I love this because his vocals are usually overshadowed by the awesome guitar skills. He's got a great blues voice. 12 string, wow.

#PatrolGaming I could see his fingers ... it's just they were a complete blur. I don't think it mattered what SRV played. He could play the radio and it would still be phenomenal, his talent was infinite. I noticed the video is from (January) 1990, the year he passed.

My absolute favorite song of SRV is one you can listen to on RU-vid, but sadly it is only on tribute videos as an actual video of him performing it doesn't exist. It was released after he passed. Check out "Life by the Drop" It's a song about his struggles with substance abuse. Sad he beat that monster, only to die a short time later. I've seen his brother Jimmy in concert many times, yet I never got to see Stevie. Had tickets to his next concert, that never was. I was one of millions devastated by his loss, yet his music lives on and that gives me some comfort

You have to be damn near an alien to play a 12 string like this. Yep... this is back when musicians on MTV were actually talented. They actually MADE music... with their hands. Not an algorithm or keyboard. SRV was like "I'll show em...haha... I'll bust their ass with a 12 string." LMAO

The simple truth is, he was just as good on an acoustic (including 6 or 12 strings) as he was on his beloved stratocasters. I'm truly convinced he could have strapped 6 (or 12) strings to a log and made them sound heavenly.

Hey Patrol Gaming, I just found ur site 2day, u have great taste, mate, keep 'em coming. Noone can compare 2 SRV. Yeah, 12 string, like that, remarkable. I stood in front of him , 8 ft away for 2 hrs the nite he was killed. My ol man and I cried all the way home the next day. I think of him evry day. As far as Derek Trucks, he started playing w/ ABB When he was 9 yrs. Chech out performance of ABB live @ the Orpheum Theater in 2011 covering Vanorrison's " Into The Mystic. It's impressive, haunting 2 the point of tears. Also , check out the new version of ABB, called the Allman Betts Band, new single, on world tour now. Gregg's son, Devon on lead, has Dad Gregg's voice w/ uncle Duane's guitar chops, and Bett's son, Duane, on dueling lead. Berry Oakly's son on bass. Initials of band are still ABB, ironically. These cats r as good as there daddy's and selling out all over US. Talk 2 u again. Keep it comin'! Luv and thx from California and Chicago.

That was a great one Patrol Gaming😄. It makes me sad in a way because it reminds me just how much I miss the late, great Stevie Ray Vaughan 😪. You mentioned the Allman Brothers Band near the end of this reaction video, and I recently watched your reaction to their song "Whipping Post". Did you know that guitarist Duane Allman and bassist Berry Oakley were both tragically killed about 1 year apart, and about 3 blocks from one another in motorcycle accidents? I was fortunate enough to see them live 2 times. The last time I saw them was a show at the Minnesota State Fair. They were fantastic 😄. That particular version of the band featured Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes on guitars, and they tore the place down!!! Derek Trucks is the nephew of Butch Trucks, who was one of the original drummers of the Allman Brothers Band. On that MTV show with SRV, Joe Satriani also appeared ... I'm waiting for your reaction to Satriani's live version of his instrumental song "Always with Me, Always with You"😊. And yes, that Jules guy on that MTV show was a dick😝. Thanks for the great reaction videos💖.

Yes Jules Scher was obnoxious. Also it was eerie that Stevie had a flight to catch. But all that aside, it continues to amaze me how he took an acoustic 12 string and electrified it with this playing dexterity to the point where it sounded like an electric guitar.

Dude (bloke) you play some super music....keep it up the numbers will certainly grow if you keep playing great music like Stevie Ray and others....Southern soul, blues, country and gospel are all great no matter the race of the entertainer....one suggestion, look into some Al Green from back in the day....middle aged people such as myself and millennials need to learn what soul music was like when Black men and women actually sang songs instead of rapping them....a whole generation of todays kids don't have a clue how great Al Green, Johnny Cash, The BAND, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band were in their day, the days when there wasn't a machine that put your voice in perfect tone, it was done by talent and talent alone
