I wouldn't just give a look, I'd say: "You don't have my permission to f***ing film me" Or if in a bad mood: "You don't have my permission to f***ing film me and you can stick up that camera up your f***ing a** as part of your routine here" . Find your balls guys. Say something if you're in the right. You're dealing with big babies that have to be taught manners because they've been constantly spoiled and not corrected.
Sexuality and wearing skimpy outfits is empowering until I don't like it, then it's everyone else's fault she of her own free will decided to wear that
Its funny (or sad really) how people that do this filming, fail to realize the irony in how it would look if a guy put up a camera and filmed women doing workouts in the exact same manner they do, the outcry at this creep would be insane... Its absurd.
Sadly, _Women ☕ doesn't know how_ to read the atmosphere because they're narcissistic ( at least the ones that kept on posting their L on the Twatter )
Because you can't get attention with a home gym, so they come here to do minimum effort "work-outs" that are the equivalent of pretending to be unconscious and very obviously peeking to see if others are paying attention to you.
Notice that he actually looked AWAY from her when she approached him. So he was a creep how? NOT looking at you when you're working out makes him a creep?
I've heard people suggest that looking away means you're trying to hide the fact that you're a creep. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, but damn people who act like that.
@@enthiegavoir5955 its a common behavior to suddenly look the other way when caught staring, but that was def an 'i dont want nothing to do with this person' kinda head turn.
Doesn't matter where he was looking. The fact that he existed there and then while she was recording is supposed to make him a creep in her eyes. Though had he just gotten up and left the frame I bet you anything she would've claimed he was being sexist and him walking away was him stating he doesn't want to work out near a woman.
Words don't mean anything to people who use the term "creep". It just means "socially opposed to this person, and seeking to ostracize them". That's why no one can agree on the definition, because it has no definition. 💁🏻♂️
This is what I like so much about Joey and Hero Hei. Joey is a huge voice of reason in the gym community, and Hei is a huge voice of reason in the anime community. It's an interesting sense of connection.
We need to make common sense analysis of situations normal. Too many people like to jump to conclusions over easily explainable things and way too many of them try to ruin people's lives over it
@@philosopherkingzant2037 Definitely. And for all I know, people like Joey and Hei are bridging that gap. It just piques my interest because they're two very different things, is all :)
We are always more conscious of behaviours in other people that we exhibit ourselves. The reason she's so worried about other people looking at her is because she does it herself. On another note I would honestly want to impose a no cameras policy in all gyms to prevent this from happening
Here's a compromise to no cameras at all. How about rooms, with walls that can't be seen through, where those that want to film their progress and work outs can do so but no one else outside of requested trainers can join them, and the request for a trainer must be signed for on site where security cameras can regard the person signing the forms? This way those that do just want to record themselves like Hero Hei did can do so without bothering anyone and these attention seekers won't be able to paint some random person something they aren't just for clout. This way everyone but the attention seekers win.
Anyone else think he spotted the camera, was staring at it, and when she walked into frame he looked away and shook his head cos he thought "Oh, she's doing this gym creep shit, isn't she? Bloody pathetic."? Cos that's how I read his behaviour.
Yeah I thought he was looking into the camera with a questioning look at first so maybe he did know what was going on and resigned himself to put up with her BS.
I like that Joey is calling this out. I wouldn't want to be filmed in the gym because I worry these women would film me and make me look like a creep(when I'm not trying to be).
This is why I don’t like working out next to someone recording. My local gym use to have signs saying “absolutely no recording allowed”, which genuinely made me happy to go. The day they took these signs down, the gym was flooded with people recording. I was so uncomfortable that I couldn’t focus, so I left. As I left I spoke to the front desk worker. I told him “I’m not expecting you to do anything about this, and I know you don’t have any control over it, I just want to voice my opinion. There are way too many cameras and phones recording everything that I don’t feel comfortable working out here anymore.” He was surprised, because he thought they still had the policy of no recording, and apologized this was happening. I thanked him for his apology, and reiterated that I knew it wasn’t him, I just wanted to voice my concern and that I’d be going to a different gym Next week I went back there, and the signs were put back up. This made me very happy
_sigh_ Why do so many people on Twitter and such give themselves the privilege to attack, harass and try to expose people who did nothing wrong? I wish there was a no-tolerance policy for that on every platform.
because coporates will just shell each other money to say a specific guy just clowning on a bad business decision has "attacked, harassed, and tried to expose them for doing nothing wrong"
Got done about an hour ago working out in my own home. Didn’t have to deal with this level of idiocy. If you can get a home gym or work out somewhere safe do so. Highly recommend it.
@@ComposedSage75 It’s things like this that make me feel thankful I’m not a man and don’t have to deal with that shit but at the same time there’s women behaving this way too. Just shameful…
at this point, if there's a video in a gym, it's a creep filming innocent people. the gyms should probably make a "do it once and you're done(for the day)" policy, where if you are actively caught recording other people inappropriately, you are asked to leave for the day. repeat offenders get banned. the unfortunate thing is that there aren't enough staff members to keep track of what's going on, and many of these creeps will only start filming if the victim isn't looking. if you go to the gym, watch each others back, maybe don't go alone, and report creeps immediately.
It's crazy that people actually think doing things like this makes them look "cool" or "better". I think it's one of the most pathetic and insecure things you can do.
At my gym in college, filming or taking pic at all would get you banned for life. One strike policy. Almost never happened because you could just send evidence from someones social media and they would find out and bam those people. Loved that gym.
Imagine; a "kids' show" like Mob Psycho promotes body and health positivity so much better than any of these sick, twisted people who chase trouble and clout. Seriously, the body builders were so wholesome!
I remember when I asked my dad if I could go to the gym, he said I could go and then he said this "don't go to the gym because of this social media stuff, go to the gym to improve. great people always improve themselves whether or not people are watching"
If this was a dude doing this to a woman there'd be an uproar and he'd get banned. Cameras in gyms should be banned, and it can be done because they are private property. If you want to film yourself, do it in a private gym, like your home.
Another solid short segment. Glad people are calling others out on this bs. Including her own comments. Hope yall have a nice day and remember to be aware of your surroundings and others (Late heart pls Hei? Also lets see that deadlift 💪)
This is why filming in gyms should be banned. If you want to show your progress, and you want to post it, you have mirrors at home. Anythung else is just nastly cloud chasing. Usually its women doing that too. Saying "ohhh he was staring at me" yeah girl, maybe becuase the camera was pointed right at him. This is why actual harrassment victims get discredited. Because of ppl like that
this issue though is that you shouldn't have to. What SHOULD be happening is more gyms having strict rules about filming or just outright banning. I say "strict rules" because there are normal people out there who do just try to record themselves to get an idea on if they are using correct form and a spot in front of a mirror may not always be available. It'd suck if they also got their permission to record revoked because of these clowns
no one wants to be on camera when were not at our best, that girl should think about others before herself, and I experienced it before hand since I have a lot of social anxiety it really messed me up when they kept doing it on purpose.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT??? people at the gym don't like it when other people film them because there's already a lot of self confidence involved in going to the gym in the first place and they don't want the added pressure of being on someone's video being made fun of by thousands/millions.
@@ch1ppy755 Damn. That sucks. Usually there's a section with all the machines, then there's a separate section on the side where all the weights are. You rarely see women go to the weight section/room. Need to find a new gym. Or else it may be *YOU* as the next victim of these gym thots. 😄
1:45 This is actually a massive point, unless you are Eddie Hall or Brian Shaw and shifting absolute weight, then don't be filming your basic ass workouts with people in the background who are probably already nervous enough going to the gym without being on camera. Honestly it must be their worst nightmare come true when they finally go to the fucking gym only to be posted online for looking at someone and made out to be Jeffrey fucking Dahmer or something.
At this point, there will come a time where there will be a frustrated gym member will grab the creep's camera and destroy it by smashing it or toss it out the window.
Yeah. I'll be that person. I'm a disabled man trying to take care of myself (wheelchair bound), and the moment I see it happening to me, I will destroy it. Already have to live with the stigma of being a man and in a wheelchair, I don't need any more harassment than I get as it is.
Sad that in todays society, we have people like her that have nothing better to do than try to get attention on an app that is being used by millions, by playing the victim. When in reality, its the guy she tried to set up, who is the victim. Its clear that she placed that camera directly on him, just to try and make it look like he was watching her. He was disgusted.
I’m am old woman and am not into fitness, and had never heard of Joey Swoll. He is absolutely terrific! When I was working out in a gym years ago, I was delighted when men - who obviously knew their way around the equipment - would offer to help me when I was obviously struggling! (And, BTW, I was living in the Middle East at the time!) In particular, Mr. Swoll’s reasoning for why the guy looked at her “… and you’re talking to yourself!” was hilarious and oh so valid!!!
I saw a video once where a woman was like "hey, this angle is gonna be on camera, is that okay with you?" and had such sweet, wholesome interactions. But yeah, I'm gonna get a bunch of shirts in different sizes, colors and cuts that just says "I do not consent to being filmed" on the front and back, and wear those to the gym.
I would also like to point out, if your trying to frame people as Creeps just because they glanced at you then you are at the wrong Whats also worse is alot of women tend to wear Revealing clothes, and when you do this “In Front” of someone else they will Glance at you, and to think that this is not hard to do it is not. If you wanna try and test this try going out full butt naked and lets see if no one glances at your direction, its IMPOSSIBLE. Its not being a creep its just natural and it tends to happen whether you intend to do it or not
Gyms are supposed to be a place where people go to better themselves not get ridiculed by narcissistic clout chasers online. I hope they start making policies against this kind of stuff because it’s getting out of hand.
What it looks like, the guy stares at her phone until she gets to work out. He knew full well that she was trying to frame him, which is why he dead stares her camera.
She didn't have a single weight on that machine, wtf is she filming for? Edit - hero. Mentioned filming to see technique, you could make that argument... But then you wouldn't have any reason to post it online
lets see that deadlift >:D I wanna get into lifting in general but it's p scary so it's always nice to see someone else doing it when they've just started out
At this point, gym thots have to realize that if they post something like this, Joey is gonna catch wind of it, make a video on it, and ruin their OF aspirations. More often than not, they end up closing their IG accounts.
If she didn't like any man stare at her then why she even there in gym in 1st place? Her: "Omg, that man is such a creep" Me: "Isn't filming define as creep, wtf?"
My local gym banned filming about a year ago because some b1tch filmed an elderly man exercising with poor form and the man ended up in the toks for the world to see and be made fun of. Eventually the gym owners caught wind and banned filming because it was scaring normal people away and it was just bad business to let the content farmers come back
A quick tip for Lifting. That looks like a Sumo Squat and isnt recommended due to that Lift allows you to lift more weight, and could lead to overcompidence in other lifts like the Dead Lift. Many people think if they can lift say 300lb in a Sumo, they can lift it with a Dead Lift, and their Form suffers for it, and they get injured. Also the grip you have may make it easier to hold the weight, but can lead to a ripped Bicep. So I recommend the normal grip of Over Hand. Your grip will get stronger over time and its better to just increase the Reps first, THEN increase the Weight. A good range is 20 Reps max per Set before you move up the weight by 5-10lbs depending on the workout.
That camera tilt was her trying to thinly disguise the fact that she belongs to the 'iddy-biddy tiddy commitee'. So I'm even more surprised that she didn't have it centered on that 'ba donk-a-donk'.
Doesn't want to be creeped on Film themselves in an angle for online creeps Refuses to do this activity in their own home She's the victim guys, trust me! She just wants to work out! Totally! Yeah!
Every guy that has a gym membership needs to go to the owners and tell them they'll leave unless filming is banned. Not only are they baiting these reactions purposely for internet clout this could really be humiliating for people just trying to get in shape.
This is why some people like me are worried about going to the gym, as a morbidly obese person I need to go to loose the weight, but past few times ive seen people setting up like it was photo shoots and ive seen the tik toks where they make fun of obese people struggling to do things properly... I do not want people to see me at the gym all over social media, i just want to go and my music on and try to manage my weight.
I used to go to gym and felt uncomfortable with people filming when I work out. It's not like they were filming me directly but I was one of a lot of people who were on those vids and no one even cared about if we're ok with that or not. I stopped going to gym way before I found Joey and even worse stuff people do there, but at this point I don't even want to go there. Now I workout at home and do jogging outdoors. I feel like running outside I have more privacy than at gym.
I was once thinking about going to the gym, I’ll be honest, I’m a skinny white guy, so the fact people are so nosy and always sticking up cameras is a nightmare to me cus I don’t want to be shamed just cus I’m trying to better myself and improve my body. It sucks.
Buy some of your own weights get build some muscle then go in. Or just say screw it and go in anyway. Everyone has to start some where screw these people
It's already bad enough, in my opinion, that so many people use the gym for social interaction and now so many people just go to the gym for their social media pages. When I'm in the gym it's just to better myself in strength and health and I find it pretty disrespectful to what gyms stand for when people violate that previous sanctity that gyms had
