Just wanna hop on and say I enjoy your videos man! I got my CDL last year, then trained and drove w TMC for a few months. The money just wasn’t there as a company driver (at least not for my needs). So, I’m back working shift work in the plants down in Louisiana. What I miss most about driving was the constant sense of adventure! Please keep the videos coming! Maybe one day I’ll grab a truck and get back in the game. Cheers!
Thank you! Happy to hear you are enjoying the videos. As a company driver, you’re not going to make the same as an owner, also depends what company you work for and what they pay. The videos will keep coming. 👍🏻
lol…..I come to the videos for the Doughnut reviews. I enjoy the hotshot parts also. One of the best channels for hotshot I found so far. Staying fit allows you to eat like this…..cheat meals are must.
am I the only one still amazed Alex can pound 6-12 donuts and never gain any weight. haha. love it. vibrations could be driveline in the truck. and it may be dependent on trying to pull more weight where it'll vibrate more.
I think I narrowed the vibration down to trailer tires being worn down a bit uneven. They do have 120k miles on them. Almost time for new ones. The more donuts you eat the leaner you get 😁👍🏻🤣
Seeing a guy as ripped as you destroy these donuts gives the rest of us hope that we, too, can be just as ripped and muscular-we just have to believe in the power of the donut! 🤣🍩 In all seriousness, these donuts do look amazing. If I’m ever in El Paso, I’m definitely stopping here!
Yes! The donuts are full of carbs which will give you lots of energy to lift heavy in the gym 😁 I do eat very strict through out the week though so I can afford that cheat day on the weekend. Those donuts were very delicious but not the best I’ve had 😁🍩👍🏻
Thank you! Happy to hear you enjoy the videos. Being a driver has positive and negative like any other job. Seeing new places and for me visiting new food places are the positives but when you sit with no work that kinda sucks and makes you feel depressed. But being your own boss is great.
@@M_A_Double_T I honestly don’t know what the reason is for this. There has always been lots of competition but there has been plenty of loads for everyone. The market is bad right now for everyone. Semi truck, hotshots. Same thing everyone is feeling it. Prices are horrible. Brokers trying to pocket a big chunk of the money and not wanting to pay the drivers what they deserve.
Something to make bunji cords not tangled up get ya a piece of 4 inch pvc pipe cut in half 22 inches each then hook your bunjis no more fish hooking anything
I looked at the tires and I don’t see any bulges or anything out of the ordinary. I have a feeling I do have a slight rear end vibration at same speed just in the truck with no trailer. Maybe when the trailer is hooked up it amplifies it.
What's up Alex, leaving Wichita KS in the am heading to PA. Really enjoy watching you eat those donuts, however, I think I've gained 35 lbs doing so.😂 Can you please go on a diet? My pants don't fit anymore... 😅😅
Hey David, how are you? Thanks funny about putting on 35lb just from watching 🤣 Being on the road for so long I think that’s what keeps me sane. I always look forward to the weekend so I can do this. Otherwise this job would be boring. 😁 Be safe on the road.
Happy to hear that you are enjoying the food portion of the video. I definitely don’t plan to stop showing it just because one or two people say they don’t want yo see it. Like you said, fast forward through it if you don’t like it 😁👍🏻
Those are the best looking donuts you’ve shown. Dunkin had a toasted coconut that I LOVED but then they stopped making donuts in store and had them delivered by truck so I hardly ever see them anymore 😢
Dunkin’ Donuts are too dry. They are one of the worst that I’ve ever tried. These donuts on the other hand were soft and moist and very delicious. I could barely eat 5. Usually I can do better at eating them. Maybe it was one of those days. Although taste wise Parlor Donuts are my favorite. They are croissant donuts.
@@Mr.AlexKogan all we have in my area is Dunkin and we just got a Krispy Kreme a few years ago. We don’t have anything close to the ones that you show. But Dunkin is very dry. Since the Krispy Kreme opened I haven’t been back
Can you make a video on your insurance costs and pros and cons of cdl non cdl insurance. I heard 20k yearly is min on insurance if i go commercial. But again watching on youtube university some hotshot chaneel non cdl/cdl mentioning 200-350$ max monthly insurance: thats a huge difference compared to 20k yearly. Not sure whats the catch here .if i am not wrong i believe you did mention somewhere about 20k+ insurance premiums. Could you clarify on that please. Appreciate what you do to make a living. Soon Moving into from Canada
CDL or Non CDL, it’s still commercial insurance for truck and trailer and cargo. It will never be $300-350 a month. It will be more than $1000 per month for sure. Anyone tell you that pay $350 a month, they are full of it.
Anything is possible, depending how lucky you’ll get with a load but you would have to stay local. Honestly with this market it may be tough and your income will be very minimal.
I’m gonna have to stop at that place in El Paso now. I got two donut shops. I need to stop but I don’t know if I can do that much damage you impressed me
Do you live near there or will you be passing by? There was another donut place like one mile away from the one I went to that had awesome looking donuts but I went crazy and bought 12 at this one but couldn’t finish them. Just wasn’t my usual donut day.
@@Mr.AlexKogan Tucson but i’m stuck over here in Baltimore right now until I wrap up my military career then I’ll be able to jump in the Dually and go full-time so that’s why I’m trying to learn right now, your videos are the best that I’ve seen very detailed, well done, straight to the point, and I really hope all the success for you and the business
@@tg9388 Thank you! Really means a lot to me to know you are enjoying the videos. I’m actually in Tucson right now as we speak 😁 Actually really hard to get out of here. No loads at all. Everything is crazy cheap. Under $1 per mile.
@@Mr.AlexKogan that’s exactly why I’m thinking about doing the hotshot out of Baltimore versus Arizona because I know I’m gonna have issues with the load and I’m thinking about having two different types of trailers as I can afford it one for 30,000 pounds little bit shorter for more construction vehicles, and then another 53 footer little bit lighter but longer of course I’ll have to start out with one of the trailers. I’m not sure which one has more success getting loads on this East Coast over here. I’m guessing something similar to what you have so I’m looking at the PJ and diamond see trying to get all the pricing and configuration stuff straight.
@@tg9388 Baltimore will definitely be a better area to pick up loads. 40” is the most popular trailer size. In my opinion 53” is overkill unless you have a specific need for it. Diamond C is an awesome trailer if you can go that route. They are pretty expensive but very nice.
hey alex and others im 18 years old about to turn 19 i love trucks and have always loved hauling stuff im think of going into hothsot but am scared to pull the trigger and getting a truck and trailer a lot of people say its good and bad and tips and suggestions i love driving and am hard working just scared to pull the trigger just to fail
You're worried about failing but, remember this... You can not succeed if you do not try. Famous old quote. I would say to keep watching as many videos that pertain to what you want to do. see exactly what you find yourself saying, I can do that or I'm not sure about that. make a list. Similar to a pros and cons list. Talk with as many drivers as you can, even if they are tractor trailer drivers. It is in many ways quite similar to hotshot. If you can get a ride along with a driver, that would be great help to you.
Definitely would be great if you can ride along with someone and get the feel of what it’s like. Maybe try securing a load as well. I believe the hardest part for you and anyone beginning is investing into a truck, trailer, all the equipment and all the fees associated with registering your company. Paying for commercial insurance before you can even hit the road. All of these expenses are the hardest part of this job in the beginning.
It’s definitely not the best part of Texas. Too congested and kinda dirty but there are definitely some good areas. Not my favorite spot but it was on the way 😁
I couldn’t either when I first begin but I’ve slowly progressed my technique and now I feel like a pro although in this video I felt like a rookie because I barely finished 5 🤣
@@willieslawncareservice.8436 Everyone prefers to see different things and a lot of my viewers say they enjoy seeing the food portion of the video as well. I’m not going to stop doing it just because one or two people said they don’t want see it. No disrespect towards you either.
