you do realize that the repair was mediocre at best and downright dangerous at worse. When the actual chassis and suspension is damaged in a crash that car should not be driving especially since all he did was weld an extension onto the original chassis without replacing the whole rear drivetrain and suspension. And more about those extensions he welded on, if the weld points rusted the whole rear would practically fall off or would become loose. If the car got in a crash again it's more than likely that the rear would snap off taking the bumper and trunk off with it. So yeah pretty dangerous
WOW I was a Body man Paint man and a frame man for automobiles for over 40 years. I was considered one of the best. This guy is better than I was. At half the age. Good for you young man. He looks like he took pride in his work. This is a rare combination and his boss better make sure he keeps him.
Looks like all damaged parts are replaced with new. The only thing that is different from the factory is the quality of the weld. This guy works for Nissan in China so the repair must be approved by the factory.
@@tabryis No it hasn't, don't talk bullshit. This isn't even a body-on-frame car, it's a monocoque, and all damaged panels have been replaced in their entirety, and joined in the factory weld locations. It is no different from a newly built shell.
@@kyle8952 The fact that he's using the frame puller after welding on the new panels and subframe pieces tells me otherwise. They don't do that at the factory champ

Youre right. You never know how they fixed it. This one is as safe as the 1st day it came out of factory though. He just welded new panels in place of old one. Just what the factory does, weld all panels together. Now if he had repaired structural rails, then it would not be safe.
If you have the knowledge to evaluate a crashed car you can still safely purchase cars with minor accidents. Minor means no frame damage so the structural integrity is not compromised. For cars that unfortunately had structural damage(the one in video is SERIOUSLY damaged), it’s impossible to restore original crash worthiness, but they are priced accordingly as well. Depends on the buyer’s circumstances they’re still safer than motorcycles.
This guy knows where exactly each and every stich of OEM weld marks are and to have access to all the parts that he could gather and redo everything is amazing. He's so super at his work too.
كل الحب والود والإحترام لفريق العمل هذا ، في بلادنا نقوم بالتصليح بدون تغيير الأساسيات وبإحترافية عالية جداً . All the love, cordiality and respect for this work team. In our country, we do repairs without changing the basics and with very high professionalism .
This would be considered totalled in the US for the labor costs alone, but watching this repair was impressive, with the fit and finish of the panels *better* than OEM.
Great repair and fascinating to watch, I used to do work like this in the early 80's. The problem for the near future will be rust. After welding, in the original manufacturing process cars are dipped to get a seal inside all the hidden box sections at the backside of welds where the metal has been oxidised. This repair has rust pre-built into many structural areas and won't last long.
@@rdgreen5967 I watch somebody do something like this years ago it all starts with the frame rails and when the frame rails get bent and they’re not square nothing is going to line up correctly. And certainly not down to a quarter of an inch or less. That’s why when a car is made at the factory the frame rails are put in jigs and are lined up perfectly with crossmembers and then everything is spot welded while in this jig. When the frame is released from the jig, measurements can be taken crisscross from one side to the other and the measurements should be identical.Kind of like when a carpenter measures a door for square, if the frame is not square the door is not going to line up and close right.
Truly Amazing at your skills 👏 But protect your eyes for long term use ... the harmful light from welding penetrants the eye lids and has a cumulative effect. 👍😎👍
Думаю ,там все заранее подготовили ,чтобы видео не было длительностью три дня.Да и авто конструктор все панели заменил, четко и быстро.Там никто не будет заморачиваться искать бу донор и так далее все быстро.
Repairing by going back to the very component and method of assembly from factory not only maintains the safety of the original factory safety standards but also keeps jobs and saves the environment by reducing pollutions, minimising energy used to manufacture new products/ transporting it and to recycle the waste. Throw away and laws preventing repairs (totalling/write off etc) is to increase profits.
Truth. Major issue in the tech industry too. So many companies use the idea of "safety" as an excuse to screw over the consumer and pass useless laws that serve to make them more money.
It's great to see a car that's not considered" totaled", when the rest of the car works good.. Amazing work. Maybe some extra reinforcement in critical frame areas though
Gives an excellent insight into car repairs. Good on ya mate👍🙏.... A tip....check the gap between the wheels and the arches, wheel well of the car...bent frame and it's different gap readings. 🙏👍
This guy is awesome...knows what he is doing and just does it...to perfection...that is hard to find today...due to the fact everybody wants done right now, great work..
Mungkin abang ini bekerja gajinya tdk terlalu besar..tapi karena hobby ke outonotive jadi abang ini terlihat senang mengerjakanya..apalagi tau awalnya mobil bekas accident direpair jadi seperti baru lagi senang sekali lihat hasilnya..salam kenal dari kota purwokerto jawa tengah indonesia..sy selalu mengikuti video video anda..thankyou👍👍👍👍👍
Are you kidding? The U.S.skilled labor force is second to none. Where is his skill for protecting his eyesight? Typical 3rd world country with ZERO standards to protect its workforce. Let me guess, you are a republican with no respect for labor. Are unions an evil enterprise to you?
I must say that this guy did an incredible job. You can repair most any thing if you have the right tools and intelligence plus the desire to do a professional job because your name is on it. Fantastic work. A plus my friend. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇦
Yes I agree he does amazing work fixing these mangled cars. But I wonder if that’s safe ? in the USA a car like that would be declared total loss and I wonder if doing all that work labor and parts exceed the value of the car ?
This car is total loss to my opinion as well i dont want to know what will happen in the next crash behind this car.the chassis was damaged , theres thing you just dont repair
The repair you see is pretty much a optical one, and cant be compared to how it really should be repaired or simple put as a total loss. The frame obviously took a dent, and i bet there has'nt bin any analysis other then the back of the car. It wont perform as intended in a second chrash; aluminium frame has just bin stretched out to it's original form and thats it. Simular as chrashing a can the first time. It's difficult. Now put the chrused can back together as much as you can, and chrush it again. You'll see the 2nd time its alot more easier. Thats pretty much what this car is all about.
@@Jeroensgambling I guess they have different laws and DOT regulations in those countries . But yea if the chassis is bent or mangled it won’t perform the safety as when original from factory.
@@xavilopez4716 So from i understood from USA is that some written off cars are simply put to states where they have low regulation and being brought back into the market. Same as "water flooded" cars. We see it in europe too; it's a mass scale scam really, buy chrashed / written off cars, apply a repair and re-sell for market value with profits obviously. Next buyer woud'nt even know the history of the car. its not a joke to drive around in a chrashed car. Ive bought a merc cabrio one day; looked OK and it did had warranty. Once i had it and attempted to install a subwoofer i realised the car had bin in 3 different accidents, front, side, rear, with all poorly done repair jobs. Now the part where you and your passenger normally put your foot down, was absolutely rusted up and standing on it just crushed with your foot going straight through it. How on earth did that pass through MOT here in Portugal. For a price class of around 12.000 euro you expect something decent but that price was only based for being a "mercedes". Lol. I gave the dealership the worst of the worst and traded in the car. This is so utterly dangerous.
