I remember back in the 60s when cassette tape recorders came out that I would record my favorite tunes from the radio with the recorder's microphone-the recordings were awful. I see people are now using their phones to record television shows! The results are similar.
Spock being tried and tested, in the worse ways possible! Having to take care of 5 critical situations at once and sending the poor red shirts to their death, and having to decide who leaves and who stays behind! But in the end everything turned out ok, cuz spock took a chance!
Talk about some disastrous Starfleet policy-- sending all three of your valuable commanding officers on a risky research mission instead of using probes or simply a smaller, lesser-ranking crew. *sheesh*
