Hi Scott - Curious if you squared the receiver face and cleaned up the lug abutments before you squared the bolt face with this tool/fixture you have. How do you know how much material you have removed from the bolt with this method?
Yes The lugs have been lapped and the action is squared first. As I explained in the video you will keep cutting until all the dye is gone. That will be at the lowest point on the bolt face.
Scout rifles are a great tool to have I have a question which gun caliber do you perfer for City carry and for Forest Wood carry I am thanking 357 or 44 but sir what is your professional opinion God bless you and Jesus saves
I am not a fan of pistol calibers in my rifles. I do have some and they are fun but if you are talking about utilitarian uses I go by this rule. My pistol is there so I can fight my way to my rifle. So I use 308 in my rifle.
