Just that line says so much doesn’t it to meet your fellow man on the same level it’s an inner richness that is priceless that’s why he is the king and more like James brown said elvis Presley you’ll never see another brother like that one again in that the truth
@@peter22564 , hi there. You are so ,so very right!!!!. That one line " sums it up !!!!!". People, were people, regardless of race ,skin color ,ethnenticity ,he treated everyone the same!!!!!,, and my lord 🙏,, I pray for the day, that more people, will stop the racism, not just in the USA ,but the whole world 🙏. What a beautiful lady Estelle is, i hope she is still Alive. They ,the sweet inspirations were great, anybody in Elvis's band wer great, to be able to keep up with Elvis. RIP ELVIS, AND HIS FAMILY. GOD BLESS EVERYONE, AND ALWAYS TC.

I just watched a RU-vid clip about Quincy Jones claiming Elvis was a racist this women new him tells the truth - seems Quince is the real racist and green eyed monster
This is Elvis.... this is the man that some people are saying did hate black people....so i want to know this,.. how can a man who made it big off of black people music, inspiration and God knows what else black.... hated us.... people must stop saying things like that and leave Elvis alone..... the man was for all of us.
Elvis combined black blues with white country. That's progressive. Elvis wasn't just black music alone. His diversity and soul is multi racial. I have studied this subject longer than you've been alive. Elvis's chameleon voice was always changing. Don't try to put elvis into one category, it makes you look silly. White country and black blues came together in the soul diversity and sheer artistry of the king. Today's lesson is on the house.
Most blacks know that elvis was not a racist. Only racist blacks and mentally unstable left wing socialists call elvis a racist. Be careful about ypur Democrat party. They are now run by left wing government control socialists, and they are the enemy of liberty.
What an amazing woman! The Sweet Inspirations were part of the Elvis experience. He loved and treated them like family, lavishing them with expensive gifts. He not only sang with them, but ate with them, prayed with them, laughed and even cried with them. One of the venues didn't want to allow his backup singers onstage because they were black, and Elvis told them that if his girls couldn't be on stage, then neither would he. The venue didn't want to lose all that money, so they allowed it. Everything about Elvis was pure class!
•💟• "I'm not a king, there is only one king, that's King Jesus". "I'm not your boss, I'm your brother". Elvis is still leading us, correcting us, giving to us, and easing our pain, even 45 years after he passed away. Thank you Estelle. What a lovely woman and an authentic "Inspiration". •💟•
Roger Barrett I was 7 when Elvis died I still remember that day vividly, it’s almost like the world stopped that day, he never lost his humility and remained humble, he never forgot where he came from, a dirt poor kid from Tupelo, MS.
What a beautiful lady. It is so wonderful that there are still people around who worked with Elvis that remember his kindness, humility and sheer awesomeness as a human being. He was that before becoming the King of Rock and Roll. Estelle is right - we were all touched by Elvis who really was sent to us as an angel from God. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
tony Falla - That has never been done by anyone before or after Elvis. Most people don’t realise how hard a worker he was. I’m sure that insane schedule contributed to his early grave.
@@twiggyb01 And for all that Bob still isn't as big a cultural force as Elvis - to be referenced in as many TV shows, had as many books written about him and as many lookalikes in the world.
Sweet Lady! Early 70’s the Houston Astrodome told Elvis that his black backup singers wouldn’t be able to sing on stage. Elvis said if they don’t sing then I don’t either. Elvis loved those girls and respected them greatly.
We were all touched by an angel . . . Elvis. I think that has to be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about Elvis. Special young man, and a sweet lady who appreciated singing with him. Thank you for sharing.
There was a movie about Elvis helping a young girl who was very sick and lived in a place for kids who had no one. It was Touched By An Angel. I think that is what she was referring to and then went on to say he touched us all because he was an angel. Yes, Estelle, he defintely was. God sent.
@Eye. stupid Benny Spy I don't know how Elvis was with all these women? What about Kathy Westmoreland? Geesh I wish I could have been able to see Elvis, but didn't have a way to get to any of his concerts.
It would have been " AWSOME , " to be a part of Elvis history. I had seen the show in Hawaii, and two other shows. It was Absolutely amazing, and what a " TRUE ENTERTAINER ELVIS WAS". He cared ,about his fans, and giving them the best show ever ". He had a great sense of humor ,charisma, kindness, generosity, looks ,and not to mention " his WONDERFUL VOICE ". Estelle, God bless you ,and 🙏 thankyou so, so very much for your beautiful, story about your time with Elvis, and you, and the other ladies, in the sweet inspirations, you were ,and still are absolutely beautiful!!!!!. Elvis, would only have the best, and you were the best. God bless you Estelle 🙏, and God bless Elvis, and his family, in heaven, and still living 🙏. God bless everybody, and Tc always 🙏 ❤.
Oh Dear ! You were so blessed do be so near him!Blessed because you had the chance to share the same space, the same eyes glance with someone we all pay a big respect , because he was .....Elvis Presley! Thanks so much for your words, because we see in you a little of him! Your words are so wonderful that to say thank you is not enough!.Blessed the day you met him!!!!
What a wonderful woman....I've seen this interview many times but I only now remembered....elvis played on the big screen with his backing singers and musicians PLAYING LIVE in the 90"s official tour ...I saw one of those shows .....and witnessed the incredible music ...RIP
Didn’t get into Elvis until years ago when I saw a documentary on him. He was one of the funniest men ever just having his entourage rolling round in fits of laughter . The rest followed. Rest in peace Elvis👍🏾.
I met this sweet lady in 1992 Inglewood,California in a Christian bookstore i was working in. Sweet,Humble.Thankful to God for keeping her alive..How did i recognize her?...She was wearing a TCB necklace! I recognized the necklace then i recognized her!... I said only one person authorized that design...She said yes Elvis Presley gave this to me!....Sweet lady!
@Nikki Huffman TCB Is a necklace design commissioned by Elvis that he gave to his inner circle...It stands for Taking Care of Business...He also had it painted on the tail of his jet airplane.
It is hard to imagine being able to be Around someone like Elvis. I was only 10 when he passed away and I had thought the world came to an end around me. His songs always brings back you my youth and somehow makes me feel better no matter what is going on in my life.
She said, Elvis was not human ,but an angel. I always thought that. He's brought many to Jesus, through his gospel music. He was a gift from God. One day I'll meet him in Heaven. God bless you Elvis.
What encredible women she is.So honestly when she speaks of Elvis, look at her eyes they are so honestly and full of compassion and sadnes. She knows him very well. All the best...
Don't believe we ever will. When he made Elvis he broke the mold. To do those shows then go back to his room and sing gospel the rest of the night.he'd say he was not king, Jesus was king, he was humble. He treated everybody equal made him a good man.I think God knew how special Elvis was that's why he took him early, yes I believe Elvis in heaven singing gospel. B.a.jj
I remember Estelle and The Sweet Inspirations in some of my most earliest memories! I had all of Elvis's VHS tapes. The Sweet Inspirations were all so classy and talented they accented Elvis so perfectly. They had an Angelic like presence and were right there for some of Elvis's most iconic performances. #legends
I saw Elvis twice during the early 1970’s, at the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia, and again at the Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee. I was 14 years old and just enamored with him!! ❤️
Everyone say's nothing but good things about Elvis. Would that have been a good treat to sing with Elvis..He has a Sweet Sweet Spirit..Elvis You Will NEVER Be FORGOTTEN...
She’s so right, Elvis was an angel. I only ever saw him once in person & it was one of his last concerts ever, a completely unforgettable unbelievable experience. I was never an Elvis fan before but I am forever an Elvis fan since. That man absolutely had the voice of an angel, & I’ve never heard anyone sing better than he could, before or since. His voice was unearthly, truly a gift from God, & there’s no recording that captures his god-given talent. How blessed this lovely lady was to have spent eight whole years, performing with the King of Rock ‘n Roll. Long live the King 🤴 👑
Elvis always said that The Sweet Inspirations "lived up to their name". I know they were a great vocal group, just like J.D. Summer and The Stamps Quartet, The Imperials Quartet, The Jordanaires and "Voice". And Kathy Westmoreland was a great soprano. All were great groups, and Elvis was lucky to have them all!
I would have loved to shake Elvis's hand but would love to shake this wonderful vocalist just as much. Much respect to the Sweet Inspirations Elvis's angels...
Estelle Brown....you are still a Sweet Inspiration! Blessings from Philadelphia, Pa. June 28,2019 Elvis was right,he was your Brother.....if only everyone felt that way! BRAVO to you Estelle Brown, This brought tears to my eyes here in Philadelphia, Pa.
THEY WERE A HUGE PART of his last 8 year's , beautiful too what she says at the end ! I am now 56 and saw ELVIS at SAHARA TAHOE on 10/13/74 when I was 11 & he surely touched my heart too !
God bless you Estelle..such an amazing and lovely lady! Elvis would be proud! Beautiful, beautiful memories you've given to us all..thank you for that ❤️
I grew up listening to Elvis as a child. My mother and Aunt had every album and movie that he ever did. I was just 2 yrs old when he passed but in our home he continued living on. Now I’m grown with a child of my own, and I still continue listening to his music and try to share with my child what my mom and aunt did with me.
A beautiful touching story and magical moment in history that will never be forgotten. You can feel Elvis’ and the Sweet Inspirations’ spirituality in their music which was gifted to the world.
If anybody knows the true Elvis, it would be those in his band. When you listen to the accounts of those who were close, those who were there everyday, they all praise what a good guy he was.
Estelle, You were a wonderful singer and performer for all your life. Thank you for these memories and your contribution to the Elvis Presley show. God Bless You and your loved ones
Today I'm 55 y.o. I discovered Elvis when I was around 6 y.o with my father (an amateur guitar player who was a fan). I remembered being flabbergasted watching the movie JAILHOUSE ROCK on our new color TV ....for the little girl who loved to dance on her father guitar music...that man on the TV became instantly her "other" IDOL after her father. Since then, both men died, but I'm still remembering both of them with their music.:-D
Beautiful memories she has from 1969 to 1977 of being Elvis's back up singer. Her words were so appreciated of the way Elvis treated them as fellow humans. Glad the racist remarks can be put to rest to those haters. Nice to hear she thought of Elvis as an angel. Very respectful lady.
@Eye. stupid Benny Spy I knew about Myrna Smith, but Jerry Schilling ended up marrying her. Elvis was Elvis and he loved women! Mary Tyler said Elvis wanted to be with her, so who knows what went on? His voice is just amazing and his charisma the sexiest.
@Eye. stupid Benny Spy Yes, I know who she is. I think she brought her famous gospel singer relation to the set when they made that movie.....if my memory serves me correctly.
@Eye. stupid Benny Spy Wasn't sure of the year dates, but I remembered Jerry married Mryna. She died from cancer I think but she was divorced from Jerry before that. Sweets were fantastic singers. Elvis sure liked the best performers and musicians in his back up group.
@@michaelgaynor6866 Ha Ha ! Thanks, but I have been life long fan of Elvis and lived through much of the publicized info. My memory isn't as good anymore to remember things as well. Just know I always admired Elvis, and would have loved to meet him.
I'm 54 and I've been an Elvis fan for 50 years. When I was 4 and old enough to run the stereo I put on a record that had no cover. It was Elvis and it was the music no image, nothing but the music, my Uncle had forgotten it at my parents and I discovered it. My Baby left me, Old Shep, Anyplace is Paradise, So glad you're mine. I'm still listening. What a dude!!!
My friend's mother gave a record player one of the old types looked like a suit case. It had one record in it....little sister by Elvis Presley. I've been singing his songs for thirty nine years now, he died too soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm 55. I must have been in 1st or 2nd grade when I first heard Elvis. I was watching TV one night, and a commercial came on for one of those K-Tel compilation albums they sold by mail. And the commercial started with the opening lines of "Hound Dog". And I remember this so well --- I sat up straight like a jack knife, my eyes went wide with amazement, and I turned to my mother and said in astonishment, "Who is THAT?!" And that was it. I was going into 5th grade the summer he died. Our phone started ringing off the hook when all my friends started calling to tell me he had died. That night I went to a Red Sox game, and I kept the ticket stub and wrote "Elvis Died" on it. I still have the stub. When I was in my early 20s my Dad and I made a road trip from Massachusetts to Graceland. I remember we were doing the tour, and we were in a long, tight, packed line of people snaking out past his grave, and when I finally got to his grave I had the sense that something was going on --- something was happening --- but I didn't know what it was. I just had this feeling like a movie star had arrived or something. It was as though there was some new presence that had entered the grave area and there was commotion in the crowd. Then it gradually dawned on me that this event that was happening was that my chest was heaving and I was sobbing. It was as though my body reacted on its own without the knowledge of my conscious mind. It was crazy. Then, one summer when my son was 9 I gave him several options for taking a trip together. I forget what the other two were, but he wanted to go to Graceland. While we were there he said he felt at home there, and felt like he had been there before. R.I.P.
@@SeamHead33 Of course he's a white man, numbnuts. James Brown referred to Elvis as his "soul brother" he's not saying he's black. He called him that because he had a lot of soul. Referring to someone as black isn't always a physical representation.
