It always cracks me up how dramatic the contestants are whenever Dave describes their challenge. "you have 2 hours to tattoo a butterfly" *everyone rolls their eyes, gasps, claws at their faces, groans, rends their garments*

Nikki's wasn't bad, it was just that Kelly's was just considered better. They were both fantastic though. It definitely wasn't one of the worst tattoos

I like how nate blatantly didnt listen to ryan and kelly and he didnt make it to the finale as a result lol some dudes in tattooing really think they know best even when someone who has already made it into the finale is trying to help him. Hes just hurt himself

That hourglass on the butt looked terrible and so did Boneface’s cover up. Tbh Boneface should have sent home when Gia was sent home. Her pinup was great, his wasn’t.

Starting off you don't doubt Kelly's art opinions. Lady is on point with understanding fundamentals.

I LOVE that Ryan and Kelly, despite not liking Nate, genuinely tried to help him. I also love that Gian didn't take offense to it and knew he didn't need their help as much. I love that judges pointed out things that Ryan and Kelly brought up.

You would think a sick competitor would be an unfair advantage

I get that Kevin's tattoo didn't look the best. But something I want to say is Chris probably had already made up his mind when he told Kevin and his canvas "I'm not a color portrait guy". Chris doesn't specialize in color realism, so I don't think he was being fair to Kevin in this challenge.

I am SO glad I can binge watch these Ink Master videos on RU-vid as opposed to actually watching the full episodes of the show on Hulu or wherever, because the amount of filler BS in the actual episodes is PAINFUL. The 5 minute rewind/repeat after a commercial break is maddening. The drawn out scenes with "tense" music, waiting for a result. Countless random shots of the artists covering their face while waiting anxiously... holding their hands up in prayer, eyes upward... biting their lips while muttering quietly to themselves... The part of the show that anyone actually LIKES - also known as THE TATTOOING - is probably gonna be less than 20 minutes in a 1 hour show once you remove all the other crap.

Nate really seemed like a walking bad attitude and never seemed to have the work to back it up. No way I would let him near me with a needle.

If you turn on captions, you'll see they have Oliver listed as "Judge." I've also seen Oliver's voice attributed to him, to nobody, or to Chris. I understand why he's not on the show, but the dishonesty in the captions is gross. For Deaf or HoH people who depend on captions to be translated correctly, this is an unethical practice.

The team concept for this season wasn’t it, bc the girls in team nuñez protected the girls from team peck so much. They got their own teammates eliminated as well as themselves

They always say ‘the worst tattoo of the day’ yet kept of saying to Kevin, ‘when your tattoo wears out in the future’ or ‘in the future it’s going to’ etc etc. It wasn’t supposed to be about the future though?! The day. Ashley’s tattoo was better but the judges annoyances killed me!

17:31 no one talked about how flat that face was ?? The nose is super small and flat, while the eyes have no depth and the lips don’t look right for that angle. What’s weird tho is the sketch/stencil looked good, but somehow the tattoo turned out wrong

I DONT DISLIKE THE GUY WHO GOT FIRED FROM THE SHOW, BUT I DONT LIKE THAT WE HAVE TO LISTEN TO HIS OPINION

I really find some of the contestants' "acting" very stupid. By "acting", I'm referring to the overly dramatic "OMG - Not THIS! ANYTHING but THIS specific style/body part!" reactions. Dave: "Today, you'll be tattooing a classic style - Japanese..." All the artists: "Oh MAN!", "You've got to be kidding me!", "Nooooo! ANYTHING but Japanese!", "That is LITERALLY the hardest style to ever exist!" - topped off with the fakest whining and heavy sighing and sliding their hands over their faces. Followed by a little mini-interview with one of the artists, in which they explain WHY the specific style is SO difficult. "Japanese has very sharp, clean lines, and that's one of the hardest things in tattooing." Now, just replace "Japanese" with any other style, or difficult body part (ribs and head usually bring out the drama and panic) and it's EXACTLY the same story.

Almost all of these are terrible. The main guy (Dave?) is covered with scribbles and should go home first every time. I feel sorry for all the people that ended up with this junk.

Watching these makes me want to go watch from season 1 onwards, but avoiding season 14. Sorry, but I like Chris, Dave, and Oliver. The new judges are too nice and beat around the bush from what I have seen. I don't like them. And Dave isn't the host either. Just a very small cameo. If they weren't bringing back the original judges and host, then they should have just canceled the show entirely. Not bring it back for a new iteration and having quite a few weirdos on the show. Some of them don't even look like they finished high school!

Brooo the way NICKI looks in this season… she is a DIFFFERENT HUMAN NOW. Doesn’t even look kinda the same. A lot of surgery paid for
