Ladies, the relationships you have in your life is a direct reflection of the relationship you have with yourself. For instance- a man pulling away from you is the direct reflection of you pulling away from yourself. You are getting something from them, which you are not able to give yourself. Resulting in you attaching yourself to them to the point where your whole focus is shifted from you and your own life to them.

@@paula9705 No, in that case the other person is. You as a person have some trait that the other person, unconsciously, wants to have in themselves. Being unable to give that to themselves, they seek it from you, to feel complete within themselves. Hence, too attached to you. Love is not obsession and bad attachment. Whenever that is the case, either one or both the partners are feeling incomplete within themselves. The path to true love is completion and fulfillment within oneself.

When you’re fixating, just do something that pulls you out of your obsessive thoughts. Music, podcasts, whatever. I walked my dog while listening to a podcast, and there was no room for intrusive thoughts. I also think about a dream I had as a kid, wherein my favourite toy was destroyed. I was upset initially, and then understood you need to let these things go. When I woke and realized it wasn’t broken, I still felt proud of myself for figuring out how to move on. If there’s something you fixate on a bit too much, imagine it being gone completely. Make peace with that. You don’t know what the future holds, so maybe you can attain that prize, and maybe you can’t. Your worry won’t change that, you might as well have peace.

also if it is to the point that it affects your daily life please seek help as chronic overthinking and catastrophizing are main symptoms of mental illnesses like ocd. if you cant stop on your own dont feel bad because it might not be in your control.

@@cococherrymango1225 it’s normal to still worry about the things that are precious to us, like pets, but if you have an irrational fear of something happening, you may want to see if there are free or well-priced therapists in your area. Panic attacks are not fun. Peace x

I totally agree with you girl 6months ago i got rejected by someone he meant to me alot ive been spending months depressed and scared but then i realized that i am wasting my time on someone who didnt even ask if i am okay or not I started to care about my mentalhealth alot and focusing on my self development and here i am achieving all my goals of the previous year ✌🏻 (by focusing on myself and stop waiting for people to love me and care about me ) I start DATING myself literally

Man, this is so important to those of us with an anxious attachment style due to relationship trauma. I have many times found myself doing "research" to confirm my brain's telling me of my boyfriend pulling away when he is, in fact, NOT AT ALL DOING THAT and is actually just having a rough day. Healing that side of your brain that has been traumatized so much is so so difficult, but so important to do because it affects you AND the relationships you have.

9:30 is literally what’s been happening to me for the last couple days through my sad girl phase, and it’s so annoying cause every time I feel like ‘okay I’ll be fine I can handle it’ I just get hit with wave of sadness and negative thoughts. This is the story of my life. You hit it right on the nail. I’m always so focused on the what I don’t have versus what I do have which is a lot. Unfortunate situations that I’ve been involved in cause me to dwell and I sink into a depression. It feels good knowing that I’m not alone with this, and that it’s human nature. I can not express to you how much I needed this video. Lately I’ve been keeping myself in a prison of my own worries, trying to analyze and re-analyze all of my relationships and past actions, wondering where things went wrong. Returning to the present moment feels like an enormous relief, but it’s also scary because I’ve become so used to thinking of myself as something defective that needs to change NOW. You’re right though, it’s just become a never-ending spiral of self-criticism and wondering “why?” When there really are positive things in life to be grateful for right in this moment, and other areas of my life I could be building up instead of dwelling on the past. Your channel has been godsend because I feel like there are a lot of women going through the same thing that I am. I just got out of a relationship (2 months long). Broke up in August because because despite me being extremely vocal that I felt like he wasn’t putting much effort, he listened to it, said okay and did literally nothing about it. But I was deluded into thinking that he was because I liked him. I had asked him out and I had told him very very clearly I’m looking for something serious multiple times. I was gonna leave the city for a year because of my studies. He told me he was willing to do long distance. I cried a total of 13-14 times because he would disappear all of a sudden after telling me he’d come to pick me up and not even apologize the next day. I had told him that I’m not comfortable having sex without protection, turns out he took out the protection without even letting me know! He had told me that he’s just gotten too comfortable being single for a long time and I said do you not want to do this? He said no I want to, but it’s gonna take me some time. I had asked him out because he was really really honest and I thought dating an honest guy wouldn’t make me miserable. But he was honest with words, not with actions. I’ve even had one of the previous guys I’ve dated tell me to just get an abortion if I get pregnant. Both these guys, I had told them that I’m looking for something serious and both of them wanted a relationship with me because we had the talk. It’s hard to not completely lose your self esteem over those things. But the last guy I dated, really gave me a wake up call. Through his disrespect he let me know how much I disrespected myself. Not anymore. I’m healing everyday. I’m getting better.

This video popped up and it’s like RU-vid knew I NEEDED this. I have been so obsessed over this certain guy I’ve been talking to. I am such a SEVERE over thinker to the point where I get panic attacks when he’s acting weird or doesn’t talk to me for days or weeks. I really care about him but some days he seems totally obsessed with me and other days he gets distant. I’m trying to detach myself a little from him so I can stop feeling like I need him so much but it hurts. I’m only 4 minutes into your video and currently still watching but thank you so much for understanding my situation. We’re all going thru it ahah. 💗 EDIT: yeah we stopped talking. I noticed he was acting funny and when I finally had the guts to confront him about it he started treating me very differently and became very hostile towards me. Mind you I was the only one there for him in his time of need. Apparently I found out from my dad who is friends with HIS dad that he had brought a woman home and no wonder why he had been ignoring me. When I asked about this he lied and said it wasn’t true and that pissed me off but most of all hurt. We had a huge argument where he said some things and it hurt but I am bouncing back from that in the New Year lol! I cut him off before Christmas and I’ve been healing since. BTW the woman he had at his house wanted to take him to church and JUST BECAUSE OF THAT he got angry, said some awful things and kicked her out. (poor lady) Seems like he was the problem all along. I know my worth and know I deserve better. Happy New Years Guys!!! We’ll all be ok! I promise! 💖 Focus on yourselves this year. :)

I seen this video as soon as I opened the app. You’ve honestly confirmed everything i’ve been thinking when it comes to relationships or even just platonic friendships. we don’t know what anyone else is going through, but dwelling on how they treat us shouldn’t have us questioning our worth. this came at the right time I love this I am so greatful I found this because I am going through or was going through a rejection period from someone and I came up with all theses excuses to why he doesn’t see who I am and I became so very attached to this person and situation that I lost myself in it. I’m coming back and I have my moments but I’m trying to not get obsessed over it too much!! This is quite literally what i needed to hear today. I had such high hopes for this connection working out, i was getting so many dopamine hits from the attention he was giving me, to literally getting no responses and having to ask them if he was still interested or not. which is terrible. I have been so sad about this not working out but i am realizing that you are absolutely right. He was upfront and told me he isn't emotionally ready for a relationship rn and he didn't feel it was fair to make me wait and i completely understood, and we did agree to stay friends. it just sucks that i went from being so hopeful for it to just not work out after having so many disappointments this passed year when it comes to relationships. I am slowly refocusing the attention towards my goals and my aspirations, finding a better job, becoming a twitch streamer and just doing things that i know will make me happy at the end of the day. Recently Ive been having a lot of wake up calls like a random post that addresses of a man doesn’t call you and that post said it’s simple, he just doesn’t want to talk to you and that hit me hard even tho I knew this already. Oh, girl you caught me. For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm actually engaging with someone healthy to the point that the fact overwhelms me. I've gotten attached to the situation that I'm holding on so tightly to keep things exactly as they are. The smallest changes threaten my nervous system and confidence that if I don't regulate myself soon, I might end up being the toxic one. I'm glad this video found me early. It's not easy transitioning from unhealthy situationships to healthy real relationships because even if you've done a lot of healing on your own, you're bound to get triggered. But that doesn't mean you don't try again. That doesn't mean you go back to old patterns. You learn something new about yourself, and new pieces of information about your pain and persona will arise FOR your benefit. You don't need to react to every negative thought, to every fear. You need only to inquire deeper within why you attach your stability so much to these external people or circumstances. Nothing in life is permanent, but your relationship with yourself is. So learn to be non-attached ~ allow things to unfold as they do, allow people to come and go, just let them. It's challenging not to doubt. Perhaps, most of us will never get to the point of ideal full confidence or stability, but we have to try because there are good things waiting for us on the other side to just experience it. I started being grateful about every little things that I love or made me smile in the past. I keep reminding myself of these things over and over again, so that my inner child feel safer and more appreciated❤️ I also try to pull away from people who makes me feel bad about myself. It makes me alone at times but I feel so excited for this healing journey, it’s just the beginning and I am certain better days are coming🥰

This really helped me understand some things about myself and others. I recently just stopped talking to someone( we talked for about 4 months). He was pulling away and didn’t feel the same. I try though I was doing things wrong and he even told me it wasn’t me but I couldn’t stop fixating in the negative about myself. You have helped start to understand I have to stop obsessing over others and learn to ban control within myself and try to up my self esteem. This will help me for life in general and my love life. I’m GROWING through this now. My last journal topic was focused around the mindset shift from “Things happening TO ME” to “Things happening FOR ME” It takes you from a negative space to one where your looking for blessings and lessons in even the most uncomfortable situations. Also, I realized the “panic” or “anxiety” that comes with overthinking or over analyzing a situation can be WAYYYYYYYY WORST then what’s actually happening. I experimented with this just yesterday. When I texted my BF and he responded “I’m not home”. I caught myself overthinking instantly and stopped myself like “chill out and finish your errands peacefully you can simple just ask him ‘what did he do today’ when you get home” Then I ran into him in Target and he was getting house supplies we needed 😅. Imagine if I would’ve reacted.

I love this video so much, helped me a lot!! my ex broke up with me 4 days ago and i did so well but i recently ( a couple of hours before watching this) i called him 5 times and messaged him on a new account since he blocked me on two others accounts. spoiler alert; im now blocked a 3rd time but im going to get back to myself and regulating my days again and tomorrow im meeting friends

Your reaction to rejection is normal, don't beat yourself up or feel lame for pining. Be as pathetic as you need to be but give yourself an expiration date for this behaviour. One day this will all be a memory, you'll laugh at yourself and think " dang, I really be dramatic sometimes ". There's no right way to heal a broken heart but, not dwelling sure does help.

I’ve spent like a year trying to fix it and it’s getting to a point where I just don’t have the energy to keep thinking about it. I don't really comment on videos but I can not stress how much I needed to hear this from someone! Thank you so, so much for this! Truly, I am going to try and focus on what I HAVE and not what I DON'T. As a 17-year-old who happens to have piss poor social skills (but working on it now!) I am so used to going to negative spirals and them further really just ruining moments I am enjoying, or going for opportunities I could take but didn't due to overthinking. This really motivated me to just.... speak about things I like, which I struggled with. From going to crying for no reason, to being more in control of my emotions, I still sometimes require some form of acknowledgement that I'm doing right, and this did just that. I love your perspective on these situations. It’s also helps to know so many women struggle with or have struggled with the types of issues you discuss at some point in their lives and it doesn’t mean you are broken or crazy, you’re just human. Your analogy regarding you guiding your inner child was groundbreaking for me. I am a very visual person and this is the first time I’ve been able to visualize and therefore understand how to control, or “guide”, if you will, my mind and emotions. This could not have come at a more crucial time in my life. There is a few situations I feel like this could apply to in my life right now. I am so grateful this came to me at the exact right moment.

I don't know why I found a lot of comfort sinking into negative feels. It's like a wakeup realisation or sort, I feel like dwelling into my sadness makes me more intelligent to figure out stuffs compared to being just happy and missed out the lessons of the dark side. But too much of something is never good and now that I grow older with more maturity, I look back and wonder why my younger self loved to do that even more. Perhaps those were age of growth where we felt every why's has to be answered whereas today is the time of mature where we felt we've learnt and equipped with a lot experiences enough, so now it's time to just embrace and do the life instead of keep letting life do us.

This is so so true. The boy I love who ik truly love me he want to work on himself and he was explaining to me how he don’t wanna keep blowing me up and seeing me while we’re not together because it’s unhealthy right now for both of us and I agree but like you mentioned in the video I keep going on this roller coaster where one minute I’m fine I got this everything going to be ok and the next minute I’m upset and crying and don’t wanna get out the bed thinking that he’s never going to come back. It sucks but ik he means well and I’ve been doing good with disciplining myself and I stopped checking my messages to see if he texted me usually I’ll block him but i didn’t no longer reacting off of emotions it’ll be ok I’m just gone take it one day at a time. Im going to watch this video daily! Worrying does nothing for me! God is in control

WOW, I have been searching for a video like this for YEARS! I was trying to desperately understand why I reacted so poorly to one situation I was in. I couldn’t comprehend or wasn’t self-aware that I reacted because I had such low self-esteem. I wasn’t taught the right way to handle my emotions by my parents and that really hurt me in the long run. I’m just learning now that it is MY responsibility to teach myself the right way to handle emotions. Otherwise my hurt hurts other people. THANK YOU for this video. I felt crazy in this situation because I was SO paranoid and obsessive with analyzing why someone behaved differently toward me. My reaction to the situation made it SO much worse. And I apologized to this individual when it happened and have wept privately for the hurt I caused them FOR YEARS! How this person treated me wasn’t right but my silence in response to them would’ve been much more affective than what happened. I’m learning that silence in response to gossip MEANS I have the confidence to withstand their lies. These people don’t even deserve not ONE breath from me. I can’t waste my breath on people who don’t want to take the time to be kind. It was a big and PAINFUL lesson. But so needed to recognize I NEED to parent myself and teach myself how to properly handle emotions. So happy for this video because I am aware now and I forgive myself for that situation because I simply used the tools I had at the time. Had a very embarrassing situation I am beating myself up for that happened this weekend. And I’m trying not to obsess and analyze the situation. It happened, it will make for a funny story later, and it’s completely okay

I'm currently living the life "of my dreams", living with my boyfriend, we adopted pets, yet I keep being obsessed with every little thing that's upsetting me (a girl that keeps trying to get his attention, the fact that he is struggling to express his feelings, the fact that we are not physically as close as we were at the beginning...) and I cleary see that it is keeping me from living the life I deserve, a HAPPY life. I’ve been needing to hear this for sooooo long. I really needed this clarity. 😮‍💨Thank you Goddess. I’ve recently cut off pretty much all of my close friends because of I was feeling a pull away. I became mentally obsessed in trying to mend relationships because I was obsessed with getting that old thing back for years. I grew so tired I had to do a clean cut off to avoid those “highs”. I didn’t realize my inner child was in control. But now I can make that conscious effort to shift myself. My whole life has been quick highs and lows so I know it won’t be easy.

just got broken up with a few days ago. it’s soooo easy to dwell on what went wrong. but it has absolutely nothing to do with me, and everything to do with them. i need to focus on myself or i will never get through this. it’s okay to be sad and feel your feelings, but do not search out reasons to feel sad!! overthinking has never helped me. It's really about how u see things. Like try being either delusional or shift the way og thinking for example: Instead of "Why if he doesn't like me?" Try "Why if I don't like him?" or "Do I even need him to like me?" Try seeing things other ways

although i haven’t mastered this yet, detachment is been one of the greatest skills I’ve worked on. A lot of us can’t handle NOT having control, same people when it comes to men WANT to know what they’re doing, what they’re feeling, why they’re acting this way etc.. But we will never get the answer we want. And im telling you right now you sometimes just have to say fuck it and be okay with not knowing certain things. Protect your peace, especially if you know you don’t want to leave him. If you know you’re done, then yea, try to leave. Either way, protect yourself. Nothing is yours except you. Sooner or later you’ll realize that you wont even start to care about everything they do and the things the really matter will come to light on their own.
