This easy smoked pork belly recipe is done like pork belly burnt ends, except with a fantastic old fashioned cocktail style glaze! Credit to ‪@MadScientistBBQ‬ for this idea - He did old fashioned glazed ribs this way, which gave me the idea to try it with some smoked pork belly. The notes or orange and bourbon give these smoked pork belly burnt ends some amazing flavor, and the addition of the simple syrup creates the perfect glaze when you reduce the sauce and baste the pork belly. These pork belly burnt ends were amazing, and they’d make the perfect smoker appetizers for your party!

That sauce is called an old fashioned in Wisconsin.We don't waste it on food, we drink it with our meal on Saturday night at the supper club. Looks great!

The best burnt ends I have ever had was from pork belly. That is my absolute favorite way to have them. You are correct when you say it doesn’t feel like work when you’re having fun. GBO.

Looks pretty delicious Neal. I make something like that but with Salmon but I use a Maple Bourbon Glaze sold by Hey Grill Hey and it's pretty delicious. I would like to try making your recipe but it's hard to find some Pork Belly where l live. Have a awesome weekend Neal.

Can’t begin to tell you how much I love your Que That seasoning!! Went through a whole bottle in one weekend it was sooo good 😂. I usually use Malcom Reed’s Killer Hogs BBQ Rub, but I think I have a new favorite. Thank you two for making it.

Oh, that looks good! Bourbon, Whiskey, Rum, Brandy will all work with the right compliments. There would be a good application for a sprayer, but you'd have to filter the glaze before applying it. Don't know if the trade off is worth it. I just hate brushing or mopping. I don't have the patience for it! 😄 Thanks Neal!

This seems like a fun one to try. We picked up a Boston Butt today, so I'll be smoking that overnight Friday night probably and resting in a low oven all day to pull for supper Saturday evening. That Heath Riles Tangy Vinegar BBQ sauce is divine on pulled pork if you haven't tried it.

@@PelletsandPits Lately I’ve taken to using a method from Meat Church where I put it in a half pan when wrapping so that when I pull I can dredge it through its own jus. That definitely stepped the game up.

Next time you do ribs , could you show the difference between wrap and unwrap ribs . I don’t wrap my ribs but a lot of people do.

I have been doing a combination of half and half charcoal pellets and BandB championship pellets....along with 1/3 mix of oak chips from LTG...unfortunately they are out quite a bit on the chips and hard to keep in stock..

Great video. When I tried this before the skin was way too tough. Should I cut that off before smoking? Everything else was great, but the skin sucked.

Snake...for the 4 hours...after that when you pull the belly to cut....rearrange the coals...and bump up the temps...
