Respects from Marietta, GA. Just discovered your channel late last night. I sat up until 2AM watching you videos. You seem to be a great group of friends with a common spirit. I personally ride a BMW 1200RT and never got into HD’s but two wheels are all the same mindset. I ride with my group of friends through the north Georgia mtns and the Smokie Mtns and motocamp in eastern TN and western NC. Your moto-expeditions remind me of our trips here. Keep the positivity and keep the faith! Ride safe!
For sure but you can also buy shock boots at an off road shop for about $6 bucks that slid over the chrome dust shield saving time & money , Plus when you got to sell the bike ,the new owner can cut them off if there not into them ?
Iv been watching your videos for about a year. You guys are amaizing. I am 22 , but have to solo ride all the time because I barely know anyone else with a bike.. I can’t wait to go out on road trips with a group of guys like you one day. Every one of your videos inspires me a little and makes me laugh at some point. KEEP POSTING!!
I like the more slimmer style off the fork, so I would prefer the boots because the Crome covers makes the fork look a lot more muscular. Love the cat edit.
Cool new vid. Yup the boots are my choice too. Glad Young’s bike is back up and on the road again. Can’t wait for the next vid. Take care and ride safe.
Best part of RU-vid, getting to checkout a new vid from LNSPLTBLVD. Many thanks with the update regarding Young and his bike. The sporty is starting to take on the same awesome look as your shovel. I have been running the fork boots for years, but I might be ready for the switch up just for a different look. Either way yours is looking dope. Ride safe, Be safe, and tell Young thanks for the kind words on fb regarding my 84 shovel. Guy Speight
I normally prefer fork boots, but those covers look great with your fenderless forks. I'd think about hitting them with scouring pads to lose the shininess, or possibly even powder coating them. That might be sweet!
im so glad you stuck with the fork boots! chrome covers are sick, but doesn't really seem like your style. always stoked to see how the bike is looking!
i agree with ryan i hate those fork covers plus fork boots keep dust and potentially damaging dirt and debree off of your fork tubes and look super cool thanks for sharing your up dates and progress chris
In a world where everyone "bobs" or "Cafe racer" their sportster and that's all the you see on the east coast, I kept the big wheel on mine. Everyone wants that 48 look. It's Hella played out over here. Your sportster is coming out nice 👌
Like 2 of them, may be the fork covers painted black....Anyway the sporster is getting nicer, like the tyres ,are you gonna put black pipes too?Cheers from France.
Between chrome vs boots= boots all day, BUT I agree with what seems to be the majority and say that powder coating the covers black and maybe also the forks and triple tree would also be a win
Hey Son, if you need some of those lowbrow spacers for those fork shrouds, let me know. Free! Also you can turn those chrome shrouds with some fine wool pads and give it the aluminum look.
The fork covers are kewl, kinda beefy looking, but IMO the fork boots better suit your bike. I wonder how the front end would look with the fork covers if the whole thing was scotch brited out to matte it? Ever think of scotch briting the chromy out on your engine? I like the 19 on the front...it`s what I run, but mine came that way (almost completely stock Ironhead) I like your tire choice too. IT`S LOOKIN GOOD!
Fork covers and lowers powder coated black will look nice and solid in the front end not a fan of the chrome or the boots. Loved the Tony and and Ezekiel insert that was hell funny bro.
Leave the triple trees chrome and black out the forks and the chrome covers. It will start to look better with those black bars and new black wheels. Get a slightly bigger headlight.
I'm a fan of the boots but if u drop the the forks an inch or two so the shroud covers the fork lowers a bit they would look a lot better in my opinion
I run covers with boots... boots are like "dust covers" u use them with hose clamps and put that cover on. but paint them dark lead color... thank me later lol. I'd black out the entire bike... some parts lead and some black. one or two accents of "bling bling"
Definitely the boots. Please can you provide the info for where you got your wheels powder-coated in SJ? Do they also do wheel rebuilds (i.e. new spokes)? Thanks.
I like the covers over the boots if it was powder coated. Most sportsters out there have boots. I need a jack like that. Where is a good place to get one?
just in case you wana go lower suspensions at the rear i got a 10” shocks (black) laying around in my garage from my sporty. it would look slammed to the ground specially when you chop those fender. just hit me up bruh im in Milpitas. BTW another sick build 🤙🏼
Hey man sorry for the random question, but I was looking to buy a jack for my 03 sporty. Does that center jack work to lift both wheels off the ground? Want a jack to take my wheels to get powder coated and just something reliable to do maintenance with and really been struggling to see what works.
