The Tres Generaciones (Cenobio batch) is pretty good. Albeit it may be Cascahuin in disguise but still good.

I wouldn't buy anything Tres Generaciones just because Sauza owns them and they own a diffuser. Same with Cuervo.

All that tequila and hardly any mezcal? Ooof! I just got the LAST bottle of Bozal Sacrificio Borrego in my town, which I enjoyed a lot last year. They are also nearly out of the Bozal Coyote and I won't be able to pass that up either. A special surprise was a new mezcal brand on the shelf - Real Minero. It was the Largo which came with an eye-popping $186 price tag.

Real minero makes some good mezcal but because it's small batch (they use clay pots for distilling) it's very expensive but well worth it. It's excellent.

Don Julio (4:03) & (8:34), you say "diffused stuff now no longer any good". Why does Tequila Matchmaker show Don Julio as "Cooking: Stone/brick ovens"??? Who is right and who is wrong?

They are buying diffused juice from other distilleries to add to theirs which is allowed. They don't have a diffuser but it doesn't mean they aren't buying diffused juice! Additionally, diffusers aren't used for cooking but for extraction..

Diffused means a great big machine called a diffuser is used to make the tequila which always turns out awful. ADDITIVE BOMB is a tequila that is low quality but they use added flavorings and sweeteners to make it taste good and charge you more for it.
