The author of the series has said that he places the series in a fictionalized version of the 60's in the middle of the Cold War in Europe, when people were extremely paranoid about spies infiltrating their mundane lives and disturbing their peace. Calling the police on someone for being suspiciously single was a fairly normal thing back then, and so was gossiping about spies.
@@thewoodpilereacts5359 being new in the neighborhood, being distant with the neighbors, going out at odd hours, coming home at odd hours... the list was practically endless. basically, back then, reporting someone as suspicious had the same energy as canceling someone today.
You'll find that when it comes to Loid and Yor, love is truly blind with those two. They don't question why the other does things that aren't normal. Then again, as the story unfolds, you find out why this is all normal to them.
The Briar's are an odd bunch., some of your questions about them will be offered later. Most we don't know for sure like exactly age of Yor starting being an assassin, but it's assumed she started at like 11/12. Her nativity could be from dropping out of school, again don't know. 7 year gap in age between Yor and her brother. So she has been raising him for 15+ years.
@@thewoodpilereacts5359 in japnese sub Yor seems like more of a introvert ,shy and soft spoken but in english dub she feels like more of a dominating one and Anay's voice is more cuter in japnese sub....
Huh, so Episode 2 really did cover just Chapter 2 as well, understandable since Chapter 2 i think is probably the second longest Manga Chapter i ever read with 55 Pages, but now leaves the Question of how many Chapters Episode 3 and any future Episode will cover since Chapter 3 is only 27 Pages and pretty much all of the Chapters from here on out is usually somewhere around 25 Pages, based on the Preview it seems Episode 3 will also only cover Chapter 3, like Episode 1 only covered Chapter 1 and Episode 2 only covered Chapter 2, so that really just leaves any Future Episode after 3 in the dark, at least for now, I really wonder how they intend to cover the rest of the Manga from here on out, i also wonder if any of the Extra Chapters will be covered at some point as well, i can’t wait to find out how they’ve done it.
Both have their good points in my opinion, but maybe is because I like to watch it in different languages, so far: Jap dub, eng dub, spanish dub and portugues dub (that one has some weird names and stuff but still interesting)...
Hm, I don’t know if this is because of me usually watching the Sub, but while the Voices themselves are okay, I can’t help but to feel that the English Dub just doesn’t go as into it as the Japanese Dub does, Hm, actually, speaking of which, are you a Dub Exclusive Channel or have you watched the Sub of certain Anime at times? I forgot.
@@simontide6780 Man, you Sub people are obnoxious. The Dub is good, there are plenty of good dubs, if you don't like it, there are plenty of channels that react to the subs.
@@imaran1303 I agree this dub is good, however this is one time I'm reading the manga and watching the sub for the anime. I've found that the dub script is changed to the point of missing things. Minor Spoilers ahead...... For instance, Bond arc (both sub and chapter 22), when Loid holds his forearm, in the sub he thinks "even with stab proof fabric this hurts..." No mention of that in the dub. He's just holding his arm thinking about something else. It throws that scene off.
Most of the reactors don't like gory animes and that's why we haven't done it. If we ever do react to it, it will probably only be Alexa and maybe Anna.
