Splatoon is the best community I've ever been in honestly. Without it I wouldnt know the amazing friends I do today. Been with it since Splatoon 1, it means so much to me. I love the memories of these past few years and cant wait to make new ones with Splatoon 3
I feel sorry for the people who didn't play Splatoon 1. This game was so badass, the music, the Special... you couldn't quit every Special like in Splatoon 2. I love this, i have to go back too!

I remember seeing this game for the first time as a demo in best buy. I absolutely loved the concept of being able to turn into a squid and swim around in ink, and for the longest time I’d asked to have it. My parents told me to wait until another console came out or the wii dropped in price, I’m glad I did wait because soon enough I had the switch and am now an avid Splatoon2 player anticipating the third installment with the rest of the community. Can’t wait
Splatoon one is my favorite video game of all time. I remember beating all of the story mode after not playing it for months. So many memories and the community was always so cool.
Dude I miss some of these maps so much, they’re so big and have so many different levels and floors and wow they’re so cool and dynamic and I forgot how cool they were

I missed Splatoon 1 every day. I honestly hope the third one feels the same in weight as this one. Every time I pick up Splatoon 2 everything feels weightless and weird and made it really hard to get used to. Also, for the love that is everything bring back the grimm range blaster with a kit I like. It hurt to have to be a clash and long range main. lol

It's so sad to think that the mass majority of people who play splatoon 2 have never played the original. Watching this brings back so many memories, not only of my own time playing, but waiting until the next week to see the next "I hate" episode.
I am so sad for the lost maps like Hammerhead Bridge and Mahi Mahi Resort, the music that is now gone, the subs and specials, but especially, the convince of having a map in your lap.
It's unbelievable that Splatoon 1 is still alive. I kinda wish I got a Wii-U back in the day so I could experience the first Splatoon, I remember first hearin about it in 2017 and i really wanted a switch so I could play. December 2020, got a switch. June 2021, got Splatoon. (i had somehow forgot about it all those years)

Owning a Wii U since it came out, the only game I had was Mario and splatoon. I wanted to play the second game of splatoon so bad I saved up all my money for the past 3 years for a switch. Now I have finally bought the switch! I love this franchise.
Never played this Splatoon but the ability that tells you where a bomb is via an exclamation mark is pretty helpful. Especially when you don’t see a bomb around a corner when in Splatoon 2.
The greatest thing that I still miss in splatoon 1 was the losing and winning music. The win theme in splatoon 1 gave us felt so empowering that we won the video game. While on the other hand if you loss the losing music really put the soul crushing defeat into your loss. Something we dont have in splatoon 3 and did not have nearly as impactful in splatoon 2.
Is it just me or does the original Splatoon have a nicer vibe to it? I feel like everything from the way the menus look to how the game looks and feels to play is just so much BETTER than the sequel. Maybe it’s just me being nostalgic though...

i am so glad they are bringing back some of the splatoon 1 speacils in splatoon 3 so i can play them cause we got rid of our wii u for the switch so i am happy for the new spaecils
