@@thebumblebeemovie3514 he did it for the lightning that always follows his transformationit is really really powerful and he exed all the demons with that. Yes he died as he returned to be billy he dropped out the sky and ... Really good movie but for me a lot of tears seeing our heroes lose was hard.
@@mysterymusician4093 listen, my mission is to tell ppl his name is not Shazam even if we can’t call him Captain Marvel , We can call him his flash point name Captain Thunder, shoot I’ll even go for captain Shazam 😂
Not here tho. The whole planet was under attack and cap was dropping the ball (refused to take things seriously, tried to constantly woo wonder woman, constantly tried to show off) Wondie was in her right for reading him the riot act
@@sudanemamimikiki1527I love how people who dont know what wisdom of solomon means argue Shazam is smart af but then this scene (and half of his appearances everywhere) proves he isnt smart.
No we need one where he's done right he's got the powers of 4 gods a titan that bears the weight of the sky and a king renound in a multitude of religions for his wisdom and knowledge he's taken on the strongest of the strong and has the centre of all magic in the universe as his homebase yet he's swarmed by paradooms a good lightning blast and they'd have been fried
@Josh Holland they weren't. The guy making this movie was pissed at DC about them canceling/ending the movies, so he decided scorched earth was the best way to do this story
I Honeslty love when they make a movie where it’s the heroes movie they win bla blah but mostly love when they make a version where the villain wins and takes over
@Wayne Fiddler I think he was maybe about 15 or 16 when he lost his limbs and died around(I haven't seen the movie for a while)3 years later so technically he was still just a teen
That last Shazam scream echoed the cry of a child seeing deaths door. It felt more like Billy wanted the wizard to come save him. Brave as he was, he's still a kid.
@@christophermbambo4388 yeah like generally his villains don't hurt billy even if almost all of them know who he is like black Adam after their first battle often doesn't go against billy or his family only the champion like he could beat billy in an instant shatter his jaw crush his windpipe savanna has enough money to buy most of fawcett hell his relationship with clarion on some timelines would give naboo a heart attack this was his one true cry for help from anyone but alas *no-one came* but with a presence of lighting and a voice of thunder he didn't go down without a fight a man to rival Constantine in magic or Dr fate in aptitude if Billy had truly had time to grow into his powers darksied wouldn't have stood a chance
@@entropy417 everyone in the dcau is incredibly nerfed compared to their counterparts in the first war movie Shazam didn’t do anything to darkseid when in comics he’s easily powerful enough to at the least stagger him
@@johnyg2285 yeah, the wounds he had were getting worst and got more wounds plus I’m pretty sure after he switch back the wounds were awfully critical in human form and the fact there was allootttt of paradooms
@@blacky8987 It was Doomsday infused organic creatures, what do you mean nerf? That movie took away all the plot armor and gave it to the street level people just so they could have relevance.
Its movie moments like this that make me hate that one justice league movie or young justice scene where they're trying to vote to kick him out of the Justice league.
I get the feeling this version of Shazam hadn't transformed back into Billy for a very, very long time. Like when your entire planet is at war, and you're constantly loosing friends, family, and even entire cities, how the hell do you feel safe enough to let your guard down for even a moment?
@@goldeng3541 no cause he just ages uo kinda so if he loses an arm so will normal Billy but shazam juts replaces it with magic so he could bleed out though there is a lot of good theories that shazam did survive he just didn't come back whether out of choice or fear no one really knows but a lot of the theories are good
@@H3llo_Fr1ends he really doesn't age up. Most people think that (even in-universe), but he actually turns into an idealized version of his dad the way Billy saw him.
Billy is just a kid, he does this because he is purely kind and wanted to help the world, no political agenda, no self righteous mindset, not revenge to anything or anyone, not even because the burden of his powers. It's not his job, he's just a kid and he still do it. Shazam is probably the best hero ever created because he was simply the definition of our younger self, us who daydreaming to save our classmate from an evil villain act.
I don't think she would. He was being very immature in Justice League War, and she was kinda right. While sure his true form was a child, when he's Shazam and in the middle of a fight to save the world. He couldn't just be a child. He had to measure up
No he wasn't, just because he killed himself to take paradooms out with him doesn't make him more of a warrior, because by that logic Swamp Thing is more of a warrior. Superman is the biggest warrior, he had no powers and was slowly dying but still fought to save everyone.
@@womanofdemise1661 actually they nerfed him too much .....he has the power of 6 greek gods even though it is fractional he is not some fodder to be taken down by parademons
@@pablobrown6017 doesn't matter if batman can take on parademons ....shazam can take out paradooms they can't be as strong as doomsday....shazam and flash always get nerfed and die in an unexpected way
Fun fact for everyone: The only reason this movie was SO dark is because DC wanted these movies to end and told the dude behind the animated movies to wrap it up. Bitter, the dude made this in order to have no one use his stories for their animated movies
Well that's not true because they can just continue where flash goes back in time. They can easily use the story and for that I don't believe this one bit
Id like to believe this, rly, but its not like DC didnt have worse movies. Source? Side note, tbh most of the Dc movies werent that good looking back; only redeemable thing were the Batman movies tbh. Throne of Atlantis was a dumpster fire and I wish they stuck to the comics and had the JL fight the army and not 7v1 Orm and lose to him
Shazam is a magical superhero whose strength rivals that of Superman and has the powers of 7 separate gods. Yet he killed less Paradooms than the Suicide Squad. They really did him dirty in this movie.
Each paradooms is basically 1 superman because they got his DNA in this movie. Suicide Squad got weapons which it equipped with kryptonite. But ya still got nerfed as fuck
i love how diana talks about herself as a great model of heroism, but whenever something doesn't go her way she just uses her muscles. even superman isn't this primitive.
Tbf that's like modern Wonder Woman, she's way more angsty and too prideful, this is why I don't completely hate WW84, the movie is cheesy as heck, but it's a decent callback at classic WW.
@@SamuraiBuns just cause you have wisdom doesn’t mean a thing if you can’t make a rational decision like most kids that are on deaths door its hard to keep a clear thought when being a kid and having to fight monsters.
I mean, he is not when he is transformed. On every physiological level he is not a child, and that includes structure of the brain. That + wisdom of Solomon on top of that. Problem with Shazam is that he is just a stubborn person. He does not learn. Compare him to Black Adam and you will see how much more tactical and rational he is in comics. Shazam IS adult in every way when transformed, but just does not USE any benefits that come from that fact. He takes no advantage in his more rational brain and no advantage in his divine wisdom. The coolest thing we saw Shazam do with Solomon’s wisdom is to speak every language… Cool and all but cannot compare to Black Adam’s speeches, all of which are quotable as hell.
@kingOL It almost as if rapidly aging with in a second does not mean your fucking brain suddenly knows how to be an adult. Thats some bs his brain may be adult sized as shazam but hes still billy motherfucking batson still a kid
I would argue that those Doomsday creatures were pretty strong by the time they were fighting these strong heroes, they snapped everyone in half the moment they grabbed someone. My point is those Parademons were almost on the level with Superman and Shazam, when he was surrounded by them and his shout only turned him into a human boy making him even more vulnerable to those creatures, and his thunder probably knocked their senses out for a second or two, given that they had adapted to most attacks by these heroes.
He's in the sweet spot of being a Flying Brick on par with Supes but not as fan-beloved as him. So, if they need to kill off a Super to show things are serious, *but* not kill anyone who's death will threaten sales/views.........
“You swing that sword with a smile on your face, and scare normal people. And you dress like a whore!” (Minutes later as Wonder Woman crosses the street) “Out of the way bimbo!” This is when you know Disney didn’t make these movies 😂
You can hear agony fear in his last shazam he was a chilld that act like a hero a warrior and a hero but in the end his a child stuck in a war of adults
I mean if it wasn't him turning back to a mortal kid the parademons or whatever would have ripped him to shreds..so yeah be definitely made the one his last Shazam..
I remember watching this and (Shazam is my all time favorite hero) when he screamed that last Shazam with so much pain in his voice, and died. I had to pause and take a breather. Btw do y'all think Shazam reverted back to Billy in that 2 year time gap? I think he might've tried to revert back but Billy's mind maybe couldn't handle the anguish of what happened. So he stayed as Shazam for those 2 years since he would be mentally and physically stronger to cope with what happened to him and his friends.
That reminds me of another story forgot what it was called but what you described is what happened in the comic but a tad bit differently needed up fighting superman but died by a nuke trying to decide the fate of the world if super heros was needed for the world or not
They are mixtures of regular parademons and doomsday. You seem to forget doomsday is as strong if not stronger than superman so they can kill all of the heroes easily as they do.
They have the strength of Doomsday but durability of a regular parademon, Machine guns would be effective but 1v1 is suicide not to mention they don't fight 1v1
Apokolips war, dark universe where Darkseid spied on the league and foil their plan to invade his world (before he can invade Earth) using an army of Paradooms, everything turns sour after that.
With how serious these newer certoons make Wonder Woman, I feel like she needs to be taken down a peg or two. That would've been perfect for Shazam to say to her.
Pretty sure he's only about 3 years older here since in JL war he looked around 14 and when he was on Apokolips he was maybe 15. And pass the 2 years after the Teen Titans and JL death and loss he was probs 17
Wonder Woman was the one who said that to him, which is probably a callback to the Flashpoint movie. In that timeline, she knew he was a kid. She forced him and his siblings to turn back into their child bodies, then killed him.
That kid was more adult than most super heroes. He lost a leg an eye and saw many friends, familly and others heroes die before him and he still fought until the end. A true hero.
Wonder Woman woke Shazam up, big time. He went ballistic and became a true warrior. He died defeating millions of evil aliens. That’s called *the Life of a Warrior…*
I loved the 1990s aninmated cartoon. Where Shazam was more of a boyscout than Superman because the child himself wanted to act like the kindest superhero like Superman.
Not only was he a teenager at this point (i.e. at least 15yo) but he also holds the great wisdom of Solomon. He clearly didn't know about his responsabilities as a hero thus WW's punch being necessary to set him straight -- he was putting billions of lives at stake with his immature, egocentric behaviour.
@@andrequintela976 This short is from _Justice League: War_ and not from _Dark: Apokolips War,_ so he's a teenager i.e. 15yo -- adding to the fact that in his shazam form he holds the wisdom of Solomon besides the physiognomy of Hercules. There's no reason to act like a kid especially during an invasion.
