We talk about the old style vs new style SBD Singlets as well as the new women's fit singlet. All SBD Singlets are available here: innerstrengthproducts.ca/coll...
In speaking with SBD there has been no change of neoprene supplier over the years. Again, in speaking with SBD, the discussion has been around the fact that neoprene actually stiffens with repeated heating cooling cycles. So your old pair of sleeves will feel stiffer than the new pair you just took out of the package. We had sleeves from the very first shipment we ever received in 2013, I wore those for 3 or 4 years before switching to a limited release, the blue/red I believe, then to the all black, and now Endure. I can honestly say I've never noticed much of a difference, there are variances in neoprene though, as with any materials, but they are getting stricter and stricter on tolerances.
@@InnerStrengthProducts this would be amazing content if you can do a video on the SBD vs the ergo pros, and how the ergo pros are bad using a different /thicker neoprene plus adding your knowledge to it , have you used the ergo pros ?
We haven't actually had any Ergo Pros yet. They certainly couldn't be using thicker neoprene since IPF spec is 7mm. It will be interesting to see them side by side.
Hey Inner Strength; Do you think its worth buying the old one? There is an older SBD one for about $20 cheaper than the new from where I live. I watched your entire video and overall the new is better (go figure) but should I spring more cash for the new or will the old be fine? Thanks!
The old will be perfectly good for sure, the new one is just nicer overall, so if it's something you'll use for years then $20 more isn't a whole lot more.
Hi very well informed video of the SBD Singlet. I am 5'9" and weigh 74.5KG, athletic/muscular build. I want to ask for the SBD Powerlifting Singlet, should I choose Medium or Large?
Are the singlets supposed to fit tight-ish? The legs and butt feel just right, but the shoulder straps feel long. Should I exchange and size down😩 I do not know how it's supposed to fit
i weigh 80-81 kilos rn and will be competing in -83 which means i might put on some weight until my comp. bought my first singlet and L felt a bit tight. is it normal or should i get an xl even tho its 85-100?
Singlets will normally feel tight, they are designed to be form fitting. I think you'll likely get used to it. If you are over 6'3 you may want to size up for length but otherwise I would just trust that you'll become used to the form fitting nature of a singlet.
So if you are going to be competing in -93, weight-in on around 90, Would it be better to size down to a Large or would XL feel ok u belive? Feels like it might be too loose?
I would think both should be fairly snug, but I would normally say if you are on the line then sizing down is fine, they are still stretchy and should fit.
Hi innerstrength!, I'm a 105kg lifter and im trying to find out which singlet size i should take. The XL is from 85-100KG and the 2XL 100-115KG I'm planning on cutting down to 93kg next year. And I was wondering if I should buy the XL or 2XL. Will the singlet be too tight throughout this year when im lifting as a 105kg lifter?
I would recommend the XLarge. I prefer going to the size down myself as I find it fits a bit nicer, they stretch so you shouldn't find it too uncomfortable.
Hi I am 175cm (5'9") tall and i weigh 77kg. I am planing on bulking up to 93kg or 105 kg. Should i be good taking L singlet (new version) and keeping it all the time while i am fluctuating with my weight or i would need to buy XL size when i will be heavier. I have a bit thicker waist (it was 83cm when i was 74kg heavy)
You could likely size down no problem, they are stretchy so would still fit, just might find it less comfortable. I size down one size personally as I prefer to the fitment.
Hey inner strength I’m entering my first comp and I’m 275lbs or 125kg I’m planning on getting a 3xl but the sizing chart says to maybe go a size up if taller I’m 6’3-6’4 but I’m in the middle of the pack for the weight class should I do 3xl or 4xl? Thanks
Hey there, mate. I’m 6 feet 3/192cm, and at 83kg, I’m at the upper end of the large (70-85kg) and find that the large I’ve bought is tight on the shoulders and slightly loose around the belly. Love the styling and fit around the legs.
I would not recommend smaller than a medium, that said, they are stretchy so you could likely fit smaller, but the recommended size would be a medium or large.
I would probably recommend an XLarge even though you are a little below the weight range, as I find they feel nicer when they are more snug. That said a 2XL would likely be fine as well.
