This Figure 4 Glute stretch done against the wall is my favourite variation for opening up the outside of the hip.
When it's done against a wall like this we can sense pressure through the heel of the foot, enhancing the connecting to the glute on one side while allowing the other foot to rest on the knee while the other knee abducts outwards.

I had sciatica which only went away by doing a long distance walk. Don't know of it was the walking, the pack.or the duration. Maybe it was sleeping on my down mat. Weird but it hasn't come back.

Sciatica can be complex. This piriformis stretch can be counter productive . BE CAREFUL. I take it this guy is not a professional

Sciatica IS complex. The vast majority of the time it’s not. Take a look at the comments on the full video and see how people this helped. You’re advice is correct tho, be careful

My sciatica was gone hours after I stopped eating bread and other wheat products. Might not work for everyone, but so worth a try. I'd had days stuck in bed with pain.
