No excuse for her rudeness. So many people have sad life stories and they don’t behave this way.

So glad Lori got to the root of the problem. So glad the bridesmaids were understanding. I couldn’t imagine going through my wedding without my mother’s help.

In my opinion there’s really no excuse to act this way. My mom isn’t here and we never had a healthy relationship. I still can’t imagine talking to people, especially my own friends this way. It’s just unacceptable.

The printed blue dress Laura picked out for her wedding has aged way better than the dress this bride picked. Very 2008.

She told us her bridesmaids were unsupportive… that was a lie. Now her mom is being “neglectful” of the wedding planning hmmm something tells me that isn’t the full truth either.

Feel bad for the brides future husband..she's allowed to have opinions..but has no class taking her pain out on her closest friends

I do think yellow is a very BOLD choice in any dress. However, there is usually always a compromise and the bride did not go about it the right way.

I think we should also give props to Brandon for being the one to notice that this was more than just about dresses. Sometimes we can tell what is wrong but we don't have the tools or knowledge to get to the complete bottom of it and that is why we rely on our elders to give us that guidance. It's also why this bride is so hurt by her mom not being there, cause she was looking to have her opinion too cause she values it.

I truly feel for this bride. When my mom got married she did a destination wedding in las Vegas and didn't even invite me. Then when i attempted to plan my own wedding she wanted no part of it. I ended up eloping with my husband because the stress of family not wanting to have any part on ether side was really starting to get too both of us. Eloping was so much easier and stress free. Do I wish I had that special day with my mom and both families? Yes, of course I do. Do I wish I had that moment or that dress? Yes! But I would rather sacrifice one day in order to have many more peaceful future ones with the love of my life and less strife between loved ones.

She's now been married for about 11 years, and they're pregnant. She seems to have lots of friends and a good relationship with her mom. I'd like to hear more from her about this drama.

Wouldn't it be better to work this out before shopping.

So the bride doesn't like when the girls nicely say they don't like yellow, but is allowed to attack the dress she wore in her friends wedding? Smells like hypocrisy to me.

I get it. I have a really unsupportive mother who put a stink on every aspect of my wedding. But I'd never think to treat my friends like this. This bride is very lucky to have these ladies as her friends.

Again, as I've said before, if I was there and had someone behaving that way, I'd just walk.

I wore a yellow dress as my sister's matron of honor. I loved that dress so much! It was a creamy buttery yellow that looked beautiful on all of the bridesmaids.

I'm not surprised her mum doesn't want to get involved. She's probably been shopping with Little Miss Spiteful before and knows how it will go.

The best decision I made for my wedding was sending my bridesmaids and maid of honour (all sisters who live out of town) the basic colours of the wedding and telling them to each find a dress that that particular person could re-wear. There were five dresses on five women, all of them different, and it was perfect! They looked stunning, everyone, and none of them looked out of place. They also, as it was around Christmas, carried simple hurricane candle holders with one candle each. It was like a fairytale.

Lori handled that beautifully.

Yellow is a tough color for a lot of people to pull off. I’m fair and yellow just makes me look monochromatic.

My mom did nothing for my wedding. Thankful for my MIL. But I did it all myself.

If the bride had so much nasty words to say about her bridesmaid then it's best she cancelled the wedding until her mom support her decision to get married because it's not her bridesmaids fault

I wanted all of my bridesmaids in thr same dress, same color, but I *made sure* they all felt good in the dress. The dress we all picked everyone cried over bc they all looked so gorgeous. We were blessed to find a dress that complimented everyone's body type and a color that looked good on everyone. It was important to me that they felt good in the dress

There is simply no excuse for hurling abuse at people. Whatever the reason you're hurting, you can't treat people like that. There's no guarantee people will continue to give you chances and opportunities tp repeat the offenses.

Friends and family only know what you till them! If you don't tell they can't help with what you need! Lori you do a great job with your brides and the folks you work with...

So she purposefully chooses a color that she knows is difficult to work with and that all the bridesmaids collectively hate, and then proceeds to call every yellow dress awful and makes fun of the color...? Something seems fishy. Especially when she said "That's why you stuck me in that horrible dress" she was DEFINITELY projecting. She is just a rude person. No excuses.

I really don't think she meant to attack them, but in the moment she was projecting a lot of her anger and frustration at them because they didn't look like her idea of perfect, so she felt out of control. She's human, but I am glad she was called out. I hope her day went well and she felt supported, she seems to have great friends that support her.

My best friend would NEVER take that kind of abuse from me. We are like sisters…. No excuses I’m sorry.

My brides maids dresses were hand made. I told them go find a pattern you like, keeping in mind my 8 yr old niece (Jr. brides maid) would be wearing the same dress and that's what we'll go with. They were happy with them. We did the same when my maid of honor got married. The only difference between the MOH and Bridemaid were the flowers.

If I was a bridesmaid, I would wear WHATEVER the bride wanted me to wear, I wouldn’t give any feedback, I’d just do it because it’s HER wedding.

That bride was so manipulative

The bride was like a toddler having a temper tantrum. Using such harsh language against her best friends is inexcusable. Yet, they forgave her. She should kearn from them. One hopes she communicates better with her future husband, or they are in for a rough ride.

Yellow is an appallingly hard color to wear. It takes a particular complexion to carry off yellow, and not many people have it. My mother wasn't really interested in helping me plan anything. She was still processing the grief of my dad passing away, so I pretty much did it by myself. I wish she had been more supportive, but in the end, I paid for my dress, so I picked what I wanted, even though she wasn't crazy about it. I looked at a lot of bridesmaids dresses to find one I felt would be flattering to both my bridesmaids, and that they could wear again. My sister wore her dress later for several voice recitals, and received many compliments on it. Lori's been doing this job long enough to know when something's up.

PEOPLE WHO R HURTING/HAVE BEEN HURT OFTEN R FORCED TO KEEP IT ALL CLOSED UP UNTIL UNFORTUNATELY THEY EXPLODED + OTHER PEOPLE/ SOME 1 ELSE ENDS UP UNHAPPY+EVEN SHOCKED.

These are AWESOME bridesmaids. I had two bridesmaids and one of them is the sweetest person you’d ever meet and the other… she was my maid of honor. She insulted my ring calling it cheap, didn’t give a speech (the other one did), always tried to make everything about her, and just wasn’t a good friend to begin with. I regret making her my maid of honor. She never deserved it.

I soon changed my mind about this group once Lori stepped in smoothed things over and built a bridge. I hope the bride has an outstanding wedding day and her marriage is a long and happy one.

I do feel bad for these bridesmaids, as much pain she may be feeling towards her mom she can not project it like this to her friends. She has an incredibly supportive group of friends there that are willing to give her their all and she throws it back in their faces and it must have been incredibly embarrassing for them. Hoping this is just a very stressed out bride and she is nicer to them outside of the wedding planning

I lost my dad in 2012 and ive never treated anyone bad due to his passing and my pain. If she talked to me like that, im out of the wedding

These girls all needed this, this appointment was about far more than finding a bridesmaid dress. Lori should be a psychologist, she’s so amazing! If I ever get the chance to get married, my dream is to find my dress at this store, even though it would mean flying to the other side of the world to do it! ♥️♥️

Nope. The bride is using her problems to justify her toxic envy. A malevolent narc. Hope she understands and corrects her attitude. The bridesmaids were just too good.

There's no excuse to treat your friends badly. If any woman in my family had been spoken to the way this bride spoke to her friends, we'd be out of that bridesmaid dress and out the door. No one should ever accept being treated disrespectfully unless he/she has actively invited it with bad behavior of their own. Maybe the mother didn't want to be involved because she's not a fan of her daughter's nasty personality.

I completely understand the Bride with the whole Mother thing. That's exactly how it is with me. It really hurts too. But of course that's no excuse to be nasty to those there to support you. Prayers for her though. It's definitely a VERY HARD place to be in. And hurts VERY MUCH.
