You know what would be fun? Having a sibling doll for Macaroon named Macaron based on the opposite dessert! So there's a fun flip-flop theme for the giggles. :D

I LOVE the fact you show the struggles of paper art vrs digital fixing. I'm always struggling with how much I relay on being able to fix my art digitally when I'm having an off day so it helps seeing an artist I admire who does the same! These came out adorable!! and can't wait to see the 'color with me' episode xD

I can't draw on paper anymore just because I struggle with my eyesight and hands (can't really hold thin pencils anymore..). I really didn't have a choice but to move to digital lol. I prefer the action of drawing on paper with a real pen or pencil, but digital has been my savior because I can fix mistakes much quicker without wearing down my wrists further. I don't think people should be ashamed of drawing poorly on paper; it's not easy! Granted, digital drawing isn't easy either, but it's a lot less time-consuming if you're a perfectionist lol. Anyway you're right, it is so nice being able to see other artists admit to relying a bit more on digital art over traditional art. Makes me feel a little less alone.

I like macaroon's name. I headcanon her parents expected her to be a totally more bland and less colorful person when naming her but she ended up being adorable frilly and pastel XD

I just love having Scetch with Me's in the background while I do work, it's like being on a phone call with your bestie while you're both doing your thing. Idk how to explain it, it has this comforting vibe of fellowship that just calms me down

Might be too large for your space, but a "studio c stand" might give you the camera positioning flexibility you're looking for! They're super sturdy and customizable based on whatever setup you're rocking!

I've always loved the sketch with me's, so I'm glad to see another one! Of the four, my favorite is Cupcake, but she's always been a favorite of mine! To be honest, the four colored lineworks on a plain color t-shirt would absolutely be something I would wear! They look so clean and precise, like they're a pop group... the Dollightfuls!

I was also having a bad motivation for art day today but forced myself to start cause I owed someone something and hey turned out alright in the end anyway, as ya do haha, such a familiar struggle to just get started. love seeing the poses and the before and afters with the alterations made! thank you for sharing your work with us!

I always find it funny when you cut down your own work. It is beautiful. I personally can’t draw stick figures, and you draw these wonderfully elaborate, colourful intricate dolls and sketches. Be proud of what you do! Your art is amazing. And to think that you do it all when you have a toddler. Incredible.

I love seeing your dolls come to life through your art! They're already so expressive and vibrant, but their personalities really shine through with your drawings. I understand not having enough time to draw (my own job keeps me soooooooo busy that I don't really have the energy to draw much during my free time) but it's clear you really enjoy it. I love the slight differences in complexion you gave them, like Cupcake being the slightest bit rounder than the rest and Tokki looks short and Jade looks a little bit taller than the rest. Intentional or not, it adds to their character and I love it uwuwuwuwuwuwuwu

Hey Catherine! I'm not an artist myself so I can't empathize too much with the struggle but I do think we tend to be our own worst critics with creative pursuits. From an outsider looking in, it's always a delight to watch you work and nobody's at 100 all the time. If anything, I'm sure a lot of your fellow artists do appreciate you showing mistakes or having to rework things - it's authentic. We love and support you all the same, even when you're having an off day

A drawing challenge can be difficult at the time but you pulled through. I was having a hard time drawing a Freshwater Siren since I was so inspired by Wizard101 Sirens from Ice & Storm, I was quite disappointed that there wasn't any other elements like Fire, Myth, Death, or Balance so I've decided to make up my own. I still think your sketch art came out beautifully gorgeous! See you next time.

Not gonna lie, I had no problem with the Macaron-Macaroon mixup because I had the same mixup as a kid 😅 Macaroons were communion treats in my hometown and everyone was calling them macarons (and were the best sweet treat to get from a church at the time, no joke). I had an actual macaron many years later when I went to get some from a patisserie, following a very funny conversation of confusion with the baker about the names 😂.

Thanks for talking about the Macaroon vs Macaron thing. I’m constantly correcting people working at a bakery. I think macaroon is just easier to say for us Americans. We like our ”oo” sounds.

Aaah that was so nice and relaxing to watch! Those drawings came out really well! I love drawing, but unfortunately I haven't been in the mood/zone to do it lately, so kudos to you for doing it out of the zone! I loved the BMX Baby picture you did lol. I really enjoy watching your... well, ALL of your videos, but also your Sketch With Me videos. It's always been interesting to me to watch other people's methods of drawing, as well as their art styles. Thank you I had a strong creative block since last year, walking everywhere with my materials without inspiration but wanting to draw until I saw this video The way you draw the hair, faces, pose, I was Soo inspired 😮 it's the first time in long time that I make all the process of my draw style (the idea, choose pose, clothe, hair, face, sketch, LineArt, colors, coloring) in one day 🥰 It was like magic when I saw the hair of macaroon and my head says "I want to make a character with a hairstyle ending curvy like her character" 😂 Soo really really thanks you ❤❤❤ your art always inspire me to keep practicing
