WestBrick is a rough moniker. But it speaks to his poor play on the court. Like “Tragic” Johnson doesn’t say Magic is a tragic human being. But it harks to the poor NBA Finals he had. “Bosh” Spice is just a low blow because it doesn’t correlate with ANYthing basketball except what Skip arbitrarily decided it means. He called Chris a female because he played poorly. THAT is out of bounds.
I don't think he had a problem with the name on a fundamental level. He was embarrassed for getting called out live by Jalen but he didn't go on a tirade about getting called that name. I think he was just embarrassed but thought the name was in bounds

Skip hurt his credibility when he was hurt by Jalen Rose's comments about him being a scrub in high school. He should've brushed it off when it happened. Now he looks stupid. Skip wanted to cry when he got called out. He can dish it but cant take it.
Dont matter Skip is a legend in the TV and debate game we wont see another Skip for awhile he had great chemistry with tons of ppl, him and Stephen A were a great duo

bllplyr4b I can't either man. He seems to almost always get stuck in both mid sentence and mid thought and hardly ever moves the needle when speaking if at all. He doesn't look or sound confident at all and overall body language is terrible for television.

I respect your point but Jalen only went to that point because Skip made an offensive statement about what position he played and challenged his knowledge on the game. It wasn't as if it was completely unwarranted.
I've always been a big fan of Marcellus, a former player that knows his stuff (and sports in addition to just football) and knows what he's doing in the media.

I like how Skip characterizes it as a 'scathingly accurate" nickname. Self gratifying classification aside, who determines it's accurate? It's like when someone says a comment was just finely tuned sarcasm. If it's not clearly evident that's what it was then it wasn't. Skip's total justification is I'm right and that makes it alright. In the end, it's cool as long as you don't call me on it. Rob making bad arguments to point where Skip was like, "Never mind man, I got it." Marcellus representing as always. Skip was right about Gasol being soft. Kobe even said it and it was his biggest concern after they traded for him. They worked on it and turned him into one of the toughest grittiest players in the league because he accepted it and worked on it instead denying it and crying about it

Nicknames are names that are givin to a person that he or she agrees with and except, if the person does not except or like the nickname, it becomes name calling
It's funny listening to this all these years later basically skip is saying if I feel something in your play gives you a name I'm going to call you that name but what's funny is no matter how you try to shape it it's name-calling period and skip will never face that type of criticism because no one's on TV worried about Skip's performance except for the network he works at skip has never performed any type of sport at a high level. Keep in mind this all cause skip got his feelings hurt by jalen and they did this for like a full week. Also keep in mind skips "explanation" to jalen basically boiled down to "the coach didnt like me cause i was too good, he couldnt see the vision"
