😂😂😂 slow motion has me laughing my ass of bro. I have a zx6r and a shadow 750 is my second bike I feel you bro. Been thinking abt a magna maybe. V4 100hp sounds amazing compared to 45hp lol
Just went from an 09 R1 to a 11 Shadow. Best decision ever. Nothing like comfort, open air, not having insane lawbreaking power at the twist of a wrist. I do miss the carving I could do on an R1, but on the roads in my area there's so much gravel spill that too far of a lean angle on the wrong twisty road will send you in a crash. I do miss the braking power of a sport bike as well. I don't miss the pain in the wrists and achy back on long rides.
I've been on the 1800 for over 3 years, but I loved my Aero 750. I actually just stripped all the shit off my bike, the fairing with the speakers and windshield and stereo, now I've fallen back in love with it because it reminds me of my shadow but with ridiculous balls.
I had that exact year bike for years. Was my only mode of transportation, and I even moved (across state lines) on it multiple times. That thing was a tank. Always just ran and ran with no issues. Loved that bike.
Thinking the same, was looking at 2022 dark grey and dual red seat Honda Super Cub until people mentioned it can't even go to 60mph only 55 and would be to dangerous on the highway. Was wanting a firs bike, eventually learned of the Honda Shadow and settling on the idea of it as the first bike. Also has great design looks/colour schemes (and probably can ride it longer, apparently 2-3 hrs on the Super Cub and your behind will hurt like hell).
@NGCS-ej4lz Yeah, I just found out about the shadow 750, and I fell in love with it and I haven't even got one yet haha I'm looking for an 07 as my first bike. They're cheap too, at least these older ones and they sound fuckin badass with the right exhaust system. Got that classic look and sound that I'm going for.
ive got a 2001 sabre vt1100...at times i would like to have another gear, but i gotta say i dont do alot of downshiftin on hills ,0-80 it isnt a dog with 51k on it will still get it and is alot of fun to ride and always seems to start...
I’ve got the same year and color bike and haven’t tried this. Not much of a speed demon so that seems like plenty of top speed for me, doubt I’ll ever get there lol. Stay safe!
I'm six foot three 260 lb and I've always liked the Honda Shadow. But this be a good bike for me if I'm not looking to do anything more than 80 maybe 85 on the highways on a 200-plus miles trip back and forth.
So not criticism or nothing, but i got the same bike from my dad but with a vance and hines dual pipe setup and it sounds beastly AF. If you still have this bike id love to see what you would think about that. Love the bike man, yours i mean lol. Hope youre still keeping 2 wheels down and racking up the smiles brother.
So on the left there is a HUGE drop off onto some railroad tracks and left of that is a river about 250ft wide. On the right of the road there is a 400ft rock wall from strip mining. The only place something could get in front of me is 500ft down the road AHEAD of me in ONE spot where like I said I can see 500ft OR MORE ahead of me. If It takes me 500ft to see something, I deserve to die. I've rode for 17 years, I 100% know things can happen. Grow some balls and live a little
I had mine up to about 110ish but it’s tuned up a little bit and faster than it usually is. But geared for better highway 38 tooth rear instead of 41 tooth it tops out about 95
I've gotten mine up to 110. Could've gone faster, but I've only been riding 3yrs, and didn't want to push my luck, and admittedly, the speed made me nervous.
Did you hit a speed limiter. The acceleration looked pretty good till about 100, where it looked like it just stopped accelerating. I saw you held it for a while.
I think it just didn’t have anymore umph left in it lol. Definitely didn’t hit any kind of limiter, probably could’ve went a little faster if it had a set of exhaust and intake mod
I have a 1990 Suzuki intruder 750.... It's the fastest 750 metric cruiser or any cruiser that you can buy production. Obviously, race bikes and flat trackers are different story..... But dude it does like 110 easily and it does 0 to 60 in like 4 seconds for a cruiser. I'm actually surprised every time I ride it. It shocks me and I've watched a bunch of old videos. And yes, it's the fastest one out of all the 750-800 it will even be a sportster 1200. I guarantee you I beat big bagger Harleys 0 to 80 and then they passed me after 80. But still that's sad and I only paid 600 bucks for this thing bro. I had to put a clutch in it and change all the fluids and put fork sales on it. I'm only into it about 1200 and I've written it like 7000 mi this year alone
I’ll have agree with ya. Even this shadow surprised me on the 0-60. It was faster than my Harley sportster 883 ever thought about being. Twice as comfy too.
@@WheelieWeasel I meant my RMX 250 will eat my intruder 750 it has tall gears heavy fly wheel. Mine is uncorked and has RM head and other trick parts....
this is the best bike on market ever! for the money, just get the 1100 if you highway travel. the 750 motor sounds terrible after 70mph revs to high needs a 6th gear! this bike easier to ride than harleys and control. they shift like butter clutch n gears fantastic. keep tuned up oil n coolant changed all you ever half to do is change tires. reliable easy to work on. it is way more fun to be able to take a bike to its max than to have a bike that goes so fast its dangerous and you can never reach its max roads in usa are t dangerous for speed. this bike is 530 pounds balances itself after 4mph . it does suck the gas fast small tank goes about 60 , 70 miles. refuel.
Hi, I’m repairing my Shadow 2006 aero speedometer but the needle is broken I tried to repair it but my wife accidentally put it in the garbage… I need a new one but I don’t find any supplier… any idea?
I wanted to see how fast my SV650 would go one time… I hit about 120mph just as I hit a pothole and wobble. I got home, threw those underwear away, and never did that shit again. 😂
Seems about right .. I remember riding with a friend headed uphill on a highway. My friend, on a bmw dusted me in seconds while I barely managed 85 . I was not impressed…!
The shadow 750 has more rorque rhana bandit 600,the bandita lot more hp but the bandit is designed to stupidly fast at well above legal limits. The shadow torque comes in at a much lower 3000 revs too meaning it should be a nice relaxing cruiser with more than enough power for legal speeds
@WheelieWeasel well I did the ultimate idiot move. Caught the dipstick shooting out then brainless me jabbed ot right in. Instant motor stop. Going over everything I only see one tooth off the basket gear. Got new clutches and a outer basket. It is soon smoth now
I'd seen it way before it got to me. The only place it could've ran out was at the bottom of the hill. Most of the video on both sides is a cliff from this entire area being strip mined
@@red_reaper1729you get the same feeling yeah?, the feeling where you want to fill that missing part of your life but can't and that hole in that heart burns with loneliness and desire to be filled
About to sign up for motorcycle course to get my license, never riden a bike before would this be considered a good beginner bike or should I get the 1100 or 1800?
Bro don't get a 750 I just started riding got a honda phantom 750 and I'm already like damn I should have gotten something faster it IS A GOOD BEGINNING BIIKE YES but one month later I'm like damn ........shit
I watch these videos sometimes and think "man why would anyone want such a slow bike". But then, it hits me... I own a 2024 low rider st, and ive yet to go over 90mph with it, and that was only due to following the flow of traffic on the interstate🤣 For any new guys/kids looking to get into riding, buy the small bike. Buy the slow bike. A lot of yall will stick with it for your entire life and never want more power. Most of these youtube riders you see, are adrenaline junkies. Bike demons. Theyre not representing most riders. A 650-800cc bike is PLENTY for the vast majority. You dont need a big harley or expensive liter bike, anything with a motor and 2 wheels is gonna put a smile on your face.
It can do 100 but dude it screams at you while doing it, it starts screaming at you at anything over 70 lol if it was a 6 speed with a high gear it would be the best bike. Riding at low rpm is so much better. Once you hop on the highway the rpm’s get a bit uncomfortable
@@WheelieWeasel they only made the 800 in 88 and for some reason it’s the only one with a 4 speed, from what I can gather the final drive is similar to the 750’s it just doesn’t need that additional gear to reach that speed
100% a bad time but running 105mph pinned is not too fast for my headlights considering I could still see another 500ft in front of the lights lol video just makes it look darker than it is
@@WheelieWeaselI'm not talking about you, friend. I say this for those in the comments who compare this bike with faster bikes and argue about its speed and whether it is slow or fast.
A lot of people say that but I don't hear it. Wayde has a lisp and can't pronounce a lot of words good. I just have a redneck accent and not a very deep voice
Nothing wrong with it at all lol. Try riding against 35mph wind gusts while running slightly up hill and going 100mph. With high winds and a uphill it makes for a hard pull
@@WheelieWeaselto be fair I am close to 300 but the bike didn't seem to care unless I was going up a large hill on the interstate. do you have any mods like larger rear tire? i see yours is 07 so maybe the shaft driven ones do a lil more
Cool I just bought one do you know how to adjust the ideal is it the it being a dual carb and the first bike I’ve really worked on in years having a little trouble and all I want is a you tube video identifying all the screws ect.. on the carb with it still mounted on the bike because I don’t want to remove it if I don’t have to and it runs just needs idel turned up a little? Any help is much appreciated thx wheelie weasel!
I sure don’t know how right off and I have sold my shadow a while back ago. I’m pretty sure though on Google you can find a manual for the year, make and model of the bike and find in that said Manual what each screw means
97 is what I can guess from this but mine went 2,000 and I’m only 14 but hey irl I wanna by one and not one that actually goes 2,000 cause I would never come up with the money to pay that ticket or no tiket😊
It’s a great place to do it at honestly. It’s the edge of daylight, the GoPro just makes it look worse. Also if a deer runs out I have plenty of time to slow down unless it jumped into me. When I can see the road way ahead of me it gives me more time to slow down
On the left side is a cliff and then onto railroad tracks and after the tracks is a river. Onto the right side it’s a 500ft rock wall that goes to the top of a mountain and right past it is a huge road with tons of houses in it but has a creek that separates it from the road
@WheelieWeasel I trust that you know the place better than I. Just be careful. I'm an EMT and i've seen a couple guys doing some "high speed tests" Around a telephone pole. 😆
@@Suger5zero completely understandable since that is your line of work! I am extremely careful wether it shows or not lol. I always have my head on a swivel and try to pay attention to a little bit of everything around me
A cruiser is weak to me. Get a 600 sport bike or bigger if you wanna feel power. A 1800 might hit 150mph if you’re lucky. All 600 sport bikes will do 150mph
