When I was in high school, I met a girl who was the sister of a friend. She was in the same institution, one class ahead. It's pretty sad that they will water down a word meant to describe someone who will cause irreversible damage and trauma to kids just to describe someone who likes things they don't. I worked in K-5 education. In the training beforehand there is a section on… certain misconduct. In that section, it talks about how the perpetrators will do everything they can to normalize it, to soften people’s reactions to it. The training refers to it as a slow and gradual process, and you might not even realize anything is happening until it’s too late. I want you all to think about that. While you have that in mind, think about this situation and the people trying to water down the terms. This behavior is expected and dangerous. That same training also says not to confront the potential perpetrators directly, bring your concerns to supervisors. In other words, if you see something, say something to someone that can fix it. Don’t at them, report them.

I will say, it took me a while to separate fiction from reality, and this video was another reminder to me. Reporting a drawing or fictional character rather than protecting a real child is absolutely insane to me

Accusing people of fictional crimes is much safer than accusing people of real crimes. They're less likely to out themselves as the predator...

If they were 18 and 14, it does seem a bit weird, but at the same time they're both still children in my eyes, and I'm certain there are a lot of relationships like it that have zero issues. It is far, far down on the list of priorities when it comes to dealing with predators that abuse children.

I'm glad therapy has become more accepted and easier to see a therapist over the years because these people clearly have problems that need to be treated if there even is treatment for such stupidity

I cannot begin to tell you how sick the behavior of the anti community on Twitter is, and I can confirm this behavior based on my interactions of each one I've encountered on so far. They do nothing for real life people then actively make things worse, but hey they're never wrong 🙄. A lot of them are insensitive and insecure and some always turn tail from certain conversations they start. If belittling and telling people they're glad that you receive the worst in life just because you don't agree with their views or question them it's a form of putting you on the path of repenting in their eyes, then they failed miserably. What they have is so-called proof are mostly opinion pieces without presenting any real to back up their claims. Their tactics would more than likely force people into the role that they think they're helping you get out of. If I hadn't had an ounce of common sense old self esteem in my body then I probably would have been just as delusional as they are or become so mentally warped that I would have committed such crimes a long time ago as I'm constantly being told I'm something I'm not. And a lot of these antis are just kids who don't know how to talk to people nor have the capacity to predict a person's behavior except based on their own perception of what it should be.
