Silvervale And Vei Leave VShojo! 

Update: Only a few minutes before this went live, Vei tweeted that she made this decision largely because the new set of contracts did not make financial sense to her. Enjoy the video!

Bit of clarification to those who don't know. Most of Vshojo were indie Vtubers before Vshojo, including Silver and Vei. The reason Silver and Vei get to keep their models and stuff like that is because Vshojo didn't create them.

Fun Fact: The only VTuber model that VShojo owns is Nazuna Amemiya.

The one thing I've noticed about Vshojo is that none of the members really talk to each other, Mouse is usually with Conner and sometimes Nyanners and Athel, Melody is with Fillian, Onigiri, or someone else, and Kson has her friend group the only two that regularly talk to each other are Zen and Haruka and they did that before Haruka got accepted into Vshojo.

To be honest I always saw Vshojo as a legal help only, the girls made the deals, the merch work and the model ideas as Zentreya's patreon shows, I personally believe people are just realizing being indie can also bring you success and Corporate isn't that necessary, good for our Sakura Fox looking forward to her shenanigans.

A friend is someone you consider your friend, no matter how long you haven't talked or how far they are. A coworker is someone who works with you. They don't have to be your friends, and there's nothing wrong with that. *And MOST CERTAINLY, a coworker not being a friend doesn't mean you have beef with them.* I imagine most people can relate to having people in your workplace that are just nice coworkers to you.

My theory is that: During and after the Hogwarts Legacy drama, Silver seeing that she didn't receive support publicly by Vshojo and the other members, she felt a little distant, and saw that Vshojo is no longer a friends driven project, and now is a company which every member has their own path, thus distancing from one to another. For example, now Mousey collabs more with Connor, Nyan, and Aethel. Mel is hanging out with Filian and Layla more, Zen collabs more with Geega and Haruka. (This is not bad at all, just pointing this out.) Which left to Silver feeling separated from the group and, she being a very emotion driven person (Again, this is not bad) and due to this feeling of separation, she decided to leave Vshojo as it didn't feel like a friends group anymore for her. And even though Vei said that she left for monetary purposes (which I don't think is a lie) ,I feel that Vei also left because of Silver being a old friend of her. But, this is just a theory (A VSHOJO THEORY!!!), and is pure speculation based on the current information, so it may not be true at all, as I'm not in Silver's head to know any of this stuff, so I'm down to discuss it or being proven wrong

The comment from Silver about Ironmouse was kind of heartbreaking. For context, the two of them actually were really good friends before Vshojo, they had a podcast together with Melody that they (tried) to do every couple of weeks. I think the reason it took Silver so long to respond is because her feelings on the issue are probably very mixed, because the two have a lot of history together but its clear that recent times have been tough on their relationship. I'd be willing to bet it probably has a lot to do with ironmouse's spike in popularity. Being more popular in the content creation sphere unfortunately means less time to do things like hanging out with all of your friends.

Besides being a group name, I'm having a hard time seeing how vshojo has helped their talents. Overall the company has just been magnet for drama.

I have to ask how much evidence is needed before people just accept they're looking for reasons to call you names? and how much of this sort of behaviour is needed before people start realising it's a problem that just needs to be seen as endemic to the group in question?

Good thing is that they'll be independent but god the backlash after the announcement is insane

I think in the end it comes down to Mousey and Kson for each of the branches. If either leaves, it's game over for VShojo. As for Silver and Vei, I genuinely wish the best for them.

Man.. 2023 has just been a sad year in general for v-tubers. While I'm happy that Vei & Silvervale will continue on, the same can not be said for other vtubers.

Tl;dr at the bottom Of all the Vshojo members (besides Vei, who was in Silver's chat the whole time), only Nyanners and Zentreya showed up in chat offering support (however, Silver only acknowledged Zen. Whether that was on purpose or not is not known). When asked about Kson, Silver didn't hesitate like she did when asked about Ironmouse and had nothing but positive things to say. Obviously at that time (Midnight EST) a few other members were asleep and could not show up in her chat. Also, a couple mentions of Haruka by name in the chat were immediately deleted. So there's that Tl;dr From what I saw last night (and if I were a gambler), there are only 2 current Vshojo members that Silver has no problem with: Zentreya and Kson

Pipkin Pippa did more for Silvervale during the harassment than a lot of the other Vshojo members, I can se why she said that she would only stream with her real friends and not all of her old coworkers

It's bothersome that people assume that if two people aren't good friends, they must hate each other. Maybe Silvervale is sad that she thinks she lost friends, but it doesn't mean they all hate each other now.

Well as time passes, it’ll be pretty obvious if behind closed doors there was any bad blood because I can imagine once they get enough distance from the company they’d feel comfortable enough to spill any details.

A year before Vshojo, Silvervale and her future members had s new years party stream. The group was Melody, Iron Mouse, Nanyers, and Silvervale. They collaborated together and enjoyed each other's company. After the corporate move, friendship seems to have faded.

Not to jump into this on one side or another, but just to add a base level to the relationship angle.... Silver's & Iron's relationship goes all the way back to the days of the original 'Lewdcast'. They and Mel came together & made the Lewdcast. It was an instant hit from episode one!!! So, there was a good friendship. Which makes all of this now so sad & heartbreaking to those who remember how this all started. Just wanted to point this out. I hope things work out for everyone over time.... And that we may get a lil' rest from the negatives!! o7

There's nothing wrong with having nothing more than a professional relationship with your coworkers. Anyone expecting they all to be close friends are just projecting.

Regarding the fact that silvervale has a lack of relationship with the other members, makes me recall a certain video of noble (lost pause) where melody was the guest, in that video noble asks melody about Fruit, which she answered “ye-yea she's alright”, it makes believe that, there is no interest in getting along with the other members overall

8:05 Oh look it’s *that guy* again (since Rev censored his name I’ll not say it either). But honestly, and call me schizo for this, I think this is gonna be a sink or swim scenario for VShojo. Allegedly there’s a lot of stress going on internally, with Nyanners referencing it and Zentreya asking the hypothetical, “If I left VShojo, would you guys still be around?” last week, and now this. I hope this serves as a learning experience to back up your talents & to make sure to provide clarification to prevent shit like the Froot “throwing under the bus” thing.

After getting attacked and not getting support from the company I can't blame Silver really, as she can keep the assets like her model she can continue to grow on her own and isn't restricted by VShojo's rules, so it'll allow her to branch out with other content creators or play certain games.

This news really took us by surprise, it happened so suddenly. Now I can understand Veibae, considering her situation with Soda. But Silver is who really surprised me. Nonetheless I hope them the best for whatever they'll do in the future.

I knew when I saw this announcement earlier that the Twitter Loons would be coming out full force against Silver.

Silver was definitely one of the better members of vshojo and such a genuine person, so I'm so happy to see her leave that poor excuse of a company. Ever since the Nux drama Vshojo management (not the talents but the company) has been seen as a joke and not even defending Silver during the hogwarts drama was such a clown move. So much for Melody's "I support my group through and through, even if strong topics make me anxious 😭" tweet after the nux drama, guess hogwarts doesn't warrant support. Now as for Vei I don't feel one way or the other for her leaving or staying, she's always felt very vain and conceited since she insulted ShyLily and literally said she only came back to stream regularly again because she wanted to help pay for rent so I'm not surprised she left to make more money. As for the comment about Mousey I definitely have mixed feelings about that, I don't think Silver meant it as a diss but moreso just not what she'd expect out of a friendship. I myself can sometimes go weeks without messaging a friend back and have constant anxiety about whether or not they still consider me a friend. I don't think they're on bad terms at all, just Silver doesn't consider her a friend anymore.

Silver getting thrown to the T community terrorists by Froot, and VShojo not having her back was probably the final straw for her. Vei don't have a clue. Never really followed her.

What I'm interested in is whats going to happen to VS after? This is the first time talents are leaving the company after all. Not to mention it was two of its starting members(Granted theyve only had three new additions after their founding like 3 years ago almost.) that along with the language Silver used in her little Q&A it makes me wonder what else is going to happen.

The question isn't "why leave VShojo?" It's "Why not?"

Jeez, you could feel the tension in the air when Silvervale was trying to answer those questions. It just exudes "I have so much I can say, but what will get me in minimal hot water". She still said more than she needed when she said 7 months, instead of just saying something like a long while. I've softened up to Silver after the whole Hogwarts Legacy stuff so I hope she'll be fine. Vei, ehh, I never watched her, but I'm sure she'll be fine too.

I never had the impression that the VShojo talents were ever friends. VShojo was always a marketing strategy to maybe share some of their followers with each other, but never a group of like minded people wanting to work together. Sure they did a collab or two, but so do thousands of other indie RU-vidrs, virtual or otherwise, who aren't considered 'Friends." HoloLive is a different kind of things altogether. They were fans of each other, in their past lives. They had auditions to get a chance to work together, that was the whole point unlike VShojo. I think for the most part, Hololive are genuinely fond of each other. I do detect a couple of incompatibility issues, but won't mention who because it's NEVER been an issue, and just might be my imagination.

Looking at how people reacted, I suspect Silvervale couldn't tolerate the company getting political. Maybe Vei too, since she's, allegedly, from a country now labelled taboo.

So there is one thing I have to disagree in the VShojo's Official Statement section. It was important for them to say Vei and Silver kept their IP because of the issue with the dismissal of Phase Connect's Fuura Yuri earlier on in the week. A talent who had kept her IP when moving on from her former company to Phase Connect, but after Phase Connect terminated her due to contract breaches, shut down her IP. So while they may not have had the rights to begin with, it was the correct optic to say it in the light of that confusion.

Whatever the reason they left I wish them both the best of luck. P.S. I know about Vei's statement.

i have friends i haven't seen or talked to in years, i wouldn't dream of taking it personally. seems like such a weird and kinda shitty thing to say, phones etc work both ways, people get busy, life happens. i don't think she is obligated to say anyone is her friend if she doesn't feel that way, it just read as kinda needy and self-absorbed.

I hope both succeed in all their future endeavors as i can't wait to see what they do an celebrate with them.

After the Nux drama I can understand Vshojo's silence during the Hogwarts stuff.

The one thing that's clear to me with this announcement is how fragmented Vshojo is. I can always respect their business model and origin story, they're a solid company with not many scandals other than what they haven't done. But every Vshojo member could be indie and their streams/content wouldn't change. That shouldn't be the case, Vshojo itself should have some kind of identity present within the creators they host. Collabs or whole corpo events should be way, way more common.

On the ironmouse situation, I think its misguided atleast to be so vague and mysterious about her relationship with ironmouse, I only see it as more drama bait, if she isn't friends with her she should just say that and if she has genuine personal issues, stop being vague about them or don't say anything at all. Being vague like this is just a shield so you can stir up more drama by either having ironmouse defenders question you about your issues with her, or people on the other side of that start questioning ironmouse. It doesn't solve their personal issues, its not inciting anything healthy in their respective communities and its simply put, an immature move. If it is literally just down to lack of communication, she should just say they don't talk much anymore and she doesn't really consider her a friend, instead of being all cryptic. If it is deeper than that, then either say nothing about it, or air it out properly if you think it's actually important enough to talk about, otherwise yet again don't talk about it. I think the biggest issue with agency members is the idea that they need to be friends, when it's really a job, if you aren't friends don't pretend to be, and that's fine, but I also think agencies in general should be built from people who can fit together and be friendly, that's why big agencies are just silly to me when everyone tries to act friendly while having background issues, I'm happy they are going indie so they can atleast stop with that bull shit, its the best for them at the end of the day if they aren't happy with it. P.S. Obviously any hate about her and the hogwarts bullshit is stupid, and people shouldn't make claims about her based on her leaving, but this behaviour is a net negative and I've seen it enough times to know that it's usually on purpose, it's pointless drama bait and she should keep it to herself or air it out properly and coherently if she's going to air it out at all, if it's not serious enough to air out then keep it to your personal life.

This whole thing just makes me sad. I first learned about Silver and the other girls (except Nyan known about her since before she was a vtuber) before vshojo was a thing thanks to Melody and the lewdcast. I remember just how much fun these girls had together just hanging out and being silly degens, and then how excited everyone (the girls and fans alike) were when vshojo was announced. It was really cool seeing these girls who had become friends starting their own thing. I have noticed these past few months, or year idk im bad with time, that it seemed like the girls were drifting but I just chocked it up to more like they were too busy to stream together but surely they still chatted in discord or w/e. Knowing that wasn't the case, and finding out that the girls really have been drifting just sucks. I always hate seeing friends fall apart, especially because of ALLEGED or SPECULATED problems worse than just drifting. I also hate that I've gotten invested this much where this hits me as hard as it does, but it is what it is. I will say though, no matter what happens, it's because of these girls that I've met some of my best friends now and also had some great times during the past few years, which as we can all agree have been super shitty. And for that I'll always be thankful. I wish Silver and the rest of the girls the best moving forward, and yes I've heard the rumors about the inside drama. About the whole Nux thing (which ngl really pissed me off cuz mouse and mel made some bomb videos with him), and also about froot. However, i've only seen people say this or that is what happened, and no proof so until then I personally don't hold any ill-will towards any of the girls. Maybe we'll learn more in the future, but until then I'm just gonna send love and good vibes and hope peeps can be happy.

I have friends that I talk to every 6 to 7 months, but we don't live close to one another and don't "work" together either. But we would call eachother in a pickle/ when we have big news.

Yeah, I'm starting to think nobody in VShojo actually like each other. Silver and Vei leaving was a good choice imo.

Good for them I feel like more people are more happy with independent vtubers rather than company. Also lots of drama from companies so that hits hard with some tubers. So some want to leave but I’m thankful silver is still a vtuber as she is an inspiration to me.

I have multiple friends IRL whom I haven't spoken to in years, except for sending an SMS or social media message to wish them a happy birthday or merry Christmas or something. Doesn't change the fact that we were friends when we last spoke and nothing has happened to change that. As such, in my opinion, we're still friends and if they wanted to hang out or go watch a movie or sent me an invite for some party or something, I'd obviously go (provided it was possible, what with work, family and all of that). The passage of time and lack of contact isn't relevant to friendship, at least not to me.

This is my opinion. Since everybody in Vshojo now refuses to even talk to each other, maybe they should just disband. I'm not saying it to be mean. I just think they may be better off by themselves at this point. It's for the best. You wanna know why? Because when they started they were playing together like crazy. Now every single one of them is practically avoiding each other. Doing their own stuff alone or talking and playing with other Vtubers. In other words, this is why Vshojo should be done. Mousey, Nyanners, Silver, Vei, Melody, Froot, Zen, Hime, Kson, and Haruka all started alone and independent, and I believe they should go back to it. Better off best friends than co-workers. Compared to other organizations like Hololive and Nijisanji, Vshojo cannot do both. My reason, Hololive treats each other like family despite having managers, same for Nijisanji. Vshojo however does not. You know what they say "Never mix business with friendship" (unless it's Hololive, I'm saying in Vshojo's case)

Graduation doesn’t mean being fired. Usually when an idol wants to pursue a solo career or a more “mature” makeover, she will graduate, which just means she is moving onto the next stage of her career. It’s meant to say to the fans “hey, you might not like the new direction she is going to take, please give her a fond farewell.”

But with what seems to be so many people obtaining different narratives from any situation from V-tuber media, its nice to watch this channel to get a more grounded view of how things actually are. I think there may have been some sour feelings from silver for ironmouse. This is just speculation. But I can't help realize certain things that were said. When the whole hogwartz drama happened, I'm pretty sure I saw a clip where people were going into ironmouses chat telling her to talk to silver. She said she was in the middle of a stream, and the vshojo girls talk all the time when not streaming, and she would talk to her at a later time. As we know from Silvers stream, she said if people say they talk all the time, they usually don't talk to each other. Also, she said ironmouse hadn't talked to her in 7 months. If my math is correct, the hogwartz drama happened 2 months ago. So that may mean ironmose didn't even talk to her during the drama. Again, this is just speculation, and I love both silver and mouse and will continue to watch them both even if there are hurt feelings between them. They are both wonderful streamers, and I wish them all the best in everything they do.😊

There is very little Silvervale could say that would make me dislike some of the other talents at V-shojo. BUT, if it turns out that they were privately in opposition of her doing the Hogwarts streams then that would certainly be enough. At first I couldn't think of any good reason she would be upset, and if it is just a lack of communication then that's nothing to start drama over, but if she was getting pushback from within the agency, and she can prove it, that is definitely a good thing to bring up.

If there's one thing I've noticed of Mouse is that she's usually fairly professional and diplomatic when addressing certain things, which can come off as vague and even "corporate" at times. I want to give Mouse the benefit of the doubt that there's nothing to it other then in the end that they were simply not that close.

So basically, Vshojo is an agency created by a couple of absolute one-trick-ponies, they do jack for their talents if they come under fire and now said talents take the nice boost they got with Vshojo and leave just like that. I would say, these talents, which are themselfs mostly just one-trick-ponies, and the trashcan that vshojo is, fit together pretty good. Also disclaimer: I am sorry, if you are a fan of vshojo or their talents, I just wont discuss what I said above.

I'm a bit mixed about the mousy thing. I have a friend with a nerve disease and it makes it hard for her to really keep in contact sometimes since its physically and mentally draining for her to be around people. We rarely talk but when we meat up its usually a grand old time. Its just a matter of how much patience you'd be willing to put to keep that friendship going. So hearing Silver say that about mouse, I assumed maybe she expected more out of it but wasn't exactly what she expected? or maybe she just didn't have the patience to wait around for mouse to form any sort of connection? Idk man ... the way she said it is a bit vauge

TBH even before the whole Hogwarts Legacy drama Vei and Silver had barely participated actively in VShojo Events and Collabs. One could argue that since they weren't active members of VShojo it would not make sense to remain with them. You wouldn't keep a Netflix subscription if you no longer used it right? As for Mousey not contact her...she is one of the biggest vtubers on the plant for the last year or so plus having to deal with health & personal issues. You can't really blame her for not calling. Silver could have reached out if she wanted to.

My only issue was the message about mouse seemed really petty and also friendships are not one way streets if you want to talk more with your friends then start a conversation. Other than that im happy for the two of them and wish them the best.

Like with Pikamee, I wouldn't swear Silvervale left because VShojo didn't help her during the HL situation (they didn't do anything PUBLICLY to help and support her that is, maybe they helped her behind the scenes like Ironmouse did). It was 2 months ago.

It's actually kinda funny. A year or so ago, when NuxTaku made the video about the phishing scam with the guys pretending to be Vshojo. He gathered the intel, the receipts, did it all in conjunction with them, did the video and they gave him the green light. Then when they saw that the video made them look absolutely incompetent as a company when it came to cyber security they retract their green light statements and bash Nux, along with roping in their talents into it, under the guise of "protecting their talents". But then when one of their talents is getting harassed and doxxed they do not move a finger. I like some of the talents under them, but fuck me man they have easily become a garbage company when it comes to actually protecting their image and their talents.
