I just installed the Rovan Symmetrical steering kit on my 1/5 scale gas Baja truck and when I turn right it goes left and when I turn left it goes right and I'm currently using the DX5C controller can anyone help me with this issue???
Hi ive got spektrum sr201 and the steering wheel dosent turn but when i switch around the with throttle the that dosent work but the steering on throttle does work what could be the issue??
DX6 all of a sudden fails to bind all my planes...noticed I left it On til batteries drained..I did replace all batteries. When I turned on my Eflite air tractor , DX6 did not work. Tried it on my other planes..same thing..been trying to rebind and even tried binding as "New Model" to No avail..any ideas?thank you very much
Dear SpektrumRC. I bought both, the DX5 Pro and the DX5C both transmitters says they are compatible with DSM2 in the 16.5 ms. Frame rate, but non of them would let me select that frame rate because it doesn’t show on the screen. They jump from 11 ms. to 22ms. With out showing the 16.5 ms. Option. Could you help please? I all ready dig all internet and no information found.
the AVC on my vorteks 3s doesn't seem to be working after installing a new steering servo. Now my car runs fine with AVC completely turned off, but with it turned on my car does circles with no steering input from me. what could be causing that?
Depends on the receiver really. If it is an AR636, unplug and remove the receiver from the model to perform the calibration after an update. That way you can ensure it is label up and level
Hey spektrum rc.. what causes the a3230b controller to lose power and crash the plane.. fresh lipo.. habu had 10 flights on it.. and the controller somehow shutdown 1 min after takeoff and caused my jet to plummet to the ground resulting in a total loss of my jet.. Lookin for answers because I own a twin timber and it's brand new and now I'm paranoid of your Chinese controllers losing power randomly and destroying planes
Get a blade 70s for only like $50 or something really reasonable. You can learn a lot from a very cheap and simple heli before you drop about $500 for a radio $160, helicopter roughly $200, then batteries plus a charger, probably another $100 for a decent charger and 2 batteries. That being said, you will have the best helicopter essentially in the world, before you get into the multi-thousand dollar big helis with very advanced flight controllers (basically the same type of stabilization flight controller), helicopters fly well all depending on the gyro, that's it. I suggest get the $50 blade first and download Absoluteheli app from app store and you can learn a lot first.
No matter what I do I can not get my brake fu ction working for my nitro buggy. My old reciver kept the power and applied brake when the transmitter was turned off. Now the receiver also turns off on my RS315 with my Rugged works fine binding electric cars but nitro is frustrating even following the instructions
I wish I had known that not all spektum receivers and transmitters were compatible before I spend $150.00 on them. Maybe put a huge Car and boat picture or No Air on the boxes.😡
My stock mojaves 6s car gets about 20 feet away and the car stops and if not stopped the inputs I'm giving the remote like turn right are delayed by 5 seconds or just not at all any ideas
I have a JR10X transmitter with the 2.4 DSM2 module. I'm trying to bind an AR8010T. I will get solid orange but no servo inputs working? I've tried multiple times and getting frustrated. The manual says they are compatible.
I had to replace the transmitter that came with my arrma senton. I went with the stx3 but can not get it to bind with the slr300 reciever thats in the vehicle.
Trying to hook up lights using my stx3 have a servo switch with lights plugged into my aux channel but switch on controller won't turn on and off light any help would be appreciated thanks
Hello , I have arrma typhon 6s box v5 and Mojave 6s blx , I would like to know if I can upgrade to a new transmitter that would be able to work with both cars instead carrying the two original transmitter
Dear spektrumrc, i am really new to the RC hobby and i have a question, since you're website doesn't exist anymore i figured i asked it this way, I have a spektrum DX7eu and i'm wondering what receivers are compatible with that transmitter, and is it possible that you guys can send me the manual of the DX7eu? i can't find it anywhere.
@@ennovanbaars330 Ok, So pretty much all of our current DSMX receivers will work with that transmitter BUT you will not some functions like forward programming and telemetry. Hope that helps!
If the receiver is powered on without being previously bound (and the tx that it was bound to needs to powered on and transmitting RF) OR you did not have the Receiver in BIND mode (either by holding the bind button or with a bindplug) then you will not see any LEDs.
Have a srx210. I got given to me with a corally carpet car. Which I received with no receiver. I have a spek dx2e dsm. Are these 2 compatible with 1 another?
@SpektrumRC Just brought home a vorteks, the servo chatters and the esc won't let me calibrate throttle. I tried binding the tx/rx and the receiver flashes in binding mode, and the remote flashes orange but they never bind.... Truck won't move and it's frustrating lol......
I'm having some problems binding to my Ar 6100 receiver. It will not go into bind. If I put in bind plug and supply power it just stays solid orange. (I've tried a second bind plug to confirm that's the the cause). Anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here or should it just be replaced
Hi Tom - I wonder if you can help me? I have a Spekrtum DX6i. I'm struggling to make it bind with my new AR6210 receiver. I plug in the bind plug. then the power - all I get is a solid red light on the receiver and amber on the aerial unit. I'm not getting a flashing light to enable me to bind. I'd really appreciate your help...
Hi Ben! Sorry for the late reply, some times these notifications get lost in the mix! Normally that would tell me you have something plugged in backwards in the servo ports. Like a servo or your receiver battery. Hope that helps if you are still having trouble :)
I purchased a DX5C with the sr6100at, I put it into my TRX4, I'm using AUX 1 for my two speed transmission servo and AUX 2 is used for front and rear locking differentials, a reversing y splitter with potentiometer on one channel so they go in opposite directions. I can get the radio to bind, but my avc appears to mess with AUX 1 and 2, if I turn avc off (I think it's off) I can't switch my diff and trans servos from momentary, the option is no longer displayed in the screen. any suggestions?
Make sure you are disabling AVC via the receiver (there is a different binding method for this) Beyond that I always suggest creating a new model and starting over when you run into issues that you are not sure what setting caused it. Most of the time this is brought on by the same switch being assigned to another function, either by default or by user. Hope that helps!
@@SpektrumRCvideos yes I was able to get it to work. And i loved it so I bought a pitts 850mm lol my question now is why when I bind the dxs with the pitts I can't control the ailerons?
@@SpektrumRCvideos hi I tried to change remote but not working put it back together but I think AUX is fan but not sure THR STR what comes from car into them two will it be ok if they in wrong slot
You need help binding an STX2? Please keep in mind that the STX2 ONLY works with the SRX line of receivers that use the FHSS protocol. Otherwise the fundamentals expressed in this video are the same
I'm having trouble binding my dx4c transmitter to the SRX200 receiver. Are they compatible? I think I know the answer as I've been trying to bind for hours now 😪
They are not compatible. The SRX receivers use a open source 2.4 protocol, FHSS (Done to reduce cost) and the DX4C uses DSMR and DSM2 protocol. Suggest getting a SR215 if you need a budget friendly receiver :)
@@phillybrc Double check that power is getting the receiver. Otherwise, see if the same setup works with another rx. If the receiver is indeed DOA, then one receiver I would consider is upgrading the the SR315. This unit is great because it supports SLT and DSMR radios, so when you want to upgrade to a higher end Spektrum radio, you will be good to go!
I have a dx5 rugged. I own a traxxas maxx stock. I switched out the radio. It worked. But now the esc is flashing green. I know turn it on and it will steer but no throttle. Any suggestions
I have a dx3 and sr315 in a losi dbxl gas set up and having major issues with the binding. Can't find info how to really troubleshoot. It binds easily but all the trim settings are acting up. Trying to set throttle and steering and instead of slowly moving the servo horns nothing happens and then they jump almost 90 degrees instead of gradually adjusting.
@@SpektrumRCvideos no dashboard app. Not sure what is happening but I gave up and went with a different tx/rx setup to get it going. Occasionally it would bind and I would have all controls instead of just some but when that was the case the servos were chattering like crazy and no returning back to zero. I tried to bind standard way and Gas/Nitro way per manual and nothing ever worked properly. Ended up buying a radiolink just to get it working quickly and had no issues. The DX3 def feels better and not as cheap so kinda bummed I had to ditch it.
I have the same receiver and transmitter. It always binds no problem, but it feels like it skips calibration… like you said, servos get all chattery and jumpy. Impossible to control like that…
Hi.. i’m having trouble to bind my dxe with ar636 receiver.. ‘please power cycle your receiver/transmitter’ pops out when i connect them to spektrum apps.. please advice
@@izhamzulkifli7002 Make sure the receiver is sitting still and level on the gear. If it was transplanted out of one model into another this can be difficult because the orientation is calibrated to the original model. You may need to install the rx so that it mimics how it was positioned in the original OR you can try different AR636 presets OR try programming via a PC. Hope that helps!
I have a problem with my tx/rx pair. They are bound ok and the steering channel works ok. The throttle channel is live but it’s full throttle or nothing. There is no progression. Please help
@@SpektrumRCvideos the rx is an SRX200 (SPMSRX200) the tx is a SPMSTX200. The ESC is “ 20A BRUSHED ESC - TURNIGY TZ4 AWD/DRIFT SPEC 9315000271-0” from HobbyKing
@@johnw889 Sounds like a setting on the ESC, I would check with Hobbyking. One thing you can do to test that it is indeed a ESC issue and not Radio is to plug the esc into the steering port and vice versa and see if the problem follows the esc or throttle channel. Hope that helps!
@@SpektrumRCvideos i bought a servo/ESC tester (www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-Servo-Tester-Etronix-3-Mode-Servo-ESC-Tester-Spektrum-Heli-Car-Plane-ET0052-/261189842520?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292) and using that the output of the ESC behaves the same way - all or nothing. So how do i calibrate the ESC.?
Hello, I've got a problem with my new DX8 receiver. My transmitter is telling me that it's bound just fine but even after removing the bind plug the orange light of the receiver keeps blinking (slower than in bind mode but it keeps calmly blinking) and the motor keeps beeping just like it's still in bind mode. And I have no control over the motor or any servos what so ever. I have absolutely no idea why this happens because the Lipo and all of the other electronics work just fine with my older DX6. Thank you for any help!
Hi MadDog95, a slow blinking light normally indicates a power input issue. I would double check all your ports to make sure everything is plugged in propperly. ALSO if the receiver is being powered by a ESC or BEC, it could be a issue with that unit making it not provide enough voltage to the unit. Otherwise, we might need more info to help :) Feel free to message us on Facebook or send us a email at productsupport@horizonhobby.com with more info. Thanks!
@@SpektrumRCvideos thank you for the support but already figured out what the problem was. I forgot to plug in the external antenna module since there isn't any information on it in the user manual. Now it works just fine, great product! :)
