I like how companies just push out video games that end up sucking and everyone complains about developers not taking enough time on a game, then when Skate takes the time to make sure the game is perfect and getting all the stuff people want in the game, and people wanna do nothing but complain. There is no winning with video games anymore

The worst thing y'all (the commenters) can do is to tell them to "hurry up." We've all seen how most recent AAA releases have turned out. Keep conducting these playtests. Keep iterating. We've waited 14 years since Skate 3. What's another 2 or 3 years at this point? I just want a good, COMPLETE Skate game at launch.

I hope it is not online only because I would love to just explore alone

Animations and tricks look so much better, they look nice and natural, but after 2 years I expect to also see environments more fleshed out without placeholder textures and geometry

As a participant in the most recent playtest I gotta tell you guys, it is WORTH the wait. They are creating perhaps the greatest skateboarding game of all time here and it feels so incredibly buttery smooth it's crazy.

All the comments about the graphics make me laugh. I appreciate EA giving us an early look at the game, even though the visuals are not fully implemented yet. Most companies hesitate to show their games at this early stage because they're not polished enough, but we get a sneak peek at the gameplay before the game is beautified.

You guys should just drop a skate 2 and 3 remastered for consoles tbh💯

i had the march playtest and i cant lie it didnt feel like these clips at all from a skate 3 veteran i was hella struggling on skate 4 with how it felt i quit

imo this is the best playtest video yet.. Looks like they're putting lot of thought and time into making it an innovative skate game. FINGERS CROSSED and I hope the servers will be good, because the game can be the best game ever, if servers are laggy, would not be fun. I'm getting more hyped, ngl

Tricks seem too floaty and not grounded enough. Makes me concerned that it'll be more of a Tony Hawk type game than what Skate 1/2 were.

This is how you make a game. You focus on the gameplay. Not the graphics, not the marketing, not the monetization model. It's shaping up to be something great.

Dont care how long development takes, please for the love of god just deliver a solid, complete game with no microtransactions

as much as we love the transparency of "we're working on it." and no need for a release date... the game skate. is becoming might as well just launch in early access sooner than later. it clearly is not a sequel to the full-priced games we loved with a story and missions. it's a free to play online always game that's going to evolve over time. i say just give us all access as soon as possible or surprise us with an announcement that it will still have a single-player campaign mode

Going to have so much fun socializing online skating around in beautiful environments with friends!

few ppl complaining about release but gotta respect how long it takes to build a project ground up like this, this is some hella good pre-alpha footage & most games at this stage look so much more janky but as of the recent builds I've been able to play & this in game footage it's extremely clean.

I’m now convinced comparing this to the one from a year ago that the only people working on the game are the folks that did the table interview. In my eyes this is nearly dead.

I like how gamers want to rush games to come out but complain when a game is rushed I swear gamers need to grow up I can’t wait till skate 4 is done and I will play it😂

I"m glad there is so much testing, a game like this has to deliver.

"Good things take time, as they should. We shouldn’t expect good things to happen overnight. Actually, getting something too easily or too soon can cheapen the outcome." I will remain eager and excited about this title. As things progress I think it would be awesome to toy with the idea of hardcore mode being revamped to be more like a mod tool than a predetermined setting, allowing a scale or slider for things like ollie height, spin speed, etc. I'm a bit spoiled now by what the modding community has achieved but I think this would appeal to the snobby realistic crowd and I'd imagine it's not all that far removed from the tools already present on the developer side. Maybe the trick would be allowing the player more freedom without allowing them to "break" the game or take it too far off the rails with undesirable outcomes. Negative two or three ollie height makes realistic tricks so much fun. Also, as a personal interest, I'm hoping for many hippie flippable rails with the same precise collision design that made them so difficult but satisfying to land in previous titles. Keep up the good work.
