Complete step by step instructions on how to replace the CV Axles, lower control arms, axle bearing housing (knuckle joints), ball joints, struts, and lower control arm bushings. This was done on a 2004 Subaru Outback, with a 4 cylinder, 2.5 L, EJ25 engine. This process is almost identical on Outbacks and Forresters from 1996 to 2009.

The piece you were taping and hammering is a tie rod end. You can smack the knuckle on the spindle instead of the threads on it. And it will fall down out.

You are the man! Glad to see you continue to work on your car! You can also put a smaller screwdriver in the rotor vanes before taking off the caliper and torque against it. Works every time. Also hammer where the joint goes though, leave the nut loose but still on, and wack it hard. You can use a pitman arm puller which has rigid arms instead of the puller

Nice work! Where are you setting your jack stands below the Subaru? Are the pinch welds simply centered in the jack stands or are you placing the stands closer to the center of the car? Also what length is that flex head ratchet did you use to break the 32mm wheel nut? Is that the same ratchet you use for the head bolts on your head gasket replacement job? Because the size/length you had for the 180 degree and 90 turns of the head bolts seemed to fit perfectly in your engine compartment. Thanks and keep posting the great Subaru videos! Appreciate the paper bag trick for keeping everything organized in that old video too.

shredhq - I center the pinch welds on the jack stands. As for the ratchet, the bigger the better since you will have to use a breaker bar on it. The ratchet I use is a 1/2 drive and is about 18" long. I'd measure it and give you the exact dimensions, but I'm not home right now. Also, the bag trick is awesome, right? That has totally saved me on my bigger projects. Keep up the good work with your Subaru!
