I swear MVC Spidey and WOS Spidey are the only video game interpretations of the character im fully convinced dont pull their punches. I find it really funny how much comic Spider-Verse and Movie Spider-Verse are opposites of each other. One has clear love for the Spider-Man mythos and all the different variations of him are given the same love. While the other seems Hell Bent on bringing so many versions of Spider-Man just so they can kill them off in the most violent way possible. I don’t think you can call yourself a Spider-Man fan if you take joy in watching these characters die, and not for a significant story reason like Movie SV with Miles’s Peter, but just for the shock of seeing a version of Spider-Man you could have potentially grown up with lie dead by some stupid OP Spider-Vampires.

If I were to describe Dan Slott in a single word, it would be "edgelord". If I were to describe his writing in a meme, it would be: "Drew like a dark, fucked up version of the Spider-Man haha. Just a glimpse into my dark reality. A full stare into my twisted perspective would make most simply go insane Imao." Dan Slott is an edgy subversive in a never-ending sea of edgy subversives. He is the comic book equivalent of all those people who make cheap, low-effort horror flicks every time an innocent children's character becomes public domain, with the only difference being that he masks his low-effort, shock value emo poetry as some deep, contemplative dive into human psyche.

UMvC3 almost had Doc Ock as a playable character. The only reason he didn't make it in is because his arms were glitchy

I'm surprised you didn't mention the clone saga any bit of this. Not only does Peter reference is clones in his dialogue with super skrull, his alternate color in that game is the Scarlet Spider suit.

I'm surprised you didn't mention any of his costumes as possible hints of what might've happened in this universe. For example, he has the Future Foundation suit in 3, so that's a part of this universe, and Spider-Man was a member at one point. I do wish we saw more of his extended cast. Venom's the only one that's been playable. There were plans for Doc Ock in 3, but that didn't happen due to his arms being glitchy. I think I remember hearing that Green Goblin was planned for MvCI at one point, but those plans obviously fell through. He does get a reference in that game though, as Spider-Man's new level 3 in that game has GG throw razors at him from off-screen, so that's something at least.

I think the Morlum sh!t was retcon as a variant, as a bunch of other spiders from that event were as well, i dont hate the dude and i do like superior but jesssss if Dan can be insuferable at times As for MVC Pete heres to hope see him more in the future, hes preaty kwel

Despite never played the games, this game series was 1st time i saw Shuma-Gorath, whom is a multiversal being, but there is a poison version of Shuma-Gorath and 2 become that means a (venom) symbiote merged 1st and than a poison being absorbed them both. Shuma-Gorath almost wasn't used for 1 of Marvel Vs Capcom games, because Marvel didn't want him in game. They wanted 2 use him for Dr Strange 2, but weren't allowed, so they only used his look and given name of a diff entity. There is a Lady Gorath, whom does look like Shuma-Gorath, but with blue lipstick, it is unkown if they r same being in diff points of life or 2 diff beings and if latter r they siblings, parent/child, etc, Shuma-Gorath does have a offspring named Quoggoth. Dan Slott isn't the only 1 whom hate Marvel stuff, al ewing is another, he seems 2 hate the Beyonders and really want 2 ruin what Hickman have done.

Honestly as much as I like a few things that Dan Slott did ("Spider Island" was not that Bad and "The End of the Earths" was probable his peak) the man is just traying to hard to be seen as THE Spiderman writer.
