Great comment. Disney should just sell Star Wars to Elon Musk who can then make Star Wars droids from the movie. Not toys I mean the REAL ones since he already has the Optimus worker robot out now. Imagine if Elon mass produced an r2D2? Instant money from rich nerds.. These droids would accompany peopel to space tours to keep them entertained.

@@kevinfisher5492I mean there were Star Wars fans that bullied Lucas during the prequel era, but I’m not getting into that because yes I grew up with the prequels and original trilogy and I thought it was cool seeing Lucas connect the dots from 1-6, even the 2003 Clone Wars miniseries was kickass. So in a way it was the fans why Lucas sold the franchise to Disney because you know he didn’t want to make a new trilogy if he was gonna be bullied for it, and this is the mess Star Wars gotten into now and the fandom is split to the core where the “Disney Star Wars” fans look and act like a cult.

No, they realize it. In fact, they rely on it. It's a key feature in establishment takeover. Something these people are very, very good at. Running things, no. They'll never be any good at that, but even if the organization fails entirely, that doesn't matter much to them. Scorched Earth, you know? Doctor Who+ Star Trek have also become woke leftist abominations. when the real fans included everyone, then offered no resistance as they were taken over. fandom should not be exclusionary but the fans should be more frugal and willing not to financially support things they know to be bad. so they die in the opening Salvo and don't continue until what is loved is destroyed. I haven't paid a single dime for any Star Wars merchandise since it's sale and deletion of the expanded universe in 2014.

😂 hollyweird has yet to understand that forcing dei into EVERY SINGLE PROJECT is the most gawdy ham-fisted approach ever, which fails to please anyone more often than not… it’s basically the saying, “If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail”. Somehow they think “inclusion” means it’s a tool fit for any and every situation so they continue to aimlessly bludgeon everyone over the head with it without any consideration of the end results - eg bad reviews, plummeting stocks, etc etc the audacity of KK’s over-arching “force is female” concept has proven to be pretty much a completely crazy direction to lead the lucasfilm brand, when you consider that annoying space witches are only the latest blunder in the long line of these failed shows and movies … * the point being - the force is a metaphysical energetic property beyond any concept of gender… so basically coming into a boy’s brand focused on lazer weapons and literal WAR [in the title], and somehow trying to feature feminist agendas as a major part of that equation is lunacy…

If Disney hadn't lied at the outset with the obvious bit of gaslighting that was: "Acolyte is a show with wide appeal, so anyone who doesn't like it must be an istaphobe", then this would have all blown over. Imagine if Disney had just admitted the truth: "It's a story with a limited audience". But just like in any sport, the referee only sees the retaliation, and the instigator gets away with it. The reality though is that people hate being lied to...and lied about. So a lot of fans are letting it be known that they had no interest in a "gay, subversive, female-centered, socially-focused" Star Wars show in the first place.

I was in that line in 1983. Outside the AVCO theater in Los Angeles when the movie premiered. Midnight showing. The first. I was 5th back from the doors. I can tell you that the people in that line were every color there is and all of us loved Star Wars like maniacs. We waited for almost 24 hours in a line that went around the block. We didn't care. It was pure fun. We played Frisbee catch in the middle of Wilshire Blvd at 3am. We were a big family. How far things have changed. Now Star Wars isn't made for us.

Seems her lies caught up to her and she swapped to that fan art self insert instead and that video might have been the tipping point that got her to break down and confess. I try to see everything through people's eyes like I did with the comically woke X-Men 97 and it is clear that anyone dedicating their life to identity politics has got some deep-seeded issues. As a former Kool aid drinking leftist I know how great it feels to be "in the right side of history" as the message looks good on paper but the scales of shitty behavior tips way more on the woke side because that side tends to attract sensitive. I've read the views for Acolyte worldwide are lower than Asoka's in just the US. Not that Asoka's were great but if true that's dismal. Disney + world audiences are not interested in internal political infighting and the more 'diversity' (all we see is Americans unless they're not), pronouns, one sided political talking points etc they insert, the more likely we won't watch as it becomes very clear we're not the audience. Actors are now considered by many, and that number is growing, as being, "Adult Pretenders" who are dispatched to do the bidding of the studios to promote terrible films, terrible projects, and insult the intelligence of an entire audience. There WERE way more of us, and by us I mean Star Wars fans. For people like me, Star Wars died when Luke did. If they were going to kill him off, it needed to be in blaze of glory as he truly showed off his power surrounded by those he loved and who loved him. His death needed to mean something. Unfortunately dying alone after a force projection that accomplished nothing was too much for his fans to bear and people like me were done with Star Wars. I haven't watched a movie or episode since despite being a huge fan all my life. I’m Australian. Marvel took 20 films to “include” my continent, and when it finally did it didn’t “include” a single one of us. But I saw Star Wars in 77 and loved it because it explored universal themes that “included” everyone, without constantly shoving people into prejudicial boxes then trying to leverage that for power.

The fans of George's Star Wars are going to have to admit and accept what I did long ago -- Disney Star Wars is not made for us, nor is pretty much anything coming out of the Entertainment industry these days. We need to let go of it, abandon trying to "fix" it, it is dead and gone. We need to move on and find or better yet, create something new for ourselves. They hate us, as they always have and we can't change that. Put your energies into creating something else.

In my life, I have been a fan of Star Wars, Marvel. DC, Dr. Who, Star Trek, The Muppet's, Godzilla, Disney, Horror, and countless other things. I went to them because I wanted stories to give me a break from my real life. I wanted to laugh, be inspired, even cry, because that's what these things are supposed to do for us. And the best feeling was finding ANYONE that shared that interest; it was like being in another country and finding someone that spoke your language. No one cared that I was a white male, and I didn't care what the other person was, because we had a shared bond without knowing each other. I saw it going to conventions, where I could make a gesture to a person from another country and they would return it with a smile. Where I could talk happily with total strangers about the thing we loved. And these people dare say that all of that wasn't for everyone? All I can say to them is this. If you had come to us, we would've accepted you. Because we've been doing that for a long time.

I saw it in the theater in 1977 and have seen every movie in the theaters and own copies of every movie and remasters but no Disney Star Wars. As a kid I bought everything Star Wars. Today I only buy non Disney Star Wars merch. I have seen Disney Star Wars for criticism purposes from sources they can't metric or profit from. I stopped watching completely when Ahsoka dropped. I have seen every Lucas movie over 100 times, I have never watched anything Disney Star Wars more than once or had any desire to do so. For me Star Wars died with the Disney purchase. Disney decided to f*** around and are about to find out.

The best example of diversity is game of thrones. Each race represents its own geographical background; even though it's fictional the genetic diversity did not exist in that time line and game of thrones nailed representing different races. It's like having a panda and then replacing him with a polar bear... just stupid! If you write well and represent characters in a way that makes sense, then there wouldn't be a need to force it on us, we all would just accept it...

That's what they should've attempted with ROP if they had to do it. Plonking 'one of each' in every village, town and race i.e. elves, dwarves etc makes no bloody sense. As a UK born Aussie, I was totally insulted by it. Especially hobbit replacements with dodgy Irish accents portrayed as prepared to dump any who couldn't keep up when Irish travellers in the UK exist and never would. 'Wanted villages/ers similar to serfs in medieval Manchester' or similar. The area is considered a bit lower down the totem pole than other places yet we got 'no offence meant'. Sacking the Tolkien expert who would've warned you??? Virtue signalling matters more than insulting the culture of real people.

There is way more of us who love the franchise for what it was back before that vile rat got it's gloved mitts on the company that held the franchise. We are here and always will be here, but only for what made it great before the dark times. We are legion against a small squad. Let us stand together and let our voices be heard. That Matthew Stover quote! Ever since George Lucas started nuking his own legacy with the Midichlorian and Jar-Jar-Bung BS, I knew SW as a brand and universe was doomed. I couldn't speak or rant or rage or even reminisce about the wanton destruction. The YuzhanVong and NJO series had its own "Multi-verse" run. But EU was truly the best to preserve the George Lucas SW legacy. Darkhorse had something but that too didnt last either. Sadly to me, SW ended with the birth of Jacen, Jaina and Anakin Solo. And Luke and Mara's wedding. Truce at Bakura, The Rogue Squadron series, the Thrawn run, Old-Republic and New-Republic some of the strange stories in-between. All frozen in time, while SW is destroyed by a thousand cuts. No one will ever pickup this creation or in-this-universe. Not after what has come to pass so far.

The movie trilogy The Four from about 10 years ago had a pretty decent line in the 2nd and 3rd movies - "where there is light, there are shadows" representing the dark night of one of the heroes, followed up by "where there are shadows, there is light" which is meant to represents the heroine's friends having her back when she needed it against the mastermind of the entire trilogy in an epic final, epic boss fight with both strong men AND women on both sides. They simply don't make them (movies) like that anymore.
