I always thought the same thing, it honestly just takes practice and making sure you have the correct disc or cup. I prefer the discs as the cups aren’t easy for me use and seem to take a bit longer to get use to using.
Just started my shark weak. 🦈 lol I am learning the firmer cups AR not comfortable. I have a disc and disposable. The disposable works better for me but the disc is a Pixie discblarge and it's not a circle but almost an oval. Love this channel and love my new saalt undies!
Thanks for tips! That helped! Have a question? For how long it can stay there? For example if my period almost finished and it’s not necessary to get it out
I'm using for the first time. I've never used anything but pads before. Is it possible that my flow is too heavy and I'm overflowing my disk? At least I'm not dealing with worrying about weather my pad is leaking onto my clothes/bed/chairs, I'm wearing a pad and a disk, which helps me manage heavy flow easier, but it is definitely not leak free so far. I really wanted the less cramping, but it hurts as usual with the disk so far.
If your disc is a good fit and is positioned correctly it shouldn't leak while sleeping. One thing to check is to see if the disc is overflowing because it is at capacity.
@@saaltcustomerguru23 Thanks so much for this! And it seems like it isn’t positioned correctly but now I found out how to do it correctly, thanks for your tip! 😚💖
Stupid question: do people usually take the disc out before or after peeing? And can peeing cause an autodump? I can’t tell if my disc was not in correctly all night and my period underwear absorbed the mess, or if it autodumped when I peed because the disc was empty when I removed it after 6 hours 😅
I literally used to wear the disk without and issue . My have a high cervix and swore i git the tuck in place . I wore a dish and the menstrual cup and a pad. And still woke up with blood in my bed. I give up . The cup leaks the menstral leaks bc i cant tuck it anymore . My body must of changed bc i had no problem using these a few yrs ago . I need a longer finger or something
After two vaginal births, no disc or cups will do especially overnight. I wear adult diapers for 3 nights of the period and I feel muuuuuuuuch better. No staining anywhere.
I think mine could be too large and unable to fully expand. It always leaks when I bend, cough, or make any effort and sometimes gets released from the bone. It never fills more than 1 or 2 ml
There are two indicators that a disc is not a good fit. Firstly, if you're leaking. Second, if you're experiencing pressure. If neither of these things are happening to you, then your disc is a good fit! When the disc opens, it matches the natural shape of the vaginal fornix, which isn't perfectly round. After insertion, toggle the removal notch back and forth while gently bearing down (like passing gas) to ensure the disc has fully opened to match the natural shape of your fornix. 👍🏼
I bought a diva disc. As far as I know I'm wearing it right. It's tucked way up behind my public bone, it's open, cervix is covered. I dont feel it. But when I go to bathroom to remove it it's worked it's way forward, no longer wedged behind the public bone. And it's an absolute mess all over my hands. Using the diva cup has been much, much cleaner. I'm continuing to give it a try since it's only been a day, but I'm starting to think this ones not for me. I used to have a disc and I loved using it. Back when cups were still fairly new concept there was a company that made single use discs. I loved using those.
I'v had my Nixit disk for over two years and the frigan thing still leaks. I've tried it all and it's very frustrating. It's too bad you can't have them fitted properly for you. Yes i've tried other menstrual cups and they all leaked.
Someone help me out please. I tried a disc for the first time (no leakage)..... 1) how do I know it's under my cervix? Even with a finger I can't feel or touch it 2) when I removed it in the morning the main spillage was when removing. Not much content in the actual disc itself. Does the disc block the bleeding? And it all splurges out? I was just expecting to see the liquid blood in the disc itself
When I insert the disc the indent to pull it back out is always facing forward, but after a couple hours when I want to empty I realized it’s moved so I have to turn it around until I feel the indent again! Am I doing something wrong or is it the disc size?
That's a great question! Self-emptying doesn't happy for everyone. It purely depends on your anatomy. For those who do experience it, it's often controllable. The best place to start it ensuring your purchasing the right size for your anatomy because a disc that is either too big or too small could result in unexpected self-emptying. We recommend disc sizing based on cervix height specifically during menses; for a medium to high cervix we recommend the Saalt Regular, and for a low cervix we recommend the Small. I heard some women there saalt disc suctioned to there cervix I can't even see how that even possible getting stuck up behind the public bone maybe but
For me the disc is less fiddling than the cup. With the cup I would have to do a fold then try to pop it open by applying pressure to the bottom and then twist it to make sure its open all the way. The disc is just insert and make sure the rim is up against the pubic bone
I hate these. I still have to wear pads because I leak so what's the use right? I am inserting it all the way in and making sure it's locked and I still leak. Menstrual cups on the other hand are so uncomfortable. Fuck these and and going back to pads now
unfortunately i cant even reach my cervix so idek how i can check if its under 🥲 this was helpful though!! at least i know what the problem could be even if i cant rlly know personally ❤🎉
