A much-appreciated break in the weather today to pull the 900 out for a wash and some planning / drooling 😂 Really excited that it looks like we'll could the car MOT-ready for the New Year! 😳😀
"the sound of the doors"... I used to have an '85 900 S. (not a week goes by that I don't miss it), which I got from my Dad. It was his car before he "sold" it to me. I'm sure a good deal of love for the car is because of that. I also got his Hasselblad camera equipment when he passed (what can I say, he loved Swedish engineering!) and even though I've not run any film through them cameras, I LOVE to just snap a shot, and wind it. It sounds SOOOO good.
Sounds like your Dad knew quality when he saw / felt it! Where is that car now? You need to get some film in that camera! Im also a wedding photographer and use a 1970s Olympus OM1 film camera loaded with b&w film as a surprise 'treat' for my couples (to supplement my Fuji digital cameras): not easy to nail a shot with a manual focus lens, but SO lovely to use: as you say, its that mechanical shutter and winder, just bliss! Analogue over digital for me whether for music, cars, cameras... 😉
@@martynsboostedswedes Yeah. He was always into quality and gadgets. :) Sadly, i traded it in almost 20 years ago, after one local repair place fixed it until it was broken. :( I think I still have the VIN somewhere, so i could always do a carfax to find out where it ended up. At that point, i ended up getting a VW Cabrio which was fun when it worked, but now I want to get a 900 convertible to mess around with. My dad shot with Hasselblads and Nikons usually. Putting some '220 in the Hassy would be nice, but expensive. I did modify an old Phase One digital back to work on it though (I have a video for it here on youtube). Although I'd love to get a proper digital back for it. :D
Looking absolutely amazing! Happy for you. Love the wheels. You are as bad as I am, anytime I go into my garage for a tool or something I have to open and close a door on my vert.
Thank you mate! My bro's 2 door has been awaiting us to work out the logistics of when (and where!) to put it, but it will be recovered / 'rescued' from SAABFLIGHT soon! 😜
