Sailing around Sualwesi, Indonesia. This is our first real taste of things to come. The amazing generosity of the villagers we come across at a small islands just amazed us but it came at a price.
Enjoy

It would wear most westerners thin.. lol… I think I would have run a mile… but I’m a hermit. I appreciate the rawness & reality of your videos, so lacking in social media these days. Very nice video. Yes the Indonesian people are so nice. Some places are nicer than the other's, but overall they are all nice. I guess places that are so out of the way to us foreigners are a thrill and interest to the people whom live in the area you're at. And definitely ELI will bring out the joy and interest of the villagers. I hope the deserts you received didn't go to waste, but went to the waist eh Marie. We are speaking enough bahasa to turn off people when we don’t want them, but hard to tell people who invited you to eat, install mattresses in their living rooms to make you and your son have a nap in their house, come with pile of biscuits and fruits for you, to go away cause we need peace. 😂

Contact between vessels at anchor when both parties are experienced is inexcusable by the guilty party and the guilty party of the two is the one who anchors last.
@marie-morganerousselin2352
@marie-morganerousselin2352 2 месяца назад
The type of anchors and the technics to anchor are so different in Indonesia than we can’t really blame them, as much as it can turn us crazy. They are not using chains but ropes , their anchor are just light hooks and their boat are acting super differently in current and wind than us. They don’t have fiberglass boats like us neither and they are used to bonk in each others as they are all wooden boats and not having damages from it, and there are always people aboard to push the other boat. This is part of the clash of culture too 😅
