@@ShaboomquisaPippen is a 15 points per game player. An inefficient 15 points per game player. Of course he isn't going to be taken seriously. Pippen disappeared in every NBA finals except 1991. When Pippen first got into the league he was a 7 points a game player. Effectively *responsible* for Bulls loss to Pistons in both 1989 and 1990 conference finals. Abandoning the game both times (second year for migraine?) So yes, Pippen isnt taken seriously
There you have it. Jordan was critical to the Bulls legendary success. I love love Larry Bird, but no one can deny Jordan as the goat. If you look at games, Larry Bird's legendary hustle and concentration was 100 percent mirrored in Jordan. Larry was a better team player, but i have to admit that Jordan took the shots he did one-on-one because they were the highest percentage shots his team could take.
@@terrenceolivido741Yeah, I mean Jordan leads nearly every Bulls all time statistic, and yet he’s always spoken of Pippen in the most highest regard. It’s sad to see how far Pip has fallen in these last few years

Pippen was only 33 when Jordan left the bulls. He played 6 more seasons but never averaged more than 14 ppg again. That’s less than Dillon brooks right now. He was nothing without Jordan
Pippen reached his peak in 1993/94 aged 28 or so...when Jordan left the Bulls in 98, Pippen was way past his prime. He played reasonably good in Portland.
before Pippen came rite? I wonder what's those old team mates say about that .....like the new rookie hogs the ball too much ? Pippen is milking it man....
Bobby Knight said MJ was the best he'd ever seen while coaching MJ in the 84 olympics versus a STACKED nba scrimmage team the college kids beat 10 games straight. Best ever. Always has been, always will be.
AND Larry Bird called MJ “God disguised as Michael Jordan”. So either Bobby Knight and Larry Bird don’t know basketball, or Pippen is an idiot. The more Pippen opens his mouth, the stupider he looks.
Why don’t we talk more about the fact that if Scottie Pippen didn’t have a “migraine” in game 7 of the 1990 ecf, him and Jordan would probably have 7 rings. How many times has Pippen come up short without Jordan, he’s looking like a bigger fool by the day.
Michael Jordan played five seasons without Scottie Pippen 84-85 38-44..First round exit 85-86. 30-52..First round exit 86-87. 40-42...First round exit 01-02. 37-45..out of playoffs 02-03. 37-45..out of playoffs Lebron james has won more playoff Series' than any player in NBA HISTORY Lebron james has been to 10 nba finals. Only Bill Russell and Sam Jones (in a mostly nine team league) have made more nba finals appearances LeBron james carried an absolutely horrific 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers team to the nba finals In the modern NBA era (post 1960) only nine NBA top 75 players have won a championship without another top 75 player as a teammate Rick Barry (1975) Bill Walton (1977) Hakeem Olajuwon (1994) Tim Duncan (2005) (2007) Kobe Bryant (2009) (2010) Steph Curry (2015) (2022) LeBron james (2016) Kawhi Leonard (2019) Giannis Antetokounmpo (2021) As you can see, LeBron James is on the list and Michael Jordan isnt Lebron james has won 17 playoff series, without an nba top 75 teammate. Michael Jordan won ZERO In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were 83-84 bulls 27-55 84-85 bulls. 38-44 92-93 bulls 57-25 93-94 bulls 55-27 98-99 bulls 13-37 without Scottie Pippen 00-01 wizards 19-63 01-02 wizards. 37-45 02-03 wizards 37-45 03-04 wizards 25-57 02-03 cavaliers 17-65 03-04 cavaliers 35-47 09-10 cavaliers 61-21 10-11 cavaliers 19-63 09-10 heat. 47-35 10-11 heat 58-24 14-15 heat 37-45 2013-14 cavaliers 33-49 2014-15 cavaliers 53-29 2017- 18 cavaliers 50-32 2018-19 cavaliers 19-63 2017-18 lakers. 35-47 2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day. As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank. Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck. THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!! I have added a Postscript So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER to make the playoffs in 1985, as opposed to 2004. Perfect example is, the 1985 86 bulls went 30-52 and made the playoffs and the 2004 05 cavaliers went 42-40 and did not make the playoffs. Also, I don't know, possibly, maybe, Jordan had a HUGE ADVANTAGE considering he played three years of college basketball and LeBron James was 19 years old, and straight out of high school
Yup. Pippen went 1/10 in that game and scored 2 points. There's also his "oh my back!" game...game 6 against the Jazz in 98. Old Jordan had to carry the Bulls with 45 points and the game winner while Pippen had his back issues and Rodman was getting destroyed by Karl malone.
Pippen is just jealous and bitter, period! He was silent for all of these years. Now, because of his personal issues like a divorce and the brutal financial hit that comes with it, Scottie Pippen is angry! The salt on that wound is his ex-wife dating Michael Jordan's son. His wife chose Jordan's son, and him being much younger was cool with that. MJ, probably not so much. Being bipola has nothing to do with this, in my opinion.
Pippen is not a bad player but, most NBA stars are better than Pippen. Pippen is a mediocre 15 points per game player. He does play good defense, but only between 1992 and 1996. Pippen's "good years" were brief
@sumnahlennon5449 I disagree. Pippen really was great and even a revelation to thr pt fwd. When he developed thr Bulls had a legitimate 2nd weapon and he'd carry the second team. Pippen had a heavy load and players often would speak to his genius. What's happening now is really sad because he's clearly going through some stuff. And even in TLD, he ws unapologetic to ALL of the decisions he made. So there's probably a lot of lament going on. I'm not saying Pippen was Jordan or anything close. Just that it's really sad what he's doing.
@@alex1vidWhat players are we comparing Pippen to? There are plenty of top tier legends I have in mind. But Pippen is not one of those top tier players. I could make things easier and think of who is top 10 today. Top 15 or top 20. I would choose any of those players over Pippen. The alternative is if you want to say, "Pippen is good. But good by 1992 standards." But the length of time in which Pippen can be considered "great" if thats what you want to argue is brief. Pippen has more mediocre years than good years. And I don't consider 1998 a good season for Pippen.
Pippen was already a low 40% field goals scoring 20 points. Thats not greatness at all. It shows how difficult it is for *prime* Pippen to muster up 20 points without MJ. Infact, I'd say that Pippen averaging 40% field goals at that 20 points is just bad. Everyone else at that low efficiency is criticized as a mediocre player
@@KnucklesWTD-uu3ps exactly. mans was terrible in crunch time and just generally inefficient. he was fed scoring opportunities by MJ and play9ng without MJ's 20+ shots per game his scoring incresed by 1ppg! and efficiency was shit.

@@MrZackavellimost of us here watch the full 2 hour games obsessively online. So its easy to call out someone as yourself who is incorrect. Of course, Pippen only averaged 40% field goals that season and playoffs. It was *rare* for Pippen to ever *efficiently* score 20 points. It makes ALOT of sense for Pippen to not take the shot
"That wasn't Michael Jordan out there. That was God disguised as Michael Jordan." - Larry Bird, 1986. So, Pippen is basically saying that Bird is an idiot.

@@emedina73Pippen was portrayed better than he actually is. To be brutally honest with Pippen, he is just a 15 points per game player. When Bulls played Pistons in 1989, Pippen quit early. One thing to say: This Jordan's bashing on Pippen's behalf will bite it on his ass eventually. At some point someone will ask the right questions and Pippen will be seen as an ungrateful bastard who wouldn't be in the Hall of fame, much win all those titles if it wasn't for MJ.

Put Scottie on any other team with any other player he doesn't win even one championship and he's not in the hall of fame. Remove the rings and Jordan from the equation then just look at Pippens career stats he's far from a hall of famer. Pippen was honestly unreliable as a teammate. I witnessed his entire career and the fact is Jordan carried Pippen to the hall of fame. Jordan while playing baseball played in Scottie Pippens charity game with other pros where Pippen covered Jordan ... Without MJ, Scottie might have put enough together to be a decent starter on a middle of the pack team, but probably ends up being a bench player for a few years and then….

Pippen thought he's a much bigger player than he's recognized for, but in reality the main reason he even had good stats because the opponents were busy dealing with MJ. Pippen should've just been humble and still be talked about as an "inseperable" piece for bulls' championships rather than a jelous clown
Plot twist, Larsa and Scottie’s relationship is still going on. He released her as a sleeper cell agent to destroy Jordan from within by using his son. And MJ knew what was going on.
Scottie was always a complicated player. I don't fault him for the migraine game, if you've ever had a migraine, you get it. But all of his contact issues, his injury issues, the Toni last shot, the throwing the chair on the court, how he blamed Krause for his insecurities and bad contract decisions, etc. etc. have turned him over time into a very unlikeable dude. If he would be gracious, grateful, and even poke fun at his screw ups, he could have turned it all around and spun that Pippen into gold. But he went bitter and whiney, so he's become super unlikeable.
Since it became clear LBJ isnt the GOAT: 1. All the sudden kareem and russell and wilt are better than MJ. 2. All the sudden the scoring title means you're the GOAT when nobody said that from 1985-2020. 3. All the sudden scottie is a great player. I watched the bulls. Scotty was good but not a top 50 or 75 player.
scottie pippens entire legacy is tainted because hes remembered as michael jordans shadow. if you have 6 rings but you played with the goat, then you basically got carried. this is why scottie is trying to make mj look worse than he was, because the worse mj is remembered, the better scottie is.
it is simple, when MJ retired the first time the Bulls didnt win a championship, Pippen didnt carried the team, you know the rest of history when MJ returned
Jordan’s son is weird. Silver spoon and he is backdooring sneakers. Dating an old woman that was involved with his dad’s friend. Gross dude all around.
Together with Jordan, Pippen won six titles in a span of eight years. While he was mostly regarded as a sidekick, over the years, people have come to acknowledge how much of a critical piece Pippen was during the Bulls’ championship runs. Still, Pippen was never able to come out of MJ's shadow. That said, he's still well respected among current and former NBA players,
Its a shame that he's messing up his legacy because he played robin to jordans batman. To win 6 championships coming off 2 different 3peats in the toughest era has to count for something, regardless if jordan was hard on him and his teammates.
PTBLD or Post Traumatic Bill Laimbeer Disorder. Many players suffer from this after their playing careers, including the great Larry Bird. Even basketball fans suffer decades later from this frustrating disorder.
I am still baffled to the fact that just because Steve Kerr made one shot, he is mentioned before Toni Kukoc, John Paxson, BJ Armstrong and Ron Harper. Steve Kerr wasn’t as good a basketball player as some of y’all make it seem. Just because he is a championship coach does not mean he was a great player.
The thing with Pippen or Thomas is that the more they trash MJ the more they hurt their own legacies and I don't think that they realise it. Holding those +20 years grudges is crazy to me.
Ok so Scottie Pippen son is managed by Klutch Sports🤷🏿♂️ They didn't talk about after game seven against the Pistons in 1990. Michael Jordan took Scottie with him to work out and trainer with him and his trainer (Tim Grover) and that next season Pippen came back a different person. Jerry Krause told Phil Jackson he didn't care if they went 82-0, he was not bringing Phil back. Krause broke up the team after a double three peat. 1997 Jerry Krause was about to trade Scottie to the Celtics and draft Tracy McGrady.
Scottie Pippen was an integral part of the Bulls success, and he is one of the greatest players of all time. All of this animosity/jealousy towards MJ/Phil Jackson, and him losing his wife to MJ’s son, is just sad. Everything began to unravel in Scottie’s life when he wrote that book and started calling Phil a racist. If he had just stayed honest and humble, I think his life would still be intact.
Scottie had 10 years to tell this MJ straight to his face, and at least 4 opportunities to show the world that he can win a ring without him... I don't care about stats, scottie was a great talent but there was a reason why tony got the ball and took this shot instead of him, Phil was just ahead of the curve.
Scottie pippen is tripping if all those teammates were so good and they can do it without Michael how come when he retired the first time they didn't win any championships
You don't know your history at all. Look up "Hue Hollins, game 6" And let's turn this around. How come Jordan didn't win any championships without Pippen?
This is out of control! Michael Jordan won 6 rings while dealing with Krause, Reinsdorf, Pippen and Grant bickering with each other and being jealous of him. All of that going on plus much more and he still wins 6 without having to tear his teammates down, all while giving them props and appreciation. He is just making what Jordan accomplished even that more impressive. 🤝🏾
We all know why Scottie is doing what he is doing , he had all the praise in the world for Jordan , up till the DOC came out , and up till , it became public knowledge that his ex-wife had shacked up with Jordan's son . Scottie is infected with the green-eyed monster and that's the end of his story , he was Robin to MJ's BATMAN and he can't cope with that .
Scottie just mad that he’s broke. If MJ would have once again put him on his coattails and gave him a job. Scottie would be happy and full of praise. But Pip burnt that bridge as well
Pippen has always been a jealous guy. He suddenly has a migraine when the team needed him and when he was the man when MJ retired, he was Mr Invisible.
I remember that Pippen migraine game. Jordan was visibly pissed. Pippen can try damage control as much as he wants, but if anything Jordan didn't put him on full blast. Pippen is making himself look like an ass.
Someone close to Scottie should help him it’s getting sad. He has been through a lot and I can see how he could get to where he is now but it’s not a good look
In 88-89 season, Jordan's stats were unreal : 32.5 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 2.9 steals. 8 assists per game all season you can't really call that a selfish player.
Why Scottie, why? You were part of the best team the NBA ever had (72-10 w/chip). The damage he’s had to do to reep these petty rewards is appalling. He called Jordan a ‘horrible player’! He called Phil Jackson a racist!! He’s called himself the most important Chicago Bull?!!? Has the man lost it? Where does this end?
Pippen hates Jordan that is why he says Lebron James is better. Pippen is a horrible teammate and he tried to do what Jordan did but he never came close.
