From Feb 20, 2008: The battle of all battles - ROUSH's supercharged 'stang dukes it out against Saleen's counterpart. This is the end-all, be-all battle to see who is truly the king of pony cars!
Dude. I specifically remembered this specific video when I watched it around 2013 as a 13 year old. I was fascinated with Roush Mustangs and I remembered the ending. I know which one I'd take home. This was inSANE nostalgia
It’s from experience and I guess I could be called a mechanical engineer I build enough stuff. They are both great but service life and usage is what I go off. You’re what we like to call a troll. The saleen is though a larger 2.3 screw blower vs an older tried and true Eaton m90 which is small in my option on the supercharger size. But we are talking a smaller displacement v8.
This is not exactly a fair comparison. The Roush looks like a stock Mustang with a few boy racer parts bolted on, which it is. The Saleen Mustang is completely re-manufactured, with an entirely different body kit, and it looks nothing like a stock Mustang. You get an entirely different new car, engineered, crash tested and certified as a Saleen. the Roush is a Ford Mustang with bolt on parts. The Roush is lighter and cheaper. You get what you pay for. The Saleen is heavier and costs more, but you get way more for your money. This is reminiscent of the old 5.0 shootouts, GT (Saleen) vs. LX (Roush). Both are great cars, just depends on what you want. .
None of this is true lol. The roush is definitely more basic in appearance but it’s definitely more aimed at track use, saleen is more exotic, but besides the body kit they both are bolt on cars. And lastly, they are both titled as a GT, there is nothing different about the chassis in terms of safety etc. shelbies are the only special edition mustangs titled as a shelby GT350/500 and not a GT.
@@fatdan172501 Everything that is posted is 100% accurate. Saleen is a manufacturer. They change so much of the original car, that it has to pass Federal crash tests, as a different car. The car is registered and titled as a Saleen, not a Ford. The Roush is a Mustang GT with bolt on parts. It is still registered as a Ford Mustang and Roush isn't bound by any laws as a manufacturer. Saleen is such a highly regarded vehicle manufacturer that Ford actually had them build the 1st generation Ford GT's. The Roush product isn't even close.
@@Metalcop5150 no it’s not, it’s literally a body kit, custom interior and bolt on suspension mods lol. 100% quality work, but you are full of it. Red tape doesn’t mean they are special, and they are titled as mustang GTs not saleens.
@@fatdan172501 I have actually owned several Saleens (and currently own) and I am 100% correct, as previously stated, they are registered and titled as a Saleen. You literally don't have a clue what you are talking about. Everything I stated is fact. Sorry if that doesn't fit with your biased opinions. Be well.
