Look into Solasta: Crown of the Magister, its another game that lets you create your party from the start. It is based on D&D 5e, which is an easier ruleset to get into, especially compared to the Pathfinder games.

I am only level six and the options for skills are great. Starting off as having four ranger summoners and two tanks evolved into having two primary summoner, two tanks, a jack of all trades ranger, and a sniper that can do massive damage after a few turns. The fact that you can customize everything make it where the starting "class" is just there for new people (while advance players can just rearrange the stats). Some other things that weren't mentioned: -There is a pick a route mechanic that is fun (something like Darkest Dungeon). It was a somewhat recent update (within the past few weeks) so any play thru older than December shan't have that aspect. -The difficulty scales with the size of your party. When I first started, I only had one person in my party. I now play with six (which is the max) and you can really tell the difference. -After each boss fight, you return to town (to buy/sell/etc.) When you go to the portal, you choose which mission you want to do (usually a story mission that has a min level needed and three other random missions to help you level up and get loot). You can chose how difficult you want the mission as it ask you what level you want the enemies be (default is your party level). -No perma death. If one of your heroes dies in a fight, whenever you win (or run away) and return back to the map, they are back with some health. -The only major thing (for me) that they do absolutely need in the game is a help/tutorial menu (the first part with the fight in town and then when the wizard buffs you up is the "tutorial" section but having just a basic glossary of terms and what each image means would be quite helpful). There is a discord server for everyone that can help but the game itself should have it.

There's a lot of stuff in this game that is basically a direct copy of other games. There's music that sounds like it's right out of hollow knight too.

@@PayThePiper247 I have no problem with game developers copying features or elements from other games, the first Mass Effect was a great example of how that can work well when done right. Maybe I am overly judgmental since it feels to me that they've done it poorly, the music feels "Wannabe" rather than having an authentic soul(e). I hope you'll excuse the pun. 😁

Even adding individual colour motifs to the armour would help a lot. Or a class symbol on the hat or chest and back that stays between equipment changes.

OK, I had _no_ idea what you guys were talking about. But a quick google search and... it's a song, then? Well-known, apparently? Whoosh! It went right past me. Not too surprising, though, since most of those things do. :)
