This is the third time I’ve tried to write this comment only to have it erased by an errant tap, but I’m determined! I’m 72 and look like a train wreck on paper but I don’t feel that way and my biggest goal and passion is to strengthen and redefine my body! I refuse to believe it’s ever too late and you have been my inspiration angel. Your videos are a treat, and those arms!!!! Girl, I am so proud of you. I only hope I can summon up the same grit and dedication. I LOVE that you are doing these at home as I ( and probably many others) don’t belong to a gym, I don’t WANT to go to a gym, and hopefully I’ll be able to achieve muscles here. All your equipment details are a Godsend. I’m so happy to look forward to this series et al-THANK YOU for taking the time and doing the hard hard work it takes to produce these. And ALL your content! ❤️❤️❤️
If you'd like some additional inspiration check out Train With Joan. She's also in her 70s and has completely changed her body in 5 years using weight training. Love these inspirational ladies! ❤
Can we also get an updated “what I eat in a day”? I’m really struggling getting enough protein. I’m very particular about meat, it’s a texture thing for me.
Amazing!,, please more more workout videos. Thanks so much for taking the time to help your fellow aging women that want to be strong!, you look amazing!,
I love this I will be 70 in three weeks I’ve been lifting weights for about 18 months ladies this is so important I was in Costco yesterday and picked up a 48 bottle pack of water off the floor into my cart and into my car this is INDEPENDENCE for us…..thank you Tammy
This is fabulous Miss Tammy! I’m making a Tammy’s Workout playlist. Can’t wait for the rest of the videos. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and taking the time to explain everything you’re doing.
Hi Tammy, First of all, you look strong and healthy and your arms look great. What many people may not realize is that the leaner you are the more your muscle tone will be revealed (think of body builders that aim for extremely low body fat composition, especially before a competition). If you were to wear a sweater (fat) you would not be able to see your muscle tone. This is quite the workout targeting just one muscle group, although, as you pointed out, many secondary muscles are being affected as well. Although I am not a certified trainer or a medical professional, I feel compelled to comment that DROOPING your wrists while doing a side lateral delt raise is incorrect. I have had personal training and my DIL is a physical therapist and they all stress to keep your wrist in a NEUTRAL position. Don't just take my word for it, please do more research on this specific technique and update your many devoted followers in order to avoid injury. Keeping it kind. 🙂
@cindy.in.so-cal I agree about the neutral wrist position. That's just basic guidance for proper dumbbell & KB grip. However...your comment may go unacknowledged on this channel. (Jmo based on my experiences w/comments here - unless the comment is flattering or in agreement.) Neutral wrists are especially important in the case of chronic tendonitis - or even tendonosis....which is a different condition, from tendonitis. - but both conditions could be aggravated by an improper wrist position.
This is so not true...about flattering. comments...but go ahead and believe what you must........ I have worked with trained physical therapist in regard to my tendonitis...I have not had one flare up since learning tips from them...I think I make it clear that one must go at their own pace...Perhaps I have never answered your questions ....were they a personal attack..perhaps a negative undertone...It's true, I don't waste my time on those...and it would be impossible for me to answer ALL...If you suffer from tendonitis another tip I learned from a trained professional is to loosen up on the grip...this will cause flare ups as well....thank you!
Thanks for your suggestions....In my case I have worked with trained physical therapist to help prevent injury...so far their tips have worked for me....form is important, and as I mention...mine may not be perfect ...but it has worked for me and my ailments...I do appreciate your comment...Thank you. I also agree, if our diets don't support what we are trying to do...muscle will not present itself even though it is there...in my case, I was cardio cardio cardio for years...always using the same light weights...no muscle definition anywhere on my body...now I can say my muscle growth has been amazing ...and not just for appearance...my bone density results are in...AMAZING!!!
@TammysAgelessBeauty You may not recall, but you and I did have a few go-arounds - which did not end up at as 'positive' - during your w/l journey. - which you had decided to refer to as 'fatloss ." I was trying to bring to your attn that it's basically a misnomer to refer to weightloss as 'fatloss' - and that there would also be some lean muscle tissue loss in the process, which is 'normal' and unavoidable (even with a continued weight lifting protocol. ) I was simply being factual in my comments. I can objectively say that my comments certainly did not have a negative or 'attacking' bent to them. I also quoted some factual scientific data re weightloss vs. fatloss vs. lean tissue involvement in a weightloss journey. And...you were having none of it! And told me so in no uncertain terms! IMO, it seemed (to me) that my initial comment on this subject set you on the defensive, somehow. I was not implying that 'you are wrong'- but it did seem to me that you inferred my comments in that way. Further attempts to reason or debate the issue with you - with the use of factual data - and your comments quickly devolved into blatant sarcasm. I've also commented here about your wonderful make-up & skincare tips - and got a ❤ reply from you. So... just to LYK, these were the experiences I was referring to in my comment. As for your answer about wrist position - yes, loosening the grip may be helpful in certain circumstances - but a loose grip can be done without holding the weight at an angle rather than a neutral grip...and neutral is always optimal. E.g. - a looser grip can also be 'neutral'.
Hi Tammy, love this! Thank you for taking the time to record this. Look forward to more! Your form was spot on. Would luv an updated macro video. I have the workouts down, just still struggle to under the macros. 😘
Best series ever 👍👍I am SO impressed by this workout, your arms are beautiful, strong & toned. How about a new series “ Workout with Tammy” You have done a total transformation on your entire body, your entire lifestyle 👍thanks for taking us all with you🙏💪👍🥰
Tammy, you are such an inspiration to me. I want to thank you for taking the time to do these workout videos, I know it’s a lot of work. I’m just about 60 and boy is my body changing, sagging arms and legs. I’m not over weight but really need to build some strength. My right Rhomboid muscle just kills me with activity and I’m sure it’s due to posture and a weak back. So with that said, I’m excited to see your back videos as well. Thanks again, you look gorgeous!
I use the Gold Bond Age Renew Retinol Overnight Body and Face Lotion. It’s make the creepiness a little better, use on my arms and thighs. I think it is difficult to make it completely better.
Thank you Tammy. I'm 72 and work out 2 days pilates 1 day yoga. I am going to start your program! I would like to know what you are eating to clean up your diet. Thank you again and again 😊
Tammy, you are such an inspiration ❤ TY for sharing your methods and for demonstrating. I follow a personal trainer. She is awesome, but I don't do everything she does or lift the same amount of weight she lifts, or I could end up with injuries. I used to go to the gym for decades, but started lifting at home in 2014 and I am much stronger now and have more definition than 10 years ago. I love your channel. You are helping so many.
Thank you so much Tammy. I too have many tendon issues and have a few light weights I’ve purchased. I appreciate you giving us your routine with weights and bands. I hope you do more, would love to see a tummy workout.
Wow! You are truly an inspiration Tammy. I started my workouts again for the hundredth time after watching you and how you transformed your body. I started with 2 to 3 lbs and am now up to using 5, 10 and 12 lbs. I get so empowered when I realize I can go up in the weights. Right now I only work out at home so I will be buying the bands you showed, I look forward to adding them my routine. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. It has given me many more moves to add to my routine!!!
Great video Tammy! You look absolutely amazing! I’m going to start doing these exercises every week. I would love to know more about your macros and what you eat. I think you’ve done videos on what you eat before but specific macros would be helpful. Thank you so much for all you do! ❤️❤️
OMG. So glad I found this video. I've been watching so many of your videos. I never know what's going to pop up in my feed. I love this!!! I so need to start working out. I heard that sitting is the new smoking. And I do a lot of sitting lately. Gotta get off my butt!! THANK YOU
Tammy, thank you so much for sharing your work routine with us.. I’m looking forward to the next one.. I truly appreciate it. P.S love the long videos.😁
Thank you for this! I’ve quit the gym and working out at home now and these are so good!! I’m almost 69 and I know if I stop working out I’m doomed!! I look forward to more videos like these! By the way you are looking fabulous, your hard work is showing!❤❤
Thank you Tammy...so many peeps say you need to let your muscles recover..are you breaking up your off days are going 5 days 2 off? Do you have a favorite bodyy wash, scrub, cream etc for crepy skin? Your arms look fantastic❤
One thing to note, when you start, you’ll find out very quick that one side of your body is stronger than the other. All the more reason to use free weights.
Thank you, Tammy! This video was perfect! I'm definitely following along. Would love to see, leg, core, glute sets. Whatever you want to give us. I'm here for it!
Love this! More like these please. You look fabulous and inspiring ❤! Would love videos on your diet and how you stay so lean . Can’t seem ti rid my little stomach pouch.
I am so excited for this series. I have recently changed my diet completely and I am just starting to work out. I’m 53 and I have never worked out so I have been trying to follow along with some other women on RU-vid. I will be watching the series faithfully!! you look fantastic!!!
Thank you Tammy!! You're wonderful and inspiring. Great arms workout, this will be my go to for summer arms, its winter here so in 3 months time I can wear short sleeves. God bless x Cape Town, South Africa
Love this, Tammy! Have you ever tried the drawing a sword exercise with a band. I don't know if you like to try new things in your routine but it's a fav of mine I thought you might enjoy ❤
Thank you for this video. I love learning new exercises. I am starting to add weight training to my workout routine. Your encouragement is awesome! You put a lot of emphasis on safety, good form, and working at your own pace.
Thank you for filming this even though it's probably outside of your comfort zone! You look and sound fantastic Appreciate all your efforts, time, links, tips and tricks. These videos are priceless. Keep us going Tammy! All the best always, xo
Great video! I can’t get over how lean and muscled you are! I also can’t believe with your ailments you can actually do all of these exercises! Kudos to you! ❤
Wow I just tried this workout I’m 57 and you kicked my butt .. I couldn’t keep up with your weights/ reps and I thought I was in shape…. You Go Girl!!!! Hello Tammy. Thank you❤I loved this and youve inspired me, im doing gym x2 weekly ill up it to five and walk everyday " youre arms are 👌🏋️♀️looking steing and feminine. Well done!!!
Thank you so much for doing this for us Tammy! I know someone else on here asked about crepey loose skin. This is my struggle. I know you've talked about it before too. I'm hoping the more I work out that it will get better. When l was in my late 30s my arms were buff. Good ol days lol. I will repeat myself here ...your arms look soo good!!❤
Love that you are showing how you work out. You look amazing and you are proof that you get results if you put in the work. So many people will be helped by these videos. Love you Tammy!
AMAZING!! You are like a personal trainer. I am 57 years old. I have lost 40 pounds in the last year (menopause was not my friend-despite my vow that it would not get me). I am almost back to my “perfect” weight and feeling so much better. I have been watching you along your journey and allI can say is thank you and WOW! Your arms and shoulders are what I hope to have-but I’ve got to commit to the work. Mine are not completely shot-I will still wear sleeveless, but I know that strength is everything at my age and I can’t keep putting it off. I have always worked out, but have really slacked off in the past few years. You are my inspiration to stop putting it off-I’ve lost the weight… now it’s time to hit the weights again. 💕🇨🇱💕
Thank you for taking the time to make this video! I appreciate you showing the equipment you use at home, demonstrations, and verbal instructions. I learned that the incline is important for some of the exercises to prevent injury. I was doing the exercise without an incline, which may be why my shoulder hurts a little. I'm going to start light and focus on form, then move up. You are positive motivator, and I love how you encourage this community. Keep up the videos!! I'm looking forward to the biceps/triceps, core, inner thigh. On the whole, do you do one muscle group a week or twice a week? You are doing a valuable service for us-thank you for your encouragement and taking the time to make these videos.
Tammy these workouts are amazing. Going to start tomorrow like you said do this workout Monday & Thursfsy. Thank you for taking the time. We really appreciate you. I hope you figured out your sourdough. I baked a sourdough sandwich loaf that was so easy and made a pillowy delicious tangy soft bread for sandwiches. I can’t get the boule right but I got a good sandwich loaf. ❤❤
Oh Tammy can’t wait to try these! Need good cream recommendation I can use for smooth arms too…nothing overpriced please….love how u keep ur videos relatable to everybody
Tammy this was awesome!! I can't wait to perform some your great suggestions. I love how your tier down the weight to help fatigue them. Also, the instruction on the band was awesome. I want to use more bands and just didn't know how. Thanks a ton!! XOXO
Oh my goodness thank u so much for this series! U do such a great job explaining everything and I feel very informed. I can not begin to tell u how excited I am to start these workouts! Thank u so much! ❤❤❤
Thank you Tammy for this AMAZING video! Thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to the whole series 🙏. My gosh, I did not know one could do so many exercises just for the shoulders. Thank you for listening to your viewers and taking the time to record this.
This is great! Your tips are awesome! I use weights on my arms, now I am convinced I need bands and want to order some, where did you get yours? Thanks Tammy
