It feels nostalgic because it's skate 3 from top to bottom. Everytime I see these updates I'm shook because nothing has changed. The floaty unrealistic physics and spinning on a center axis....it's literally skate 3 with some new features and now in app purchases. EA is a fuckin joke

Some tricks look nice, especially flatground. Seems the more air in a trick, the less natural it look though . And the rail transition at 1:10 for example, looks unnatural, skater looks too light and gets so much pop out of nowhere

@@SkittleThugg you can only get injured so many times irl before you can’t skate anymore, video games you can do silly unrealistic stuff and that’s is what makes it fun especially if it’s representative of how brutal it can really be in real life, skating has always been a decisive sport that alot of people get into because of how Intense skaters and the media surrounding it is so for them to try to make it more appealing by simply toning it down isn’t going to make anyone change their minds about the sport, especially playing a video game based on the sport like most popular video games depict fictional violence even sports games it’s just how it should look imo

It was announced as a free to play service so I doubt it will consist of any single player story.

On the new board room talk they said they're going to let users adjust how fast they want their flip tricks to spin! Brilliant feature!

@@DailyShit. Skate 2 is actually the only Skate game in which you cannot choose your pushing style.

@@DailyShit. skate 2 had the glitch where you could bank animations from previous tricks to be shown on the next trick...that's about as much as you could do as far as "style customization".

It's pretty wild to see. I've heard nothing about a stats menu or anything like that, but it's almost like they're building it to be dynamic... doesn't seem like you'll have to change anything in order to skate how you want, this has been the big thing is current skateboarding games.

Yeah nostalgic because if you played any of the skate series you're seeing the EXACT SAME GAME....what is new? Like name even 1 single core thing to the game, ill wait allll day. Graphics....same. Physics and floaty landings... same.... EA selling the exact same code with a new paint job and microtransactions that the franchise never needed (madden, fifa, hell even dirt from back when next gen consoles was ps3)....same dogwater dude.

@@thediydude It's honestly nothing like the old games, and it shows, being on a different engine. I'm most excited because it's a native PC port (praying for Linux support though) that doesn't need to be ran through an emulator, which results in poor performance. Skate, at least 1 and 2, are the most polished and rewarding skateboarding experiences, in my opinion at least, and the difficulty compared to other games of the same genre is unmatched. I'm just hoping they can replicate this to a good standard, and I've been hopeful so far. One core thing that has changed is you can manipulate the flip speed via your input, it's no longer just canned in that regard. But of course there aren't going to be many changes at the core, the whole idea is to closely resemble the previous games.

I mean, you can end up skating around the entire map pretty quickly, but it's rare you'll have skated the map in detail, and hit the same spots in different ways. I still find spots and different ways to skate them in the first game, despite sinking thousands of hours into it. The map doesn't need to be ridiculously large, and I won't complain if it is, but you just need an eye for detail I guess.

Realistic??? When have you ever seen someone do a hippy double back flip on vert , or seen ramps and rails that float 100 ft in the air, or gap off of a 50 story building and land on a 20 story building more than 100 ft away? This has as much realism as THPS... which is almost none.

@@PApro yes but theres also clips of a person barely being able to nollie inward heel the double set, it seems like you can both skate realistically and thps style. If thats the case thats awesome, I hate arcade skating like thps I want realistic as it can get I love session for that and xl, but I understand that lots of people want that crazy thps style so if they can figure out how to do both that would be really sick.

@@PApro it’s OVERLY obvious there’s a mix of both here bro, I’m sure there’s a realism setting for those who would rather do a kickflip bs tailslide that a hippy double backflip off a 20 story building.. There’s several clips in here that lean towards the realistic side

@@PApro Skate gives you the freedom of choice. If you want to skate realistic you can. When you want to mess around and do fun goofy stuff... you can.

Kind of like an evolution of the skate stopper mechanic in Skate 2

I was about to write this same thing dude. I remember thinking Skate 1 was crazy realistic and killed THPS for me. Now Session has done the same thing to Skate. I'm still excited for this but I can't help but feel a little disappointed that this won't hold up to Session from a gameplay standpoint.

How do you expect them to make money? And also it's Michael transactions that aren't game breaking so it's fair.

If the game is free, they gotta make money somehow?

@@davidfc7136 Yes and I prefer the traditional model of selling the game at a full price but with earnable content (cosmetics and new park creator items) instead of paid content but don’t get me wrong, I think the gameplay looks very good even in an unfinished state.

@@randymarsh9488 I get that the MTs aren’t a pay to win scheme or anything but I just prefer content that is awarded for playing and not when you feel like forking out a few extra £ for the latest item shop deck or something. The core of skate 3s progression system was the ability to unlock new items per board sale milestone, I personally preferred that.

@@jaydenhogan507 I'm sure it will be like call of Duty where you can grind to get certain gear, but the option should be able to be purchasable if another player wants to do so.
