I got to met Moe and Larry in Bakersfield back 64 when they were doing promotions and were on the local TV stations. They really were very nice and answered every question I asked. I later served with Moe's grand nephew while in Okinawa Japan he was a big joker and he could imitate Moe perfectly! 👍❤🇺🇸
Have you ever watched Curly's grandson's RU-vid channel? He looks just like him. His name is Bradley Server. He sometimes chats with Moe's grandson and Shemp's great-granddaughter.
Regarding those lawsuits, Clyde Bruckman was at the heart of those. There is some more 'familiar' material in the episodes of The Abbott and Costello he was involved with.
Rick, may I suggest a topic for a Stooge Video? In the late 30s, early 40s, Hollywood was very cautious about making negative inferences about Hitler and the other Axis Leaders. The Stooges made the first film that really spoke out against Hitler. I think a video on how that affected public sentiment against Hitler would be very interesting.
Great stuff, as always, Rick! I have two questions for you... Someone told me that "The Three Stooges" were on a show in the 70's where they were the intermission act between cartoons. Is this true? Also, did they do a short film on being in a haunted house, or was it the "The Little Rascals". Thanks in advance for your expert knowledge.
Always like your Stooge blooper episodes. I’ve seen many bits the stooges do, that were done before them, by Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chapman. Also there’s one Stooge short that is like the same script as a Laurel and Hardy short. When they discover in the newspaper that Curly Q Link is heir to a fortune.
asteverino-You're thinking of the 1930 short The Laurel/Hardy Murder Case. It was later remade as If A Body Meets A Body with the The Three Stooges, the first short to feature the sick Curly. Fred Kelsey played the detective in both instances.

What is unfortunate is not that Columbia Pictures lost the lawsuit. Rather, it is that Columbia Pictures committed a reprehensible act. I find it fortunate that Columbia Pictures was held accountable for stealing the work of others. Since you deem it unfortunate that Columbia Pictures lost the lawsuit, would you prefer the Columbia Pictures profited off of their misdeeds?
