A7 looks to have some quality items. I have switched my everyday shoes to barefoot shoes as I like the minimalist shoes. Luckily, I have good ankle mobility.

Oh been tempted by the new A7 belt. I have the A7 single prong pioneer cut 10mm, which is great. The A7 PAL lever over in the UK is £250, which is pretty pricey compared to the SBD at £180. I am interested to see if the new SBD belt is a new mechanism or just a different design. I am going to hold off on buying a belt until that comes out I think.

Personally I've been using the Pioneer Phantoms. Bit stiff at first but break in nice!

I haven't found much difference. Comes down to aesthetic preference and thumb loops to me.

How have you liked the A7 stuff compared to pioneer? I just picked up my first knee sleeves and belt from pioneer at your and many other recommendations

So it depends, generally speaking I prefer Pioneer things in most cases, with the exception probably being singlet. The belt itself is made by Pioneer for A7 so that's a win/win. Knee sleeves I've found the pioneer to be denser and stiffer, however for some that might be a con instead of a pro.

@BasementBrandon thanks. I just got the 10mm double suede pioneer belt and their medium wrist wraps and knee sleeves yesterday. Tried the wrist wraps...much stiffer than the stoic ones I had from Amazon. Hoping to try the knee sleeves today or tomorrow. Kind of wishing I had gotten the finished leather instead of double suede belt. Oh well. Picked up their new phantom singlet because I was already placing an order. Wondering if it's worth returning it and getting the A7 one 🤔 or is there another single ply singlet that you like best?

I didn't find it added anything extra for me necessarily, but if you're going with A7 for the rest of your kit, they're still nice wraps.

The nikes feel a bit more overbuilt, but I need some more time in the TYRs. They don't feel noticeably wider.

You wouldn’t think it, but I’ve been squatting with wedges since hiring a coach and recently he asked for a flat foot squat vid just for comparison and my ankle and hip mobility has improved a shitload, so the heels might actually help long term.
