Man, that Secret of the Sword commercial went hard!! But also, gave a lot of the movie away. Lol. And that toy commercial from the UK felt so much more in line with She-Ra's story than the glamorous, soft, "but she has a secret POWER" commercials America had! Lol. But I still loved them all
RIGHT?! Didn't I tell you?! The marketing!! The UK marketed her like a female He-Man toy... the US marketed her toy like Barbie going to a costume party, or buying an antique sword to put over the mantle in her dream mansion. Just noticing the music in the middle of the UK one, at the point where She-Ra & Catra are racing on their steeds, sounds like a still pretty cool knockof of Bonnie Tyler's "holding out for a hero" interlude ( which they used for the MOTU:revelation trailer to get all the old-school fans 80s excited lol ): I'm fittin' to rock out with this commercial!! The UK Mattel team knew how to market a She-Ra toy, the USA Mattel "girls" team clearly did not.
I like to imagine the reboot it's: Catra: Adora, I'm going to the store to pick up milk. Adora: Okay, love y-hey, why are you taking Swiftwind? Catra: Because it's fun.
The cartoon was meant for kids. It didn't have any adult themes it was nostalgic for sure. If there going to do something big with she ra the time is now. Perhaps teaming her up with wonder woman and having batman and superman there wouldn't hurt
@@RetroToysandCartoons Very welcome! Thank you for the reply! ♥️🥰 The 80s were the best! I kept so many of my toys. Rainbow Brite, the sprites, popples, etc ♥️
Please don't hate me for saying this but i still hope they make the live action She-Ra show it might be better than people think She-Ra should have the same right to be brought to life like any other super hero and like her brother He-Man.😊❤
