In May of 1948 a hot dog stand was begun here to help its owner work his way through school. Your friendship has made that stand grow into the most pleasant drive-in we know of anywhere.
Our goal always is to serve you in a manner that will make you want to return…and bring your friends with you.
Please help us to do more than merely satisfy you. Your criticism is as welcome to us as your patronage.

In rural Kentucky, there are many drive-in carryouts, big boy chain, sonic chain, 1 owner joints, etc...sad that in a large city like chicago they only have 1, ? I do agree with no ketchup on a dog unless it is a kid, or in jersey, it is good on top of the potatoes, but there is mustard on the dogs underneath the onions & peppers.

Only apply ketchup to a dawg/dog to child 9yrs old & younger, ketchup on it is nasty, good that they don't apply ketchup

@YourGuardianSoldier i passed by that place over a thousand times and never went in. why? because their superdawg costs like 4 dollars. i'll stick with vienna beef. i will also swear on vienna beefs goodness. it cant compare. period!

The food, superdawgs look good, the owners, Maurie & flaure look like muppet grouches, wouldn't eat there just because of that. I'm 57, live in Ky., we have drive-ins everywhere, sonic, big boy chains, the parkette, etc... they aren't obselete as the owners would have you think.

I have never heard of a car-hop server in a drive in referred to as a bell-hop, ? The guy who said he has had 20-30 thousand hotdogs there, my be stretching it, lol, for easy math, if there were 400 days in a year & you ate 2 dogs every day, it would take 30 years to eat 24 thousand, but he does seem to be a nice fellow

It’s a Chicago thing. It’s actually pretty ridiculous and stupid to be honest. People would imply that they think that the ketchup detracts from all of the other condiments. If certain people feel that way and they don’t want to put ketchup on their dog then that fine, but don’t tell me or anyone else that we can’t put whatever he please on ours. I don’t put all of that extra stuff of my dog anyway so i’ll only put only ketchup on mine.

I do not eat ketchup on my dog or hamburger, but if i patronize your business, and spend my money, i will put whatever i want to on it, i woulzd take a whole bottle of heinz ketchup , pour it all over the dog, and give it to a kid, if they do not want it, i would pitch it in the trash can out of spite, you do not tell me how i can eat my food
