Final boss battle against the Death Egg Robot with an S rank. [1080 HD] {60 FPS} Perhaps the most difficult final boss to do a no damage run when reaching the last phase.
Bootlegkachu yes ty! I got pissed off that they copied the same attack phase from colors, even lost worlds! Don’t tell me that they’re running out of ideas.
@@truearea53 really? It didn't even LOOK like the egg nega wisp armor! Just because it plays similar to something before it, doesn't mean it's a reskin.
Ian Nations So? They just had to do the same thing and not trying something new. Like Eggman in a battle suite and put the phantom ruby on his chest for unlimited power or the stone is alive and created an dimensional being and super Sonics are involved. So it shows that they’re running out of ideas.
@@Canyon_Storm Except it's not, because unlike Nega Wisp it's actually a tad bit challenging. You actually gotta reach the thing, unlike Nega Wisp which just suddenly comes torward you for no reason. Face it, this is straight up better than Nega Wisp.
@Wester Gambit I'd say the Forces Death Egg Robot is more v Nega Wisp Armor in appearance and laser attack mixed with v Silver in flame attack (Psychic Knife in Silver's case) and v Egg Dragoon in Drill Attack, the latter 2 from Generations. I'd also say v Metal Sonic and v Infinite (Showdown) are more like Egg Hawk, Egg Albatross, and Egg Emperor (all of which in turn rip off the Hero and Dark finale boss fight from Adventure 2 (which would later be remixed in Generations)), in that Sonic is forced to run MANUALLY to keep up with and use Homing Attack on the given bosses. v Infinite (Phase 1) actually feels more original, since it's a modified version the Super Speed Stages from Lost World, where instead of running on a cylindrical surface and bouncing off of Planetoid Springs to reach the next boss, you fight Infinite on said cylindrical surface (in this case, a Phantom Ruby snake) and end the fight by bouncing off of said Planetoid Springs and Homing Attacking him in mid-air. Also, the Super Speed Bosses from Colors started the trend of ripping boss ideas straight from Unleashed.
Nathaniel AYI I liked it too! One of the last levels had platforming that was a bit annoying at times But apart from that my only real complaint is that the game is really short IMO
Can we please stop reusing the Egg Dragoon, Death Egg Robot and Naga Wisp Boss in eggman boss battles? I don't think it's that hard to come with new designs....
@@bachilles3285 First of all, I’ll bet you never played Colors and Lost worlds. If so, then I suggest you play those before you embarrass yourself trying to defend that trashy game. And second, try and make me. For I’m gonna prove that Forces is the same thing from Colors.
And what if the Phantom Ruby transformed Eggman into that robotic monster in 3rd phase of battle, just like when it did it to the Hard Boiled Heavies on Sonic Mania?
OR the phantom Ruby has a conscious that transform itself into space a inner dimensional being like a god. And Sonic’s uses the power of the 7 Emeralds to fight super against super.
Cinos the Dense potato - I love Infinite's theme, it's fantastic. The reason I felt he was underused was there being no real connection between him and Eggman, so it felt like he was just a side character. Also, he had three boss fights and they all failed to use the Phantom Ruby to its advantage in terms of design. The third boss against him is rubbish anyway, in my opinion
TheKeitaNobodyAskedFor there isn’t many possible attack patterns to be implemented in a 3 lane, endless runner boss fights, but the part where phase 3 fires energy onto the ground, especially in X patterns is quite badass
2:04 YOU HEAR THAT? Popular fan theory: (50% confirmed via sonic forces comics) Ruby: omae wa mou SHINDEIRU eggman: NANI? Ruby: *throws out eggman via teleportation, and mind wipes him of the past events Ruby: THIS IS MY FINAL FORM!!! Mania sonic: oh no not again...
True or even better. That the phantom Ruby has a conscious that it transform itself into an inner dimensional being that’s gonna wipe out the entire existence, that Sonic’s have no choice but to use the chaos emeralds to destroy it in their super forms.
@@truearea53imagine if the phantom ruby wasnt an actual ruby, but instead it was actually an egg. and at the end it hatched and started messing with reality which started to warp reality, leaving sonic and the cast to stop it.
@@truearea53 OR, that they decided the idea of pursuit fights is a really solid idea that's been around since fighting Final Eggman in Sonic 2, and really captures the idea of Sonic being a speedster
@@truearea53 They consistently change the actual way the boss fights, which is something. In this case, they tweak the attacks, change how you gain boost, etc. Most games reuse similar concepts throughout for their bosses, honestly
Nice OC, my guy. It kinda was a capital idea to use the Burst but I usually use the Asteroid when fighting the final boss. I also defeated it in Japanese everything and even in Amy Rose's outfit (Don't ask, I crossdress "sometimes") 😉
Sonic Forces is beautiful but too easy and short ! If it was more difficult with longer levels it would have been great ! This final Boss is the reflection of the game : beautiful but easy and short (not too much but it should have been longer and more challenging)
Fun Fact: not only does this boss really look like a titan, but also when we sey eggman inside it, it's almost identical to how some ancients as well as sage look like when controlling a titan from the inside
If there were voice lines for Eggman, this would’ve been official, like this: (Phase 1) Eggman: “Feel the wrath of my Death Egg Robot, Sonic! Let’s start with your past self!” (Phase 2) Eggman: “Nngh! Beginner’s luck! I’m not finished yet! Prepare to die, you ungrateful rookie!” (Final Phase) Eggman: “NO! My Death Egg Robot! Now you’ve done it, fools! Hunk of junk, let me out! Let! Me! OUT! This is it, Sonic! I will crush you with my ultimate power!” (Eggman defeated) Eggman: “NO! But I was so close! I WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN THIS TIME!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”
usually you have to spam the x or square button(depending on what platform you're on) for the double boost to get faster or max score but you dont really have to press that much or worry about the small timer that appears under it but the triple boost in the final boost has a small timer under it moving really fast so you have spam the button REALLY FAST before timer ends thats how you do it
While not the most original boss, it's a really solid boss at it's core, 3 phases with different formula, great and proggresive music and atmosphere and a great desing when It comes to "higher skill quicker time". A great conclusion to not the best but a really fun game IMO After playing Frontiers it's kinda jarring that the final boss got a really stupid affordance desing flaw and this one got it right, your older brother got it right so idk why you f*ck It up such and issue that made me RESTART THE ENTIRE FINAL BOSS
I know some people don't like forces but it was 1 of the best games for me and the final boss is probably the best sonic boss i have ever seen the music the atmosphere it feels so right to me this is 1 of the best sonic games i have ever played and i know people think its short but that's what I liked it felt like a game that was not tedious to complete like unleashed is and no lives made it easier because if you messed up in unleashed and got a a game over sorry your starting from the beginning but anyway all sonic games are great in some way.
@NickMario1 My favorite part of that sonic is one of Eggman's prisoners at the beginning of the game. It felt like since Sonic saved his friends from Eggman from time to time, now, it's their turn to help him.
I PAST THAT LEVEL SO MANY TIMES, but on my ps4 I'm trying to beat level 25 right now, its hard but I will finish the level, and then I will get to all that stuff.
Am i the only person who wants eggeman, to like, win?? Like a real win, not a fake win where sonic somehow comes out on top in the end, but like a real win. Cuz hes obviously got huge armadas of fleets and machines, and factories that span miles, but somehow he always losses to the power of friendship or somthing like that. I just want one game where the ending is that he wins, and the next game being sonic trying to strike back. Eggman is just so cool, and i feel like he needs some real spotlight :(
Ah yes, the final boss that's a copy of Lost World's final boss, which is a copy of Colors' Final Boss, which is a copy of Secret Rings' Sand Scorpion lol
I Know I'm Not The First Person To Bring This Up But Sega Could've Named This Boss Literally Anything. And They Went With "Death Egg Robot" Personally I Would've Gone With "Egg Monarch" Anyone Agree?
Phase 3 made me so pumped, the music and the way it just shocks us by coming out of the other Death Egg Robot. Wish it had an original design but damn I wish I could play this part and skip the Classic and Avatar part.
Understandable. A robot that almost looks like a wild predator suddenly emerge out of a harmless robot. Furthermore the soundtrack starts off a bit eerie
Dose Eggman die at the end? It sure implies that he dose. Its more like Eggman has physically transformed into that monster robot at the end than piloting it.
I heard somewhere that Eggman escaped during the fight, perhaps when Phase 3 started? Meaning that the robots you were fighting are controlled by the Phantom Ruby.
I have a request. Please could you add cutscenes for games in between your attempts on all levels. I would watch it. I haven’t worded it quite well, but I hope you know what I mean.
Sonic Forces isn’t as bad as everyone says it is, I enjoyed the game to the extent of actually trying to Platinum the game. I S Ranked all the stages got all Red Rings, Bingo Numbers and Silver Moons and then when I saw that a trophy need me to complete all the missions I gave up lol.
The story is fine, Classic and the Avatar have good gameplay, and Forces does the characters (specifically Amy, Knuckles, Eggman, and Shadow) better than anything in the series. I will agree that the level design (particularly Sonic's stages and with the exception of Classic's stages (due to being 2D to begin with), the Avatar stages, Network Terminal, and Null Space) is short and lacking in 3D and 3D split paths, Sonic's speed is nerfed as fuck, and the game itself should've started development in 2011, but it's still a playable and tollerable game. We're looking at you, 06, Free Riders, and Lost World. I've almost gotten 100% completion, but I'm stuck on the v Death Egg Robot Speedrun Mission. I know what I need to do, but I don't know the best method of doing it.
I just finished this boss today it was sooo hard I like phase 3 song but hey I got sonic shoes finally and I was playing on Nintendo switch btw I got a C on it
tbh when i played this it was the must underrated boss fight seriously wish they could have tried for something more challenging... or better yet something more original
I really love Sonic Forces. I ain't afraid to say it. It's my 2nd favorite Sonic Game. And this Boss fight was by far better than Sonic Lost World's or imo Sonic Generations one's. But as someone already said in the comments they need to stop using the Sonic Colours Formula. It's still one of my favorite Sonic Bosses. Something that never changes in Sonic Games... The Music was soo fucking Epic😍😍😍
Awesome job! 💫It's sad that classic sonic only needs to fight him for 40 seconds. Most people seem to use the burst weapon, but I was using the asteroid when I first fought him. It looks like it's easier to deal with his missiles using the burst weapon though, because activating the asteroids ability to block the missiles slow down the time you have to damage his arm. I should go back and try to beat my time record with the burst weapon.
It would have been kinda cool if the final boss be something new other than basically copying and pasting the boss from sonic colours / colours ultimate
