Oh gawd Christina, Been there! Done that! No food, boggy terrain, tired, sore and HANGRY! It takes real grit to get through it. Great support from lovely Ben though. I think the angels are with you on this trip. As you both said, someone or something always turns up when you need it most. The Scottish people are great aren't they. Great watch and thank you for allowing us to accompany you on this trip. XXX Dawn
I felt so sorry for you. This was the first time I’ve ever seen you in so much pain. Thankfully, your trail angels showed up and gave you a lift . Sure hope you feel better quickly.
Wow that was hard going! Few people will have the strength to do the whole trail in one go. Christine hope your leg is better after a rest. You both will make it to the end. ☺️
Love all music you put to your videos. Sets the mood great and yes, praying always helps ❤ that’s so true that trail makes you appreciate what we have at home, hence it is such an insightful activity. Life-changing on many levels
Youre right!! I was a materialistic person, afraid of commitment before I went on 179 day Appalachian Trail thru-hike in 2021. I came back a different person, appreciating the simple things and my relationship with Ben improved. I even had the courage to marry him 7 months ago. Backpacking has changed my life. Getting puppy Bobo made me start hiking abd backpacking. Thanks to Bobo who changed everything
Just try to keep going both of you, the conditions have not been kind to you. Recharge your batteries (meaning rest and eat well) over the next two days, and the trail will look so much better. Have followed you both from day one, you both can do it. My Best Wishes to you both. Regards. Andrew.
I hope Christina's leg feels better soon.It might be IT band syndrome. The trail is becoming super challenging. If anyone can do it Ben and Christina can.
Christina , you are amazing , there isn't many people who have walked the Scottish National Trail all in one go . Especially the Cape Wrath part which is a nightmare with bogs and no paths. Keep going , your doing fantastic. 🥰
Crikey! That was an emotional rollercoaster. From the bog hopping to the strain of the pulled muscle. My admiration for what you both achieved is complete. True grit!
Cape Wrath is tough and you are doing it again after doing hundreds of miles of walking to get there. After 6 months of almost solid rain it must be so tough but you have done the Appalachian Trail and makes you a trekking superstar. You can do it!
For some reason when approaching a town or significant place the mind always tricks us into thinking it is going to be an easy day. It’s never as easy as that.
You're such great hiking partners! So sweet how Ben kept strong when you were having a really hard time. What sweet ladies to give you a ride...true trail angels!! Hope that meal was as delicious as it looked! Rest that angry left leg. See you back on trail when you're feeling better. Take care. Happy trails! 👣
Don't give up now Christina, you and Ben have come such a long way and you are nearly there, I hope after you have rested up your leg will be OK, can you get a new screen on your phone rather than replacing it?
The cuckoo chirping at 5:00! Awe and then you made me shed a tear. You both are so awesome. You can DOOOOO anything! I really wanted to see you just slosh through all that water tho no point trying to keep shoes clean and dry !!! Has your leg healed up now?
Oh I did at some point but I still need to ne careful and npt just step anywhere cause you don't know how deep and how uneven. You might sink in 5 inches of mud and having to pull your shoe out of it..it might slow you down even more
Well done both of you ❤. You just needed a good "blub" (cry) 😊. You will be ok with a good rest and some fish and chips (amazing Ullapool). Im just watching Bobo with his hiking shoes and socks on - so funny. Hes on the Good Water Loop Trail. Keep going you two - nearly there.
A much tougher day than last year when you were skipping along to Inverlael in the sunshine. But you made your target, and a chance to rest and refuel.
