Welcome to my latest street photography critique video, where I look at the work of six amateur street photographers who are members of the StreetSnappers Collective.
I'm the Founder of StreetSnappers, an organisation which provides street photography workshops and courses in London and across the UK, Venice, Lisbon, Prague and Paris. Whilst I'm an Official Fujifilm X-Photographer (ambassador), this channel is for everyone, irrespective of what sort of gear you use - including film users!

Thank you Brian for another lovely video. I have been dipping my toes in street photography since June and I recognize the thinking behind the shots more and more. Just like I appreciate your critique. Finding myself contemplating what to shoot as I stroll the streets of Prague, I often revert to taking pictures of passers by while walking - the LCD screen of my camera pulled up, me peeking down, trying not to look conspicuous. Not a recipe for the most engaging photographs, but there you go.

Thanks for your feedback! Prague is a great place for street photography (my son used to live in Zizkov) - maybe you need to work on a project to keep you focused and motivated ;-)

The image of the woman being kicked in the face, you did not mention that the background being fairly monochromatic but the people were wearing blue. So you had the blue clothing down the middle drawing your eyes into the middle of the image. The timing to get the image was spot on.

I am surprised that all of the images are in color, isn’t B&W more suitable for street photography? I am not an expert not by any means, but I was just curious as to which technique lends itself better towards streetsnapping 😉
