Open passing (gold/slow advanced) group. Another sloppy driving day. Struggled with the car pitching forward too hard, so it took a while before I got used to how the car was behaving. I had a feeling I messed up the dampers up front, but I was too lazy to check during the day. While putting the car back to full soft, I found that I had set the front left to be 2 clicks softer than it should be. Nice. Lesson learned though; check dampers if car feels off. Overall, I can't be too upset to only be 1.3s off my PB on dead tires. Next day will be at Laguna w/ NCRC in a few weeks.
Today's focus was to improve my 1-2, which I think got better throughout the day. I also went back to a diamond line down 6, which is probably faster. I do end up keeping it tight most of the time, but as long as I don't overslow the entry, the diamond should form naturally. On 7, I tried less time on max brake pressure and trailing deeper, which seems better since I'm able to carry a lot more speed into it and launch out straighter, consistently hitting 90+ into 8. I still need to be more patient with the throttle to get the car pointed correctly at the top. Next focus will likely be 11. Aiming for the 3rd barrels hasn't really worked out, so I think I'll go for the 4th with smoother throttle application. I will also push my brake point after the dip since I tend to overslow and go into steady state too quickly, resulting in understeer. I think with fresher tires, decent driving, and these adjustments, I can hit 1'51.
After 3 full-ish days, the tires were definitely cycled out with barely any tread left. After today, 2 of the tires were completely done, and the other 2 have maybe half a day left. In hotter conditions, I'm guessing they'll barely last 3 days. If I was brave and skilled enough, I would try a slidey day at Laguna, but nah. I'll have fresh tires and hopefully improve on my time there.

15:15 Odd maneuver by the lotus. I thought he spun, but apparently the car had a fuel cut so he bailed out of the corner.
