Yes and no. Yes because it's nice to have, but I can't say that I have ever been in a situation where I wouldn't have figured out the fault without the analog. One of my techs likes to use because of how responsive it is and you can see things you wouldn't always see with the digital but I wouldn't call it a must have.

I don't think it's a must have but it's nice to have.

Sorry we don't have many backlight replacement videos. We typically don't do those as RU-vid already has lots of those out there and most are descent quality. I don't think I would do any better of a job so I would recommend checking out some of the other TV repair channels that do perform those repairs on video.

Those screw in the center won't allow to remove the cover

I have the sony kd75x8000h 75inch, very similar to this and have replaced the power supply and gotten it working again. For the life of me, I can't get the back to clip back on 😢

Oh if you have wall mount screws then you will need to remove those first.

It's possible the clips are bent on your TV. You do have to put a slight amount of force down to clip the cover back on.
