I just take it whenever it's convenient, so basically 30-60m before or after a workout. Works alright. Y'all just try and be healthy and love yourselves guys. That's all that really matters.
Yea, i think ppl should try and take protein in different times, and see how it works better for themselves. Not everybody is the same. That is why i think ppl should try different options to see how it works better for them rather than seeing how other ppl take it and copy them.
I'm back working out I'm 67 years old I work out for 40 Years now I listen to alot about this about that take this much messing my head up I'm just going back to Protein Powder and wacth what eat and drink alot of water keeping it simple
@@skesku Wrong we are not different. A protein synthesis window is every 4h aka 5x per day. So if you take it before 4h after exercise then you are good. If you miss that window then and only then are gains left to the table.
Im mixing my protein with greek yogurt post workout as a little treat for going through the excersize. Makes me feel good, and chocolate flavored protein goes down smooth.
I have school for 6-7 hours so i think first thing in the morning i will take a half scoop of whey and half scoop of casein right after a workout then a half scoop of whey right after school then another half scoop of casein a couple hour before bed
You don’t need more than 1.6g protein per kg. Taking 3 scoops per day will not do anything for your muscles. Unless you stop eating actual meals, you need protein 3-5x per day. Gl finding a study proving my wrong.
I never drink my protein drink before working out ever. I will eat a small breakfast then around lunch I will have a pre boost workout drink that has no protein Then about 45 minutes after working out I will drink my protein drink. Then just right before bed I will do planks and a little workout then a protein drink 30 minutes after and right before bed because a protein drink before bed will help you sleep and build muscle faster when you sleep. I get better muscle gains when I drink my protein after working out. I eat about 80 to 100 mg of protein a day.
What about twice like a scoop before and another scoop after workout. It’s safe to take about 50g of whey isolate twice in a day, Go ahead and take it guys… add it in your smoothie or whatever after workout.
@@abdallahfathi3747 just like BCAA, its best time to take the Whey just half an hour before the gym.. it's not ideal to take soon after exercise or sleep because our glycogen level can use it to produce glucose.. so use that wisely just before gym or recovery after a little meal

Sucralose will not cause weight gain unless you are in a surplus of calories. Fake sugar does not cause cancer unless you drink 150+ liter of soda every day for a year.

@@HarryG98 I know. I'm a registered dietitian that has prescribed high protein supplements many times to inpatients, particularly elderly patients, who of course are NOT exercising. I just wanted an explanation from her....
