With that 60 foot u can kill almost anything at the track , pretty impressive for a truck , I got my 87 Stang with my mid size ball bearing 80 mm turbo so trust me when I tell ya u did good my friend.
Nice man! I found you because I'm doin a 5.4 trighton Expedition. Was a pain to find in Colorado but I found a 2 wheel drive. Gonna be fun. Good job on your build!
Nice ...I'm about to drop 8 grand on a 02 super crew factory supercharger, ...clean truck..only 76,000 original miles ...i have a 01 150 5.4.. 2 valve that I use for work but wanna pro charge or supercharge. Sweet truck man.
Nice truck bro love it.Its good to see a guy out there put all that into a build.Instead of just going out and buying a new truck.I myself have a 06 5.4 3v.Also rebuilt engine and transmission.Although I don't have the supercharger. But this truck is tempting enough gotta save up money though
Thanks ro appreciated. And yea them 3v bro with a blower they make a scary build. Trust me on that 💯. But mostly everyone gose with the ls platform because its cheaper. But a ford engine can be as good as any other platform easy
Once you have exhaust intake, maybe some porting done, you wont need more boost. Your boost will actually drop, due to the larger opening, and greater volume of air. reading 8 PSI with better airflow will do as well or better than 12 PSI with less volume. Nice truck, an inspiration.
@@boosteddave4603 Is that due to cost? If cost is not too much of a factor, i would recommend a blower from VMP tuning in FL, (depending on your distance). Great people, great service, and great product and tuning. One stop shop, blower, dyno, tune, etc. Check out mustang Lifestyle, Hes got a few good vids form their shop.
Dang man nice truck thing is a beast! I was having second thoughts about doing the eaton swap to my truck but now I want to lol. I have a 99 ford f150 stepside with a stage 4 cam, headers and all that good stuff just gotta get it dyno tuned and hopefully do the swap here very soon.
Yeah I seen the video and it looks like a whole other beast now. Did those hoosiers grip good with those 16s? Also are you still running the same 4r70w trans and what stall converter are you also running? Sorry for the all these questions man just want a set up like yours or identical to it
Brother !!! Stay with the 2.5 exhaust unless you just wanna go racing it won't make another 5 hp and the torque will suffer on the low end and the drone will return ... I have a 2002 lightning with a 3.4 whipple with 2.5 exhaust and can gap a 392 with ease and have sent zo6 corvettes down the road of shame .... get the 2600 so you dont smoke a piston on high end charges ... GOD BLESS be safe and watch for cops lol
Appreciate the info brother.. I already change the set up. Now it's a singe turbo 76mm precision. But I swap everything now from a crewcab to a 1997 single cab.
Almost the same thing here. I have a 2001 super crew with a 4.6, I'm wanting to put a supercharged engine from a Harley edition (2003). Not doing it myself, I'm over doing swaps anymore. The shop I use for big stuff is getting worried that computer issues will make the job too dicey. From what I have researched so far (been considering this for some years now) I should use a torque converter from a 5.4 truck and the exhaust will need work. Since the 5.4 is essentially a 4.6 with longer stroke, I would think it should be a matter of a tuner (flash?) setting up a new engine tune, just as if I had modded the 4.6 and added any kind of forced induction. I'm not even after squeezing more and more out of it, just some reliability mods to the Harley engine, like the "turkey pan" mod and adding an oil separator after cleaning the intercooler. Later on of course I might do a little to it, but I would be very happy just to have a factory functioning set up done. When you added the blower did you have to do any kind of ordeal with the electronics that was overly frustrating? Did you need to get a stronger fuel pump ? Do you have many videos about the early stages of this project? Do you have a recommendation for a forum group that has a lot of info on the f150s of this generation?
Man I love the exhaust roar with the howling supercharger as the revs climb up the tach! Would like to add a blower to my bright vermillion red 2001 Lariat 4x4. What's the fuel mileage like compared to a stock 5.4, under normal driving? I am happy with current mileage & power for being a four door 4x4 pickup. But I have an 88 Tbird TurboCoupe that made me a boost freak lol.
I am in the middle of a swap I remember your original post about the harness just need to have a couple of wires extended and my other concern is the fuel pump. Did you have enough fuel with the new pump? Thanks for posting all this info. What did you do for the intercooler pump wiring?
I had to switch the a bigger fuel pump and yes I extend intake sensor and tps sensor and for the intercooler pump I ha e it wired to the 12v ignition with the turn key
@@boosteddave4603 what did you tag for the intercooler pump? Your Info is saving my bacon. Thanks for the info! I may do a video also down the road just need to get it started I'll have my motor in by Sunday! Wish me luck!
What is the deal with the paint on those year model trucks? Mine is the same the roof is bad too. But badass truck bro! I want to get mine fixed up but it’s the 5.4.
Badass truck man. Do you still have it and still working on it? I'm from the valley also. Raymondville lol. Got 2 Jeep projects and an F150 that I was wanting to give a little boost to.
@@boosteddave4603 That dyno you used is in Mission? One of my Jeeps is a built 4.7 stroker inline 6. Still working out a few things on it but I'd love to dyno it when it's done
@@TheAmericanUhate yes sr the dyno is at sanolis performance shop in mission tx. U can contact him by Facebook and u can get some runs in and its cheap
@@boosteddave4603 ok I have heard that the heads are the same on the 4.6 to the 5.4 could I put a lightning supercharger on a 4.6 or do you know or do you know a direction to send me.
I know stock lightnings come with dual fuel pumps but I seen you just installed one pump (aeromotive gas and e85 pump) which part number did you use? If I was to do a 93 octane AND e85 tune, do I have to change the injectors to or will stock injectors work?
U will have to change the injectors. The stock fuel rails work great ones u push more power u will have to change lines and rails... and I'll get u the part number tomorrow. And yes the lighting have dual pumps. On my broa lighting we got some e85 pumps that we never installed
@@boosteddave4603 I'm doing the lightning swap on a n/a 5.4. I'm gonna be running a 4lb lower, egr delete, single blade throttle body. If I just wanna do a tune for 93 octane the aeromotive pump you used in your truck with work good for me with stock lightning injectors or you saying in need to upgrade the injectors anyways.?!
@@Nherenandez that's nice and if u are just going to use 93 Oct all u need is a fuel pump and the stock 42lbs injectors that come on the stock lighting and buy a 2600 maf u will need it and u can go to 8lbs of boost and be good all day
Are.yoy from the Valley956 Im trying to do a Lightning swap but need some help.on what i need to do that my regular f150 doesnt have Thin u can help out?

@@JorgeRodriguez-tm6ny badass and I've seen one in the lightning forum coyote swap but it was a lightning and there in laredo theres a guy that has a 2008 lariat f150 4 door coyote swap looks nice
Orale!!! Nice haven’t seen it. And yea I only heard about the lightning maybe about two years ago, but haven’t seen it in a video or pics on Facebook or here in RU-vid.. but hey looking forward on your next project or projects... subscribing right now for more content....

@@boosteddave4603 ok same and thanks for answering bro bad ass channel and great Info. Anyway another question is it true that if I’m roll racing with O/D off I can’t go over like 110 mph. Dicen que así matas las transmisiones de las harleys. True or naw?
Carlos Vega the engine its self came with the blower and supercharged intercooler it's a new engine 4k for that I had to find all the other parts pulley bridge throttle body the elbow and all vacuums lines I had to re do them just on the engine 7k total to make it run. I save money by doing it my self
I was going to do the same its easier on Ebay they sell complete kit form lighting supercharger and u don't need a lightning harness yours will work fine
