Because he is (relatively) He's one of the youngest members on an active team, and never really got a chance to grow up (after what happened to his planet) He gets better.
Because he is! Teal'c is old and wise. Ronon is in comparison a rebelling teenager, wanting to prove his worth as a man by taking down an elder. Teal'c indeed understands this perfectly.
They're both equally intimidating in their own way. Ronon due to his wild and unpredictable personality and appearance and Teal'd due to his calm, coldness and well, also his appearance, especially under the right light
Sam didn't leave because Teal'c asked her to. She did because the amount of testosterone flooding that room was too dangerous to stand in. I mean Kratos meets Aquaman. What'd you expect
I get that Ronon has trust issues and is automatically defensive, but considering at this point he has a built a good relationship with John, Tayla and Sam (and even Rodney to a lesser extent), you'd think he'd be a little bit more...friendly to Teal'c from the get go. I'm sure Sam and Rodney would have told him about how great a warrior Teal'c was, perhaps Ronon would've respected it? I dunno
Yeah I hear that, but I think Ronon was more focused on sizing him up because of the number of stories about Teal'c being a great warrior and former servant of another galactic evil, which Ronon fought against with all he had and lost. Ronon probably just wanted to see what the best bred warriors of another galaxy were made of. Besides, Ronon's trust was earned only after some time with John, Tayla, Sam and McKay. He didn't know Teal'c and probably was seeing if he would even like his personality. That stare down was also a challenge that a warrior like Teal'c immediately recognized as an invitation to rumble, hence why he asks Carter to leave.
Also, the whole episode is about them getting to know, and trust, each other. If Ronon just trusted Teal'c from the start, there wouldn't have been any conflict to build the episode around.
They're the two warriors in the Stargate universe. Of course Ronon felt he needed to challenge Teal'c. It was a good episode. They liked each other at the end.
This was literal fan service, because there was absolutely no reason for their feud. They could have easily explained it as oh, Ronon is having a psychotic episode or suffering from wraith enzyme withdrawal. They could have even made it a conflict of races, that maybe Ronin has encountered Teal’c or his kind before and really doesn’t like them. Instead it was just a case of “oh look it’s Teal’c, we gotta see them fight, because what else are we gonna do with him?”
Ronon already isn't that talkative, even among the people he works with. Trust for him takes quite a while to grow. He sees a stranger meeting up with them and then tries to coach him on something he feels isn't necessary for coaching and doesn't like assistance in general, even when folk save his life, although he has shown gratitude in certain situations where help was needed. Where would Ronon even encounter another Jaffa in his galaxy? He just went against Wraith and nobody even heard of them until people found Atlantis.
@@Yabuturtle By that logic He should be beating someone senseless every time they look at him wrong. His aggression was so over done here, you were made to think there was a reason why He was so particularly hostile toward Teal'c. A "reason" would have been better than just the aforementioned, which is what it boiled down to.
@@Lava91point0 Not really "hostile". Just not very warm and welcoming and he's usually like that towards most people anyway. He didn't really become hostile until Teal'c started testing him.
