Nick asks Vondas for help in resolving Ziggy's problems with Cheese. Nick later tags along with Serge to the latter's meeting with Cheese and watches from the car as Serge and his associates draw guns on Cheese's crew. Serge then arranges a meeting in which Proposition Joe agrees to compensate Ziggy for the torched car. However, Joe makes it clear that Ziggy and Nick would both be dead if not for their association with the Greeks.

We've seen throughout the show (including flashback scenes) that Prop Joe would happily act in a way that led to your death: Sending Omar on Brother Mouzone, sending Andre to his death, and getting the school kid who reneged on the deal punished. Prop Joe only caused (never ordered) death when it was within a proposition, Avon ordered killings to protect the organisation and family, and Marlo ordered killings just for sport.

It’s so sad that joe knew the whole time cheese was a cancer but he couldn’t end him cause he was his sisters boy but cheese ain’t had no problem giving Marlo the drop on him so by that principle I think joe could’ve justifiably ended his nephew cheese

Everyone says this..but Prop Joe made a huge mistake which led to his downfall.....he embarrassed his nephew Cheese in front of everyone at the CO-OP. In a real corporation a decision like that is made behind closed doors so as not to ruin someone's reputation.

Like the way Sergi directs Nick during the sit-down, swings round to let him know to be silent when he's turning out of turn, nods when its time for him to talk, confirms Nick story of Cheese upping the debt, moves his hands when Joe asks for verification of Nick's ties to them and points when its time to go. Real mobster shit.

The way Joe turns his head when I gets the full scope of what Nick wants is great acting. The camera stays on him and you see him go from annoyed to really annoyed. I'm glad they didn't cut away to Nick or Serei like most other shows would do.

Love how Sergei's guy, the one who gets in the back seat, climbs up on the stoop to be on higher ground right before Sergei pulls out his gun. That suggests that he was most likely foreign military at one point and understood the importance of higher terrain. It's the little details that makes this show so great.

@@EnricoPallazoThe details matter. If am correct the Greeks were inspired from the 80s creek gangsters in America in the north of the country. David Simon was active as a journalist as well Ed Burns during the time the Greeks where in the states. Plenty of Russians came to America escaping gulagd and executions. As well soldier from conflict who joined Vory or theif in law crime groups or other European mafias.
