It's hilarious how everybody says SR2 was super serious and gangsta. For fucks sake you pretend to be a cop and show police brutality on a show called fuzz. You saw people running around flashing people. You fucking saw pirates and ninjas fighting for gods sake. Yeah, SUPER SERIOUS.
It had a balance of Wackiness and Serious. It felt like both at different points, while 3 was making fun of itself ... 4 I feel doesn't count as a Saints Row game its so .... wacky.
+Zeeshan Alabedin Meh not really in 3, the endings all sucked and were very disappointing and the game felt super linear compared to the other games but i'd say they succeeded with 4.
dont you guys remember, back when the first two was out even MORE people were bitching about it because it was a "GTA clone". so they changed it. but now 3/4 of those people are bitching about it because they changed it. logic.
***** Gat out of hell is awesome though. Killing people with guns is more mainstream then cloths. Killing people WITH SUPER POWAH AND SUPER SANIC SPEED IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Peoples reactions to SR1 & SR2: ITS A GTA CLONE!!!! CHANGE IT!!! Peoples reactions to SR3 & SR4: WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE IT!?!?! IT WAS SO GOOD BEFORE!!! Seems legit
Kyubey Meow I wa more like that: SR1 & SR2: ITS A GTA CLONE!!!! CHANGE IT!!! My reaction to SR3: THANK YOU ITS PERFECT!!! My reaction to SR4: Why am I playing SR3 DLC's?!
Not for me. I'm giving the Saints Row reboot the Highlander 2 treatment. It never happened. The series ended with Johnny going to heaven and reuniting with Aisha.
Himeraozaur dudeXD They are in COD games but you don't usually hear "Ramirez! (insert task)" In the other games and honestly if one guy is telling you to do orders he should just be watching from inside a base or something
@@BababooeyGooey Bill Clinton even used the phrase before Trump. At a 1991 campaign event in Little Rock, Arkansas, Mr. Clinton declared, “Together, we can make America great again.” He used the same phrase again during a speech in 1992 and during a television interview that same year. In a campaign ad for his wife in 2008, Mr. Clinton said, “It’s time for another comeback, time to make America great again.”
Vote Donald Trump and say no for "refugees" and then you will get one step closer to beat ISIS! Hell, even we who are not americans/live in america know who you should really vote! If you think D.T is rasist then you are blind! D.T has opened his eyes to the reality but you still live in your disney wonderland! People open your eyes and wake the fuck up! Its not rasism to hate those who come to your country just to use your countrys money, to spread THEIR "religion" and they dont give a fuck about your culture and the worst they come to our country to rape and kill our kids and women and yet you morons still want to let them in to our countries! WTF! Seriously wake the fuck up and get back to reality! PS: When the muslims will take over Europe we will know who to blame.
+Nabman11 As it should be. If the majority wants someone in office then they should get that decision for good or bad instead of relying on a select few to represent them and get bombarded with lobbyists and corruption.
SR4 also referenced the movie "War Games" when Kinzie was trying to hack into the simulation in the stage before freeing Matt. She's trying to figure out the code and she types "play global thermonuclear war." It's an older movie, so I doubt many people caught the reference
Jared Sheldon Get it. Its worth it. Get it on sale. I dont really play saints row 3. My friend gave it to me. We are not playing 3 that much since 4 is much better
Mr lee I've seen enough with the gameplay. SR 1 and 2 were my favorite games because of what they were. Sorry but I refuse to play a game that turned the Saints, a modern street gang, into an empire that sells its own toys, energy drinks, has its own movie deals. And now they have superpowers, fight aliens and the Earth is destroyed. I'll pass. They ruined what could have been a classic franchise. SR 1 and 2 were Platinum Hits. They were doing just fine before 3 and 4 fucked it up.
Mr lee It is. Honestly it depends what type of game you like, but i think SR2 is the best and they should have left that sci fi stuff for another game.
I love this game. 8/10 is probably the perfect score for this. I think we should have all stopped and admired the fact that a dev team had an unconventional train of thought and had the balls to go all-in on it.
I completely agree. My friend and I recently revisted SR3 and 4 and 3 doesn’t hold up much. Saints Row 4 if you try and separate it from the other Saints games and just view it as a Superhero game with Saints characters and Borderlands 2 like writing, it is an extremely fun time. Although I do have issues with the fact they give you super speed and jump waaaay too quickly, invalidating all the vehicles in the game. It is still an extremely fun time and it’s a shame that not a lot of people have that same viewpoint. I hope one day we can get to a point where Saints Row 4 is remembered in a much kinder light.
@@NutsorSomethingBerserk have you checked out the saints row reboot that just came out? Today is the day we reminisce on SR4, my friend. We now see it really wasn’t that bad 😂😂😂
I remember an article before SR4 released that the devs said they went with this over the top route because they wanted the fans and gamers to just have fun. Think about that: They wanted you to have fun! Certainly can’t say that about SR2022!
@@NutsorSomethingBerserk i just bought the game for $4 and so far im enjoying it lol. But i do agree with you that we get super sprint and jumps to quickly into the game.
Java Jackson oh you're one of those people. One of those people who cant tell jokes and dont get them because they no nothing about jokes on the internet like PC master race and console peasents
Playing SR 4 atm and damn, im having so much fun with this nonsense. Brotip: games are there for you to have fun. If they acomplish that, then its a good done job.
In 2021, we had a reality TV star as President, an actual rapper run for President, and RIP Biz Markie. And a Saint’s Row reboot was announced where you play as look alikes of the Deckers.
@@logarhythmic6859 Prophetic in what way? “This country needs a new administration with a renewed dedication to the dream of America, an administration that will give that dream new life, and make America great again,” Reagan said in a Labor Day speech in 1980. “I believe that together we can make America great again,” said Clinton is his 1991 presidential announcement speech. In a campaign stop almost a year later, he called on voters “to make America great again economically, educationally, and socially." In a campaign ad for his wife in 2008, Mr. Clinton said, “It’s time for another comeback, time to make America great again.”
Gonna be honest, first Saints Row I played was 3 and from what I heard it was the one where the game went batshit crazy. And I loved the shit out of it! Nothing taken seriously, insane and fun. The only problems I had with it was the general boring and lame radio music and the fact that it was pretty short.
Grim Reaper Yup, Saints Row 3 missions were fun. Professor Genki was fun as hell to do. But the story... Well, it was fun as hell to do but after I finished the game, I really didn't do much. Stopped playing after 17 hours. Fun ass fuck tho
I have around 180hrs since 2015 alone on that game. Holy fucking shit. I just deleted a 60hr game to redo SR3. Definitely a better run than the last one which also had cheats as well. Theres a lot to it I learn I can use in other games. Like a sorta training room in a weird way. I also love the plot. Sadly I've never been able to play SR1/2 cuz I'm broke as hell aha but I've been able to do my own research. I usually go out and achievement hunt and try to find glitches and Easter eggs. It's fun for killing time.
I have had 0:32 playing in my head as a default filler for silence for nearly 10 years now and I just have to come and pay respects to this masterpiece and its artists. Think that this has been a recurring thought throughout countless interactions and moments in time. Massive life impact.
Okay, I may have failed political science but unfortunately the gaming community is filled with edgy white kids that make gamers look racist to outsiders.
Steven Ung look forums and posts,sr 2 was the best, and in january volition will eat shit, cause that month is available gta 5 pc+massive multiplayer, now is when sr need a miracle
Alberto maestre aparicio Deep Silver bought the rights to Saints Row. Volition has developed every single Saints Row game in existence, including SR: TT and SR IV.
This game is insanely light hearted. The music, setting, characters, themes, references etc are all hilarious fun. I think the most serious part of the entire game is shaundi meeting her past self and coming to terms with how she used to be, since she was ashamed of being a useless drug addict back in SR2
Brent SP I kill warrens with that gun in less than 10 seconds compared to all other weapons. The only problem is it becomes hard to see as I am very trigger happy with explosives
The game is epic and crazy but the thing that saddens me is that they abandoned the epic story that was in saints row 2. Yes they wanted to be different from GTA but saints row 2 was actually better than GTA it combined both elements of crazy action and realistic gangsta style, it was like Jason Statham movie. In Saints row 3 they added more craziness but it wasn't late to return to original. (Dex still alive, Ultor) The forth one forksakened it and well it kicks ass but for gamers who liked the first to it's like Miley Cyrus for Hannah Montana fans. :(
I'm talking about Saints Row 2 and GTA 4. Graphycs and realism are not the main thing and too much realism tainted GTA a little(big improvement in GTA 5 actually)
Is it not possible to like both the original Saints Row 1 and 2, but also 3 and 4 as well? "They ruined the Saints Row series, RIP" "I'm glad they improved the series to be like this, and not some lame GTA clone." Is it seriously not possible to like both? Saints Row 1 and 2 were awesome games with an interesting story. Saints Row 3 and 4 were epic games with amazing gameplay. Both games also had it's funny moments. You can't seriously say that they ruined the Saints Row series just because they made it more wackier, when Saints Row 1 and 2 were pretty crazy themselves in some aspects. I like the whole series. All of the games were good and fun.
I absolutely loved Saints Row The Third. 120+ hours and counting now that they added it for free on Xbox Live and more people are online. I was iffy on this one since it was confirmed less than a month after SR3 came out. Picked it up day one, Game Of The Generation Edition and I will say this, it was worth every penny. Yes there are a few bits that's are real annoying like the Day & Night cycle or more disappointing was the Xmas DLC that changed the whole city to a snowed out version that you get to chill in for a whooping 3 missions before never seeing it again. Aside from that, it is fantastic. Saints Row 2 still remains my favorite but this one is still one of my favorite games in my library. Joe says it's too easy but I played it on the hardest difficulty and it gave quite the challenge. You still never really need your homies (honestly never used them thru the entire series) but it would be a lie if I said I never used them. The HAWP cast was always with me. Yes, there is HAWP DLC and it is pure win.
His SR3 review is weird to me...because I really liked SR3...but the sex jokes were a little too much. I might get SR4 because of this review...but I'm scared the superpowers might make it too easy...
Delta_62 It's super easy at first, but eventually the enemy forces become powerful enough to contend with you once your over-poweredness starts to get dull. They can even throw grenades at you that temporarily nullify your power should you get caught in their range. The hardest difficulty is a blast. You will get your ass handed to you over and over, but it's not in a frustrating way. You'll quickly learn to approach conflicts more strategically, rather than running and gunning like you would on the easier settings.
Mike Ratzer Holst You can say that again, and again for good measure. It can be fuckhard on the highest difficulty. Especially with the lack of health regen and enemies swarming you.
This game is much like... "You wanna do something cool? You wanna fight aliens? You wanna have super powers? You wanna run around naked and kill people with a dildo? FUCK IT, JUST DO IT!" Much like Shia LeBouf
Saints Row IV most definitely wasn't the best game of the year, but it was undoubtedly the most fun I've had playing a game in quite awhile! I loved every minute of it!
***** Personally, as someone who played Saints Row 2 and completed the story....I found the game a little bit too serious for my liking, as for Saints Row The Third, I LOVE that game, not one of the best stories, but one of the most fun you can have!
theexterminatorguy yeah , but wouldn't it be brown as opposed to white? I mean, unless Joe is like a bird.. ..yeah I'm leaving this conversation. Was fun
This is what should happen saints row 3 the true story go back to their roots at the end the helicopter gets shot down to tobias pierce and shaundi are dead thank fuck for that gat is on life support and you are in prisoned and need to escape and start your criminal empire again in still water not fucking steelport
They lie all the time they said in a QaA they said you could dress as a fireman but they removed the outfit but guess what they had a hazmat suit which you couldn't get but if you glitched the game you could get it then guess what instead of adding it to the game they patched it so you couldn't get it
MrArcananox I believe the gliding and jumping systems were a reference to the "Prototype" series. I mean, they're almost IDENTICAL, even the way the character moves!
PapaDan95 Ope, just bought it too. Too good a price xD And being tipsy + online purchasing + steam already had my credit card info = suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure why not ^_^
elliot wakeman some may disagree, like me. Gta games usually deal with criminal situations that happends in life we dont see that kind of stuff everyday but you know it could be possible. Thats atleast one thing that makes me like gta series or Rockstar as all. This is just my opinion but saints row atleast the new ones.will be wacky, odd and over the top but thats what makes the game fun. I like both of them but gta is going to be my favourite
elliot wakeman Tbh, GTA has always been a parody of life. It has undermining humour that takes maturity to understand. For example - GTA SA - During the cutscene of the car chase in LS, you crash through a billboard written with "A Taste of Life to Come". The car crashes through "Life to" and for the rest of the game it says "A taste of come". There was so much shit like that through all the GTA games. Infact, many of the characters names and locations are puns. Example in GTA SA - Wang Cars (Cjs car shop) is a pun for 'wankers'.
I personally love TF2, it has a lot more of a live and let live in the seasoned veteran community than battlefield or CoD, there are rule in the game made by the community other than server rules. Yknow like the etiquette of interactions between teams, if something embarrassing or funny happens you and the other team should stop fighting and harp on about it with each other for a minute or two then you go back to fighting
Totally agree with this verdict the game actually took everything saints row and said FUCK ALL and came up with this awesome, badass and completely FUCK LOGIC but unbelievably FUN game! I till date, just go into the game to actually REK people and things in the most creative and coolest ways possible. And goddamn it its satisfying as HELL!
Just a tip for anyone who wants to play a second time, look up the cheats. Its a hell of a lot better if you actually disable your powers in missions where they arent needed. Plus you can disable movement and powers seperately, so you can get rid of the fireball and telekinesis while still being able to run and jump with your powers.
I played this game for a little more than 40 hours :P I did all achievements completely 100% completion and then played it a little with my friends, great game, very addictive but not very playable for a second time.
My good sir, you brought politics into a youtube comment section and didn't start a shit storm, although i don't entirely agree with your opinion, you sir, are a legend
Saint's Row will never be perfect. back when 1 and 2 were out, people demanded change because it was "copying Gta" (let's be honest, it was) but when they do change it, other people complain that it isn't like the first 2 games.... honestly...fans, make up your God damn minds
@@dangredux2003 the term gta clone in general is fucking stupid. For something to be labelled a clone ut has to follow a formula so close that is identical to the original. Saints row had it's own elements absent in gta like create a character and the activities.
@@xlinkkaisaintsrow2365 Exactly, Sr being called a gta clone, or any other open world games, is so fucking stupid. It's mainly because gta perfected the open world, free roaming genre
This isn't a superman game. It's nothing like a superman game. Having superpowers does not make it a Superman game. It's essencially a Prototype ripoff. At least in terms of the abilities and "Superpowers" I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Just saying that it copies a lot of stuff from Prototype.
Saints Row lV should have just been released as a DLC for SR lll. The setting was similar, character creation is the same, game play is the same. All SR lV was, was a different dumb story.
